Lifeway flame: I think this store is a joke. Over the past +15 years or more that I have called them, they have seldom if EVER had a book or a piece of music that I was needing. This time, I was searching for "The New Testament Documents, Are They Reliable", by F. F. Bruce. Yes, its an older book, yes its gone through a few re-printings, but its a classic work of evangelical and Protestant commentary on Scripture. Its used in seminaries, its found in many church libraries, most pastors have it on their bookshelves, and its not as if it eats up a ton of shelf space and would be hard to stock as a thin little book that it is. Id parted with my college copy and suddenly need it for a meeting next weekend. Wellers Bookworks, which sells both new and used, didnt happen to have a copy, Barnes & Noble doesnt have one on the shelf, a couple friends couldnt be reached, and the online PDF might not have footnotes I wanted to show. I dont hold places like B&N, Borders, Sam Weller to the same standard as I might something called "a Christian bookstore", so I was disappointed but not surprised that they didnt have one. I again (pessimistically) turned to Lifeway even though theyre located far across the valley from me. Not only did they not have a copy of it, but the guy said its never even been in their system. Never been in their system?? What do they sell? Just fluff? They dont carry a significant classic like that? I hope they have a couple Bibles in there at least. Maybe they just sell "trinkets" or refrigerator magnets or any trivial thing that has a dove or a cross on it. Capitalizing on the word "Christian" in a community of disparate faiths just to get people in the door or be able to advertise differently. So annoyed again. Looks like Amazon wins another high-priced delivery order.

I really had no complaints about the store. The selection was fine and I didnt have too many problems finding things. I had no complaints until I went to check out. It was like being interrogated by the CIA. They want your name, your number, your address, your first born, etc. They told me they use the information to look up receipts and for shipping. I wasnt shipping anything and a simple phone number would have done for the receipt look up. Whatever happened to just going into a store and buying things and leaving? Im not a Christian so I find it disturbing that they need so much information just to buy a book. Next time I will just go to Barnes and Noble. They have a similar selection of things without the unnecessary questions.

First of all, the store is still there! They have a really good selection of Christian books and bibles and all kinds of cool stuff for the kids. The store is very neat and clean. However, the service was not where it should have been. I came in with my kids to find bibles for all of us and we were hardly acknowledged. Looked around for probably 30 minutes before someone asked if we needed help. Just very stand-offish and not very helpful at all.

Ive been in to this store several times. Ive brought in my busy boys a few times too. Some stores I take my boys in to we get the stink eye. Heaven forbid boys act like boys and not like their in a library constantly. The workers offered help to my sons find something as well to my husband and myself. I was asked many times if there was something we needed. Well continue to shop here in the future.

It was so refreshing to walk in and be greeted by 4 people. Here in Utah with the given culture of LDS it is refreshing to see and be able to go to a store that sells books, clothes, music, movies, and Bibles that are solely Christian. I didnt feel judged walking in there. They were very helpful. I was asked repeatedly if there was anything they could help us find. Wonderful Store.

1st time in store, 3 seconds in-Im greeted, I had viewed the web site and had a very narrow/exacting need, the very kind person(s) (more than one hunting the store) that helped me not only searched out exactly what I wanted she then showed me the lay of the land/store. Every topic-department, and the types of products there in. What a great first experience/impression!

My favorite store ever! Music, Literature, Clothing, ect.. All Christian related! nothing like Deseret book, Desert-et book is more appropriate, and is what you need to do with whatever you bought from there! Everything sold at Lifeway is related to the true gospel, and will help you build a relationship with Christ, and if you already have one, to strengthen it.
