My research across the web coupled with a few exploratory calls to this business indicate a pattern of poor response to customer requests and little desire to provide a positive experience to shoppers. Complaints are equal in number to positive reviews. This business indicated that they do not offer parts for sale nor do they accept trade in merchandise towards the purchase of ready-for-sale used appliances. This is in stark comparison to all other merchants in this category. Which likely indicates that they are not a legitimate used appliance business, and most likely do not repair or re-manufacture appliances but simply make cosmetic improvements and resell all appliances "mechanically" as-is. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALER unless you are very knowledgeable about how appliances work and are able to spot and avoid potential problems with any appliance you intend to purchase. I would like to address another reviewer of this dealer. You are quite wrong. Many of the used appliance dealers in our area are 100% honest and honorable business people. The business of used appliances is not by its nature a rip-off, it is a vital and important aspect of the appliance industry. Used appliance dealers recycle a huge percentage of parts and appliances that would otherwise be waste. They provide good working appliances at significantly reduced prices compared to new ones, allowing landlords to provide better appliances than they might otherwise. And, allowing the less fortunate to own good working appliances that they could not otherwise afford. People like you have a bad experience with this industry because you ask for it, in fact, you usually insist on it! You demand unreasonable quality and appearance for unreasonably low prices, then write bad reviews for an industry you dont understand when you are disappointed and left holding the bad by dealers who you insisted on screwing out of any hope of a profit!

Norman sure talks a good game until your merchandise is paid for, then good luck actually receiving what you paid for! Run for the hills! My only comfort is in knowing that Norman is 80 years old and shouldnt be around too many more years to blatently rip people off ! I paid for installation and delivery, plus a vent hood which I was not reimbursed for! They showed up 4 hours late and didnt bring the proper tools for installing the refridgerator, didnt bring the freezer, and good luck trying to get them to come back to finish the job! There are not enough words to describe what thieves they are! I even sent Norman an extra $20 to tip the installation guys, which they never received! It would almost be worth it to send him to small claims court, just so he can be as aggrevated as he made me! He is as crooked as they come! Oh, also, he will tell you there have never been any complaints with the BBB, well guess what, hes not even on the BBB site! Thieves and liars!!!Too bad, because I am buying several properties as investments, and I sure will never use them again! Scary!!!!

THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!! DO NOT do business with these people! They literally came to fix our washer and STOLE it. I kid you not. They said they needed to take it to get repaired, and still have not returned it, a MONTH later. The first time they were supposed to come here they never showed up. I called and rescheduled. Also did not show up. Tried a third time and they did not show up! I would not have used them if my landlord was not the one who was working with them already. We called them five different times to get information on our machine and they said they would call us back every time. Never did. Now they said they dont know where our machine is. And have offered to have the landlord but a new one at a discount. WTF people?!?! We dont need a new machine. Give us back OUR machine that you freaking STOLE.This is not a business. Its clearly a scam. STAY AWAY!!!!!! I will be reporting them to the police if we dont get our washing machine back.

A1 is excellent. Appliances are priced reasonably, and Ive found them to be honest and friendly. I bought a stove from them and was able to find one for just over $100 (2006). I believe it was a 90 day window that was allowed for them to do repairs on this used unit if there were any problems. You can also call them for service which Ive found to be reasonable. For my price point, I value honesty, integrity, and well priced service, and that is exactly what A1 has. They get a lot of calls, and they dont have a huge staff, so if something is important, just call back to get status. Being friendly and patient goes a long way.

Over 20 years, Ive bought several appliances from this shop. They give a 1 year warranty and they honor it. Twice, I have had my appliance break down in the 10th or 11th month, and, even though I had lost my receipt in one instance, they fixed it for free. They haggle prices a little bit and have purchased appliances from me (if they are in good condition and not too old). They also deliver and install for a reasonable price. Im pretty surprised by any bad reviews here. Its a dirty old fixit and sell it shop, but Ive had nothing but good experiences there.

I gt taken for $50 by this outfit. They came by and told me that my window a/c was broken, which I already knew. Said that they would knock the $50 service call fee off a used unit. Three weeks later, they have not come up with a used unit for me, so I moved along and found one elsewhere. I got absolutely nothing for my $50, and would recommend that you look elsewhere for your used appliance needs.

my Experance from a-1 was wonderful... They was so helpful and professional ... always going the extra mile to takecare of me. they fixed my refrigerator and saved me money on my food because they came very quickly before my food went bad..thank you so very much......

Check out JUSTIFIED APPLIANCE. Ive bought 3 appliances from there and I had a great experience. There is 3 years warranty on all parts and labor and most of the time, its cheaper than anyone else in town.
