Well...The appliances are very inexpensive. And thats about all they have going for them. They are very rude and unconcerned with treating their customers well because they know that since the price are cheap, people will continue to come back. I went to buy a fridge. I found one I liked and then proceeded for to wait for about 10 minutes for the guy to come out of the back. Then when he did he was rude to me. His name was Mario. He then rang me up and charged me $5 extra for the fridge. I didnt notice until I was looking on my bank statement the next day that the charge was extra. I thought that maybe I remembered the price wrong, but when I checked my recipet he had rung me up for one price and then ran my card for $5 more. I know its only $5, but its just the fact that it was dishonest and stealing. A few weeks later my sister in law went in and agreed upon a price to fix her washer. He originally quoted her for $20, but later said hed do it for $10. (It was a minor fix. They were cleaning out mold that was in the washer that she had just purchased from them.) When they finished, my dad went down to pick up the washer and Mario again tried to charge him $20. He said that Mario and my sister in law had agreed on $10. The first words that came out of Marios mouth were, "Shes a liar! Shes lying to you!" hmm... My dad got my sister in law on the phone to verify, but Mario would not talk to her saying "I dont talk to liars!" Finally he got a few guys to literally toss the washer into the back of the truck and refused my dads money saying, "I dont take money from liars!" My guess is that the owner is either unaware that he has such dishonest and crooked employees, which is a red flag in and of itself, or they are just as dishonest as their employees. Maybe they just dont care, and they mark their machines down cheap enough that they can rip you off, and still count on you coming back. If you are ok getting ripped off and stolen from in order to get a cheap appliance, then by all means, go to the Appliance Exchange of Utah. But if you are not ok with being stolen from, avoid this place like the plague. Unless you feel like being called a liar.

Horrible!! I bought a washer on the 11th and used it three times before it broke and wouldnt drain or spin. I had to wait two weeks to returnt/exchange due to my husband working in a different state. Got another one after complaining that their product didnt work and brought it home and it flooded our basement due to them not even trying to fix it or run to see that it was still freaking broken! Used it once! I mean come on. If you "back" your store and say its been open 20 yrs shouldnt you at least try to have a crew that is looking at ALL appliances??? Now I have to on top of buying a brand new washer after throwing my money away with this horrible place $300 to be exact, I have to pay for water damage that this other washer they replaced their other broken one with did! What a joke. Im 5 months pregnant and I tried to go the route of being understanding and thanking them for switching the broken out with another but they are just scam artists! Yr warranty for any washer you buy but, for me i am alone most of the time cant lift it into my truck drive over an hr away to drop off and wait 4 days to get it back broken again! Yr warranty is only for them to keep your money and tell me, (look you came here and threw your money away buying used! We cant tell you that its going to even last a day for you thats why we make you bring it back in to fix it.) Save your hard earned money and buy new!

My husband and I were surprised on how friendly everyone was when we walked in, but how RUDE they were when our appliance turned out to be broken. I know its a used appliance, but they said they test out every appliance to make sure they are working before they put them out on the floor. We had to haul everything up ourselves, they make you sign something that says that. Which was okay, but we had to haul up our washer and dryer 3 flights of stairs only to find out that the washer leaks water and the dryer sounded like someone out a brick in it and turned it on. We fixed the leak ourselves by pushing the end back in and the dryer wouldnt turn on. So we called about it being broken because we have a 1 year warranty on it and they told us to just bring it in and they would exchange it for a nicer one that works. Why would anyone sell a broken appliance to anyone? Bad people. In exchange we got a scratched up broken looking dryer.. Its not very fair. Dont buy anything from here. If there is a good review from here, its because they give you a discount if you write a good review. While exchanging it, they talked down to me and my husband saying we didnt know what we were talking about. Super bad customer service. Dont waste your time buying broken things, go somewhere else. Also, Matt is a jerk.

Just bought a washer dryer set. The washer would not drain and the dryer is running now and i can hear it from the laundry room down stairs across the house i do not feel safe leaving the dryer running alone also there is no cover plate on the back of the dryer where the 220 VOLTS!!!! comes in. I bought these knowing they were used. I assumed that someone who knew what they were doing looked over them and checked them out for function and safety. I was wrong. I am writing this review before i contact them because i should not have to worry about my house while doing laundry with one of their used products from day one. And i have no choice but to let them try and fix it now, something that should have already been done. I would have been better off to buy one thru the online classifieds at least the person would be more honest than this legal con artist scam that theyve got going on here. This is a appliance exchange you exchange your broken stuff for theirs lol. P.s I fixed the washer myself they put on a aftermarket switch for the lid that works if they only would a have taken the 5 minutes to bend the pushing piece to actually trigger the switch . Overall i am very displeased, so far im not sure who there techs are but i am sure they do not care about your safety or the jobs.

These people have the WORST customer service EVER!!! Called today to see about a fridge that I was interested in. They put the wrong number on the ad so I was told to call the other number. Called that number & it was to a driver. So he told me to call another number & she said that I had to call the stores in order to be helped. Called the store & the guy there was EXTREMELY rude & not professional AT ALL. Seemed like he didnt want anything to do with the questions that I had. The sad part is, this is not the first time I have dealt with them. I went to the Salt Lake store to see if they had a part for my dryer. The guy there was rude & not professional at all. He told me that I had to go to Orem to get the part. I asked if they had it & instead of looking up or even calling to see if they had the part, he said I had to go down there myself to see. I will DEFINITELY will not EVER go to them for any business EVER again. That whole saying spread the word. Yea I will spread the word of how HORRIBLE this place is & to not go there. Not only did they lose a customer for bad business, but this customer will spread the word NOT to waste there time to go there.
