I expect to be upgrading to 4-5 stars, but this Harmons either has startup pains, or it is not going to be a Harmons I go to. It is a virtual clone of the store just over Point of the Mountain at Bangerter Crossing except for shelving like downtown. While its just up the road from where I work at Thanksgiving Park, there is a lot of traffic to negotiate to get there. Once there, its a great big nice new store. So, with all the huge full aisles, why cant I find a number of items they always carry at the Orchard store in Orem that is closest to my house? I get frustrated at some of the specialty items I can get North of the Point that they will only get by special order. I liked the idea that this store might be a place to stop by on my way home. It wouldnt be further out of my way than going to the Orchard store. I certainly saw that the cheese and cured meat section was the big nice one. There was more nice cuts of meat in the case. Ive not seen such nice lamb chops in the case at other places. As I was checking to see if Veal might make a showing South of Salt Lake, there was nothing. However, an employee said it was coming. If so, score. Hopefully, thats the issue with other items. No duck or goose. No Liberte yogurt. I buy those pretty regularly. The checkout was painfully slow with multiple mistakes. The bagger was having trouble figuring out how to put things in the reusable cloth bags. I expect they new checkout will get better. For now, its OK, but its not ready for prime time yet. Ill give it another try next month. Until then, its the local and Bangerter Crossing.

First, I love the store design, layout, and quality. The produce is excellent. The variety of items is great. It has an excellent salad bar, good soups, and pretty good pre-made meals (they tend to be hit or miss). I love that they have the upstairs areas for classes, hanging out, and even have live music some Friday nights. The employees are the best around and super friendly. (Though getting service in the bakery has been difficult for me a couple of times now - even with employees standing around). Its doughnuts are pretty mediocre. They arent light and fluffy and the variety leaves much to be desired. Competitive stores have much more variety and the doughnuts just taste better. The rest of the bakery is pretty good, including their bagels. But, all of that comes at a price. Their prices are exceptionally high, even considering the premium store and items. I dont mind paying a bit more for that, but Harmons takes it to the extreme. Also, some items deserve premium pricing when there is a quality difference, for example produce. But not items that are pre-packaged and the same brand from store to store. Harmons remains a store I shop at for a few specific items from time to time or if I want something pre-made. But it forces me to do most of my shopping at competitors with its pricing. Its a shame since it is such a nice store - but I guess they have to pay for that beautiful building somehow.

OVERVIEW I was happy to see them move in (I live in some apartments nearby), and enjoy walking there. The only thing Im not too big on is the paper bags they hand out, but it is just as easy to request plastic. If you hit them real early in the morning theres hardly anyone there, which makes shopping easy. Im not sure if all the people shopping is because of the excitement of a new store, or if it will become the norm. LOCATION To me, this Harmons is the perfect location, it is the closest grocery store for at least a good 5 miles. The hours are useful for a quick round-the-corner milk run. PRICE The prices feel slightly steep, but my understanding is all Harmons are a little steep in price, because theyre supposedly higher quality, and try to focus on selling local produce. PRODUCT/SERVICE Thus far, the products they sell are good. Havent had any complaints as of yet. (Granted, theyve only been open for about a month, and Ive probably gone there once to twice a week since theyve been opened.) EMPLOYEES As of yet, I have not had one negative experience with any of the employees, theyre all friendly, and will generally stop what theyre doing to help you find that one box of otter-pops.

If I could give this location zero stars, I would. I will not be giving this Harmons my money after the horrific experience my family had. My cousin and her husband were accused of stealing, had the cops called on them, and were banned from shopping here, even though they had a receipt and there was no proof of theft from the surveillance videos. They were let go with no charges, because they were OBVIOUSLY innocent, but were banned because " the employees do not feel comfortable with them shopping here." I can understand an employee stopping someone if they suspect a person of stealing and asking for a receipt; but having them hassled by the police after receiving their proof, and then having them banned from the store (probably because theyre so embarrassed they were wrong and dont want to see their faces again, reminding them of their mistake) is just excessive and unnecessary and no innocent person should be treated like that.

I make my husband drive to this Harmons instead of our local one thats nearby. This one is SO MUCH better, its big and spacious, filled with yummy goodies and a wonderful meat selection. Their produce section is quite nice as well, and the bakery makes really nice treats. One downside I experienced was buying some flat breads that still had a 2 week expiry ahead, but was molded entirely through the next day, and it doesnt seem like that particular shelf is well maintained. And I have gone there to get a few specific pieces of pork or turkey, only to find they had neither of the cuts I needed on that specific day. And sometimes the assistants by the Self-Checkout can be on the slow side. But its also the only place where I have found fully enclosed bathroom stalls! So yay for that.

They have EVERYTHING here you could want! Such a nice grocery store and very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Often have several samples to taste. I just wish it was a slightly cheaper place to shop at since its really too expensive to do my general grocery shopping here, but its great for produce and hard to find items. I kind of wish they had a day old section for their fresh stuff since theres no way they sell all they make and I dont mind buying fresh salsa a day or two old.

Disregard reviews from anyone who would complain about paying minimally more for incredible quality and great service. Best Harmons weve been to in Utah. Not only can you find 100% healthy, there is nothing better than supporting local brands. I cant say enough about Gary, their seafood manager. He literally helps me plan my meals and everyone there will take you through their department with ALL questions on food pairing, ingredients, and quality. I look forward to grocery shopping.

Harmons is not the least expensive store out there, but the food tends to be good quality, and theres a variety and selection that is hard to match. Other points of interest are the cafe, gelato, and other cooked food that you can buy, as well as a cooking school on the second floor. The Harmons in Lehi is very clean and pleasant to visit, as grocery stores go. Get their oranges in the end of February/beginning of March. Theyre the best Ive found at a store.
