I placed an online order with Home Depo in Waxahachie, TX at 11:45am on March 11th and noted that I would pick up the order at my local store at 4:30pm that day. At 12:02pm I got an email notification that my order was ready for pickup. When I arrived at Home Depot to pick it up, they informed me my order was ready but they had cancelled part of the order because the items were not in stock, however, my credit card had been charged for the full amount of the original order. The young man at the counter gave me a receipt showing a charge for ONLY the amount of items they had in stock and said the charge to my credit card should reflect that new amount by the end of the day. THEN to my dismay, when I pulled around to the garden center to pick up my order, it was NOT ready! I had ordered twenty 40lb bags of compost (and some other items) and had to wait for the ONE person on duty in the garden center pull those bags. { I had asked if the cancelled items could be ordered and sent to the store for me to pick up later, and they said "probably not, they dont carry that item...." but it WAS listed as available, and showing IN STOCK, as an online item for purchase ON THEIR WEBSITE. I left Home Depo and went across the street to Lowes and THEY had the item I needed in stock. I purchased all they had on hand. This morning, March 12th, I checked my bank account and the charge for the FULL order at Home Depo IS still showing, not the adjusted amount for the items I actually received! I called the store and the man that answered said I would have to call online customer service. So I immediately called Home Depos Online Customer Service department and the rep I spoke with said that in 5 to 7 days, the true amount should be reflected on my account!!! WHAT??! Thats nuts. I order online quite often and the amounts are adjusted almost immediately to reflect the true order totals. I will NEVER shop at Home Depo online again!!! Their all around service and treatment of customers; knowledge of what is available is sub par at best. Lowes provides much better customer service.

I am working with a volunteer organization that is sending 250 volunteers to Houston to assist with mold remediation in the areas where the water has already receded. I called the store manager (James) and asked if they would be able to assist in any way. He said that we were welcome to walk into the store and buy our supplies at retail as they were pursuing their own charities. My request was for some safety knives at cost, I wasnt asking for a donation. I let him know that the Lowes across the street gave us over $700 worth of material at cost and they were already committed to a large red cross donation besides sending volunteers from the store. He simply stated that he wasnt interested in helping. When youre trying to display a volunteer spirit, people like James make It more difficult to display a positive attitude. While im in Houston helping people rebuild their lives, ill be sure to tell the story of Home Depot. If anyone from corporate would like to contact me, I have all of the receipts from Lowes.

I needed a bottle of welding gas for my TIG welder, so I noticed that Home Depot sold this product several visits earlier. I stopped by last night (Wednesday 6/15/16) on the way home from work to pickup a bottle. The cashier in the lumber department called her "manager" to come and unlock the outside cage to get me a bottle. I waited fifteen minutes for someone to arrive and get me a bottle, but that was my limit. If you cant get from one side of the store to the other in 15 minutes, you need to be replaced. So in summation, going to Home Depot for welding gas is like going to Target or WalMart to upgrade your smartphone. You are CERTAINLY going to have problems. Good luck !!!

My father in law went up there to make a return, and they treated him very rude and like he was doing something wrong and did not want to return his item, then when he went to leave they were looking in his car as if he was some kind of criminal, all this would not have mattered if they had been polite about it but the fact is they were very rude and treated him very unprofessionally. This is the last time we will choose to go to this location, as customers you would expect to be treated with better customer service. Very frustrated about this experience and am going to be contacting corporate about the lack of customer service that was received.

Working on a deck project that I found on a blog. The blogger raved how great her Home Depot was when she purchased her material. Thought a win win for me. Loved Home Depot. Got here, they dont cut conduit pipe as the one in her blog. This was not an old blog post. Consistency is a pet peeve of mine. Why would some offer the service and not others. Called Lowes while still in the store to see if they cut conduit pipe, they said sure we can cut that for you. Convenience is a must for me when working small projects. Shout out to Sam that really tried his best to help. He saved the sale today, going to Lowes in the future.

Great Customer Service, employees always know where stuff is OR enthusiastically finds someone that does. Lowes Home Improvement in Waxahachie, TX ALWAYS have plenty of employees on staff to help with my needs AND I am always left with the feeling that I have been given "the PRO" attention. And a special bouquet of Kudos goes out to Elaine in gardening. She KNOWS HER STUFF and is WILLING to answer every dumb question I throw at her. Your hiring staff is on top of their job when going through the process as they seem to hire only the best!!!!

I saw a lady pushing/pulling two flatbed carts loaded with bags of dirt, soil, peat moss. Four young men, all employees, stood by and watched her try to get everything loaded into her truck by herself. Another customer and myself helped her while the employees just watched and talked about her. I think Lowes will have everything I need, no more trips to Home Depot for me. Customer satisfaction is a must for businesses. The lady was not satisfied, nor was I.

Horrible. Waited 20 minutes to look at one item. Apparently it was time to unload shelves in front of the item we wanted, on a Saturday. The 2 gentleman never asked us is there something we can help you with...nothing, they just watched us as we stood there and stood there... so I left and I went to Lowes . Still asking myself why did I wait so long... when Lowes is just across the street.

Im a contractor and getting items pulled before arrival via phone sale is impossible. Other than that I have no problems. Except waiting in contractor line waiting on someone to buy a bag of fertilizer or plant food. But I understand its usually the only non self checkout open.
