We had a horrible experience dealing with this business. I purchased a piece of jewelry here for my wife as a Valentines Day gift. Long story short, my wife did not like the piece I bought and wanted to return the item. The item was purchased on a Saturday, the business was closed Sunday, we had a hectic day Monday, did not get to return the item until Tuesday, three days after purchase. The once very friendly and outgoing staff (at time of purchase) met me with a surly, indifferent attitude when I informed them that I wanted to return the item. They informed me that they did not give refunds more than 1 day after purchase and perhaps I would like to exchange the item. My wife looked around the store but could not find anything that she wanted and we informed the staff of this and that we would really appreciate a simple refund. At this point, I was shown a bronze plaque hanging behind one of the counters that stated "no refunds." I apologized to the owner and said I must have missed it but at the same time, no one ever informed me of this policy at the time of purchase, even when I expressed uncertainty about whether my wife would like the item. He immediatly became defensive and accused me of removing the diamonds from the piece and placing fake stones in their place, he also mentioned that if my wife had worn them at all he couldnt resale them because of an unspecified "health department code." When I asked him why this would not be a concern if I were exchanging the item for something else in his store he became livid. I mentioned reporting him to the better business bureau and he began ranting that he had this whole conversation recorded on camera, Im not sure what he meant by that. But this once friendly, hand shaking, seemingly kind gentleman was now completly irrational. We ended up getting our refund for the item but it was no easy task. Dealing with the bigger, corporate jewelry stores is the better bet. I would never do business here again.

Top Recommendation!! My fiance and I highly recommend MG Jewelry. Gabi is a rockstar in the jewelry world and has been in the business for 20+ years. I must admit, driving by his store and at first glance when we walked in, we were very skeptical of the potential and quality they could offer. If youre looking for a cookie-cutter piece of jewelry, go to the "big name" stores. If youre looking for high quality, customized jewelry, this is the place. I bought my fiance an engagement ring from a "big name" jewelry store and we allowed Gabi to customize a wedding band to fit the engagement ring. She loves it and our expectations were very high. We are pleased that we wont run into anybody else that has this same wedding band. Do yourself a favor and stop by MG Jewelry to talk with Gabi, you will be impressed.

May be OK for jewelry, but dont take a watch there to be repaired. Very slow - took months to get our 37-year old sons Fossil watch repaired. Paid $50.00 to get a $100.00 watch repaired. Shop claimed they replaced entire movement. First time our son tried to set time and date (hes owned the watch for several years), the stem broke off. We took the watch back, and all the owner (?) could do was tell us about how our son broke it. He basically made it sound like it was our fault that the stem broke the first time he had the watch in his hands. Horrible customer service as far as I am concerned. There are better choices in Lubbock - I for one will not return. BTW - Im not hiding behind a pseudonym...

Absolutely the best jeweler in Lubbock and probably in Texas, very professional and a pleasure to work with. I have had my wifes wedding set custom made here and my wedding band custom made as well. I also had a pendant necklace made and everything has been designed by me and Gabbi the owner. My wife and I have been completely satisfied with the results. I would highly recomend MG Jewelers for anyone that wants quality work done a very good price. Thank you sooo much for all that you have done for us!

We have nothing but praise for this business. We received excellent customer service and quality workmanship on a custom made ring. Customer service now days leaves a lot to be desired and to us that is what primarily makes a business. So if your looking for good old fashion customer service and attention to detail when it comes to your jewelry needs I highly recommend MG Jewelry.
