While their costs are affordable, I have had two negative experiences with this shop. Two months ago, I brought to them a watch that had a small amount of dust under the crystal and asked them to simply blow it out. Whoever opened the watch case mustve used compressed air and they subsequently blew some of the cold liquid from inside of the can onto the dial. When I picked up the watch and pointed this out to them, they said there was nothing they could do. There was no apology and no attempt to mediate, and I felt extremely disrespected for trusting this shop. They also did a dial change for me a few months ago and misaligned the hands and the date window wouldnt roll over at midnight. They rectified this mistake which was why I came back. After having two bad experiences with this shop, I plan on taking them to small claims court over ruining the dial on my limited edition watch, for which there are no replacement dials. Buyer beware.

I had a wonderful experience at Powers Jewelry. After being told from several name brand jewelry stores that my dads wedding ring couldnt be resized to fit my sons finger it was very pleasant to find someone who would actually discuss this with me. I was told exactly what to expect when it was resized (resizing would show). Knowing this I decided to go ahead with the resizing because my son really wanted to have his granddads ring. When I picked up the ring it looked like a new one. I could not tell at all that it had been resized. It was polished and shining. The ring was still a bit too big and they shrunk it immediately (cant do this to all rings) at no charge. Fabulous customer service. I will definitely return for all my jewelry repair needs and highly recommend Powers Jewelry.

Walking in wanting some help with a watch I was thinking of buying. Was told they needed to see watch first, ok understandable....asked what it would cost to replace pallet, mainspring, and escape wheel on Rolex 3135 movement and before i could finish, guy said i dont know have to look at watch, then every answer after that was immediately, I dont know, or I couldnt tell you. Bring it in. We can give you estimate. I said ok...the Rolex i had on at the time, i took off and said how much to relume the hands and dial on this watch. Its in my hands, brought in, looking right at it. Answer: I dont know, our rolex guy isnt in.......apparently a vampire. Not sure id trust this place with my least valuable watch, let alone my Rolex. Not impressed.

My fiance went in to have her ring resized and was told her ring was fake. It is a custom ring which was made by a fantastic family jeweler in El Paso. When my fiance told the jeweler this he scoffed and asked if I had it made on Mexico. This shop has poor customer service. The jeweler, if you want to call him that, didnt even acid test the gold to verify the authenticity. NeXtra he said that the sapphire was not real due to small chips. The sapphire in question is 85 years old and has two very small chips....because its 85 years old! This store is terrible. Beware if they offer cheap services they most likely have cheap work.

I have been going to Powers Jewelry for years. I had a ring with a tanzanite center stone. It was missing a small diamond in the setting. I had taken it to another jeweler who quoted me $200 for the replacement. I took it to Powers and they set the replacement stone for a fraction of the price. I had my mothers pearls re-strung there and it was also done for less than I was expecting to pay. They are honest and fair and locally owned . Every one should use this jeweler!!

I absolutely LOVE this place. I have an antique Waltham wristwatch that they have worked on a couple of times and done fabulous work. Honest people who are knowledgable and show great integrity, not only in their workmanship, but also in the way they do business. I will never use anyone else in the Lubbock area for repair work. Great job guys!!

I went in to have my necklace repaired. The employees who worked there were polite and eager to assist me with all of my needs. My necklace was repair quickly and I was contacted when it was ready to be picked up. The necklace was repaired and polished before it was returned to me. I am very satisfied with their work.

I have so much to say this may take a day or 2. I found thru investigating that a couple posts on here are conflicts of interest. These people are wonderful. There arent alot of full service shops around anymore. Ecspecially ones who charge below fair. I will finish my review and you can decide for yourself.

My Bf took in my necklace to be repaired because it was broken. They thought they were slick and changed the necklace to a cheaper one. When I noticed this I went in to ask them for my original necklace and he swore that was the original. He did not care. Nothing was done. Do not recommend this place! Liars
