Im not really sure what to say about this store. The first few times we went we bought DVDs and had no problem, the last time we were there though may have left such a bad taste in my mouth I probably wont go back. My husband and I purchased season 2 and season 3 of Game of Thrones and the third season of Entourage. GoT were $18.00 each and Entourage was $1....so total was $39.00ish with tax. Well we get home and neither season of GoT will play, DVD player says disc error, so we tried them in our Xbox 360 and it says the door is still open. We tried to see if Entourage would play but noticed we only had disc 2 and 3, no disc 1. So we went back a day later with receipts to get it corrected. Store policy states no cash refunds, which I totally understand, we were hoping to either exchange or get store credit. They didnt have GoT on dvd but offered to let us exchange for Blu-ray, awesome! But they only had season 2, no season 3 and no replacement for Entourage. Thats fine, well take store credit, no worries. We were told theyd give us $12 for season 3 of GoT and $.10 for Entourage.....wait.....why arent we getting what we paid in store credit??? We arent bringing in DVDs for resale, we are returning faulty DVDs that we bought! We had no other choice than to take that offer so the store basically stole almost $7 from us! $7 isnt much but if they do that to 100 people thats $700 the store is stealing! I understand the no cash refund policy but if you sell faulty merchandise the full amount should be given in store credit!!! So just beware....if you have to return something you WILL get screwed. It sucks because we hadnt had a problem until this but now Im not sure well be back. Youd probably be better off paying a little more at Half Price Books and have the peace of mind that you wont get screwed for their mess up.

Word of warning, Sell them what you may but do not buy electronic devices from them unless you are willing to gamble whether the device will work or not and then spend weeks trying to figure out how to get your money back. There is a reason their phone number takes you to a machine. There is no cash back for devices that dont work, instead they give you store credit which can either be spent at the store or online. Common sense would dictate that if a customer bought a defective item from a store, that customer would prefer not to do business with them again. The warranties are moderate considering the risks you will be taking but after doing business with them I would have much rather preferred to have gotten my money back and forgot I ever even set foot in the store. In short, make your life easy... just dont.

I brought in a Galaxy Note 4 into the CEX in Humble TX The young man behind the counter told me CEX would purchase the phone from me for $75.00 with the charger. I didnt have the charger with me so the next day after a 20 mile drive back with the charger he then opened the back off the phone and told me he needs the oregenal battery. Im frustrated now why didnt he tell me this the first time i came in the day before. now after another drive back with the oregenal battery he looks at the phone and tells me theirs a problem with the screen. why didnt he check out the phone the first time i came in I guess some people can think if i would have known all this on the first visit I could have saved my time and gas for 120 mile trip Where does CEX find these people? I will never go back here for anything

They buy stolen phones at the customers expense. Phone shut off while on an out of state trip because a block was put on it. Instead of refunding the money back to your card or with cash they make refund you with store credit forcing you to do business with an incompetent sales team. Also threatened to kick me out because I told them they need to do better than that. Which is completely uncalled for. This place wont last. Theyll get shut down for shady business tactics. Dont buy a phone here.

You know, I dont know what to say. When I tried to cash my old phone, they looked really closely and they told me they couldnt because there was a crack on top of the headphone jack. Literally, it takes a magnifying glass to barely even see it. Then, I got a Toshiba computer for nearly $300 from there, and they didnt even bother to clean it. So when I pick it up, it feels really greasy, and its so hard to type and use the trackpad, even when I tried to clean it.

Got here at 2:30 pm to sell some games. I drove 20 minutes and they tell me they are no longer doing cash for the day.... At 2:30???? Sucks!
