I absolutely LOVE Texas thrift. I go there all the time with my best friend and we renew our closets for only $100 which would be over $500 in a normal store! Very organized, the workers are great and they remember faces, and sometimes names. When I wear the clothes I find there my friends ask me where I got them and when I tell them, "The Thrift store" they never believe me! The looks on their faces are priceless!! Now me, I would call myself a professional bargain hunter. I know what I want/am looking for when I shop there & Ive been there enough to know how their service works and where they put the best stuff. They always let the workers pick the radio stations that play up front, which I think is cool. I would highly advise shopping there, especially when you want a majority of your closet remodeled! They also have great choices when Halloween comes around, putting the costumes up front for all to see. I even shop there when I want a home-made costume, which is every year. (; The things you can find there are crazy awesome and weird at the same time! The clothes are very clean, however they do not get ALL the stains out. They do well on getting a lot out, but for the rest of the stain...Thats the buyers job. And they have more than just clothes; shoes, kids toys, bikes, bed frames, household decor, microwaves... a lot of microwaves, a lot of different items I have found and reconstructed to be something awesome!! I always come up with cool things that arent too cheap, and if you find a fabric or something you really love, but its a giant granny muumuu that seems it could fit an elephant!! Just get out that old sewing machine, find an awesome pattern and turn it into something new!! Um, I hope this helped you. Goin shopping tomorrow for some new clothes! Like, really... I actually am. This used to be my favorite thrift store, but it has gone the way many do, and started pricing things waaaay too high. if I want to pay department store prices, then I would go to a department store. I mean your inventory is free, people donate the stuff, for crying out loud! I know there are still overhead cost and such, but sheesh. I used to be able to get a pretty decent shirt for three bucks, now when I go in they are 6 bucks and up with stains and holes. I still but find I walk out with one or two items and a lot of times with nothing at all. Rare for me when it comes to thrift stores. I still go there on occasion, just to see if they have changed their greedy ways, but I now primarily shop at the one on Miller, the one on First, and the two on Broadway as well as Goodwill.

The 1st thrift store I ever visited remains the best. This for profit business offers a bit of everything so Ill focus on their excellent selection of mens clothing. Expect jeans, slacks, coats, sweaters, sport, and dress shirts by Polo, Nautica, Dockers, Izod, Gap, and Nordstrum (occasionally new, with tags), for as low as $5. Daily discounts based on tag color translate to 50% off and reduced to 99¢. The paid bilingual staff is professional and helpful. Odds are youll leave happy, and make plans to return - as Ive been doing for 5 years. Key features: • Senior discount on Tuesdays • 30 - 50% off coupon for buying $50+ • Open late - Until 9PM (6PM Sunday) • Ample well-lighted parking • Next to popular stores & restaurants • Full-time profession on sight security

I have been shopping at this store for about a year, and in the begining I found alot of very good deals, but then I started to notice that every week when the "color tag sale" changed the employees would start pulling all the clothes with that color of the week, off the racks and would take them to the back and change the tag to a different color, so basically every week they do this and I have not found any thing good or worth spending money on!!!!! I used to love to go in because I knew I would walk out with a bag full of great deals, but not any more!!! I guess if this "secret they have" was to get out, they would lose alot of customers!!!

Rather expensive thrift store. The color tags that are on sale that day are really hard to find, if theyre changing them in the back or if someone comes in as soon as they open to snag them all up I have no idea, but theyre rare enough that I only pop in here to check out the categories they dont price high. Dont expect any deals here. This place gets a lot of traffic so anything good tends to get snapped up rather quick. I typically walk out with one to three things, as opposed to other TS where I leave with a big bag of awesome.

Refused to let my 8 year old daughter use the restroom because some customers in the past have left it a mess. If I have to leave in the middle of trying on clothes to find a bathroom, Im not coming back to continue shopping. I left a full cart of clothes we were intending on buying right there and walked out. There are plenty of other places with great prices on used clothes. The Salvation Army in Garland is always great prices, good selection and friendly.

I really like this place. Its a hit or miss type of place depending on what youre looking for. But usually when that hit finally comes you get great stuff! The staff is really friendly. I would recommend going on a weekday in the afternoon if youre off. It can get crowded. Sometimes there can be a lot of kids running around but staff tries there best to make announcements about it.

Texas Thrift Store is a rip off, they scam you with sales. They have a sale and tell you things will be half price and yet they put things in the back as not to sell them at half price. This is False Advertisement. I believe they violate Texas and Federal charity laws when they do this and I am looking into this aspect to see if they did and be shut down. The manager was rude.

This store must be one for the hunter to find a bargain even at its MLK Day "everything half off" and we were overcharged on movies and books giving us "regular" pricing...over heard staff laughing while gossiping about an elderly customer lifting dirty pants from some bucket the store uses, so sorry person- were probably the most bothered from what occurred.. Priced WAAYY too high for a thrift store. I even saw a stained white blouse for $8 so its on part with most goodwills. I will say you can probably ly find a nice pair of jeans for $7- $8 if you look hard enough but keep in mind they do not price things by brand, I saw a lot of Charlotte ruse clothes in there way overpriced for a cheap mall store brand.

Went there for the first time yesterday. Store was VERY busy. Cashier said with school just out, they have been inundated with unsupervised kids running amok! They certainly were when I was there. Found one item. Not a lot of what I needed, but will try it again.
