Sister Girl

A few years ago I purchased a sofa, TV stand and an end table for an excellent price. So I thought Id check back and see if anything else was available. I was just window shopping but,,,, I saw a sofa Iiked ,,,, I touched it, rubbed it sat on it and wondered if it would work for me in my MPR room, unfortunately, there was no price tag on it. A very observant gentileman came over and asked if I had any questions. Larry was in name, he let me know the price. All the furniture was 50%, but not this sofa. (it had just come in the day before) Larry showed me the defect in the sofa (I really appreciated that) and gave me sometime to think about it. After much pondering I made a decision and Larry worked with me so that I was able to purchase the sofa. Larry even suggested a couple of moving people to help me with delievery. He made the entire transaction a lot easier than I expected. Also, the cashier was very patient with me. I will be shopping here in the future as the need or the "want" arrives. I come here just about every Saturday and spend between 10 and 30 each time because of what the stores represented. Today I was accused of switching price stickers. Everyone knows when you go home and try to take the price sticker off it rips off in pieces . A older tall Caucasian man with fair colored hair and glasses and a white shirt on so a manager possibly, was the one to accuse me. He was so rude you should never be so rude and accuse and be disrespectful to a customer. I will not be returning to any salvation army store ever again nor will any of my family or friends especially my church members. We will not be donating to any of the salvation army store either. The only good thing I can say is about another manager whose name I do not remember but he was an older African American man who was very nice and respectful.

Clothes are alright but they are old fashioned. If you want some out of date clothes come here. Some really cool basic tees are here. You just have to really search. Furniture is okay. The knick-knacks are really cool. They sometimes have name brand and well kept sneakers. Service here is iffy. Sometimes they are extremely friendly and check you out without a problem. Other times they get all nasty with you or take for ever to check you out because they dont know how to work the registers. But its an okay place.

We were just there to drop off a donation of clothes and houseware items. We were treated so rudely by the man working in the receiving area (we later learned his name is Donovan) that we left after unloading only one box. Now the boxes and hanging clothes sit in our garage. Huge disappointment after respecting the purpose/work of the Army since childhood.

My first time in here was yesterday and I didnt have a fun time. It was so chaotic and dirty. We went to 7 thrift stores yesterday and this was the worst. To be fair, I didnt shop for clothes, so maybe the clothing section is fantastic. I dont know! They have lots of furniture, which is awesome, but its hard to figure out whats on sale and for how much.

This place has some good furniture and household items, but they are overpriced. I was interested in a very basic coffee table and computer desk chair, but if I planned on spending $40 on each of those two items, I would have just gone to Wal-mart.

You might want to remember you are a thrift store before you price some of your items. Some of your items are priced higher than when the item was brand new or priced high with half of the items missing out of it.

I was offended by how overpriced everything was in here, some items were priced higher than you could buy them new Not one deal in the entire place to be had, yikes.
