My review about our recent dog trainer. His page is called Fort Worth Dog Pod My husband and I hired Brian as our dog trainer after meeting him at Petco (in Presidio Junction) a few weeks ago. We quickly set up an appointment to do a meet & greet and then a puppy play date a few days after at his home. The following week, we had our first (and last) training session inside of Petco with Brian. It started out fine and it was just us and another dog. Brian was training another trainer named Katie who was graduating that night so we did almost the entire appointment with her which I was fine with. Brian took the other dog and his family out into the store to do a little one-on-one work. After the class ended, my husband, dog, and I were all still in the training ring talking with Katie. Brian enters the ring and takes Diesel from me and begins to signal Diesel to sit. Diesel would not sit. Frustrated, Brian starts pulling very aggressively on Diesels leash/collar in the backward motion to get him to sit. Still nothing. Finally after 5 or 6 very hard yanks, Diesel yelps and I step in. Getting extremely uncomfortable, I explain to Brian in a very calm manner that Diesel is not an expert at sitting and is pretty new at that trick. I explain that he has been training for a solid hour and hes exhausted. (he was passed out on the floor towards the end of our training session). I told him that Diesel looks completely terrified and probably doesnt even know what he wants. Brian has Diesel cornered at this point and is turning around talking to me about how hes seen Diesel sit before so he obviously knows how and all this stuff about his "positive punishment" technique. Brian isnt backing down so I call it quits and he finally releases Diesel. Infuriated, we left the store. At 1:38AM that night/morning, Brian begins texting pictures, videos, and a long message about my "apprehension to techniques that tend to be less desirable to the mainstream". I text him back the next morning (at 9:12 AM) and said, "Ill watch the videos later but just for future reference, 1:38AM is definitely not an acceptable time to send text messages." His response, "What time is best for you?" No apology or explanation was given. I conveniently received an email survey from Petco the next day which I gladly filled out. It was supposed to be about merchandise but I tweaked it. A few days later, (I needed some time to talk it over with my husband and friends to make sure we weren’t crazy), I called the manager of the store (Bill) and explained everything. He apologized profusely and understood as well as supported our decision. He said Brian is aggressive with both his dogs and his clients and he would take care of everything. I immediately texted Brian (before Bill could get to him) and said, "My husband and I have talked and weve decided to withdraw Diesel from your training. Thank you for your time." His response, "Come in anytime to get a refund (insert clapping hand emoji)". Bottom line, Brian is beyond unprofessional and uses an aggressive technique with his dogs and his clients.

I went here about a week ago to get good for my Schnoodle. I was at the Petco in Watauga, where I have fequented for years, but was constantly met with the food I needed not being in stock, unknowledgable staff and poor customer servive. I decided to give the Presido location a try and was very plesantly surprised. I called ahead and spoke with Bill, the manager and he assured me that they did not have any issues keeping the food I needed on stock. He was knowledgeable of the brand of food as well as my dogs breed. When I arrived at the store it was clean, well merchandised, and brightly lit. I was greeted by friendly employees. Sharonville (I think that was her name) was helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. I selected a 4lb bag of Merrick Grain Free priced at $19.99, 1 bag of Merrick Grain Free Treats priced at 7.99, 1 can of Merrick Grain Free priced at 2.99. I did not have any rewards points available however when I got to checkout she was able to bring my bill down to just under $12.00 bucks. She had a coupon book that took 1/2 off the bag of food, another coupon reduced the price of the treats and she threw in the can of food for me too try because I was on the fence about it. Bravo to the Petco team at Presidio. You have made a loyal customer out of me and I will definitely be back.

Id give them a zero if it was an option. I have been to this Petco 2 times. The 1st time was a slow day so I figured that the employees were just playing catch up with tasks. Haha.. they just watched me walk around and didnt even acknowledge my presence. Ehh.. whatever. Theyre busy! Went back in on a more busy Saturday and employees are still lacking customer service skills. I had to search for the incredibly rude guy that was cleaning fish tanks to tell him about the ill reptiles that were displayed. Lets just say that the employees here need some training and people skills.

Over all I have always loved petco but the staff at this location is absolutely amazing. Even when an angry customer came in and made a scene they (Brittney and Cat) handled the situation very well. This petco location is by far my favorite pet store in DFW. They take great care of all their animals! I bought a bearded dragon here and he is a happy healthy animal. They always feed their animals the best food and are given the best care. I would highly recommend this petco to anyone out looking for a good pet store.

Doesnt even deserve one star...... The man (BRIAN) Helping me was so awfully mean and treated me horribly for not knowing EVERY single detail about my dog. Then upon check he told me the sweater I was getting wouldnt fit MY dog. Insisted on knowing his weight to prove I was buying the wrong size. This was the worst service and utmost disrespect I have ever gotten in a store. I will never be returning here, you couldnt pay me too..

I love shopping so much that everyone knows me. I bought an iguana there and it had a little issue I called the store and they took it to the vet the very next day. Ive had nothing but her experiences with the employees and love talking to everyone when I go in

For some reason every time I come here Brian manages to say some condescending smartass comment in a simple retail transaction where I dont say anything out of the ordinary. Sorry I interrupted your iPad playing time that you had up on the register.

I love this store! The employees are friendly and very helpful and there is a good selection of items available. Brian the trainer is amazing and so helpful I would definitely recommend this location if youre in the area.

Im getting cats food there. Sometimes they lack particular varieties, and were out of worm medicine I was trying to get. But people there are always helpful and very friendly, I enjoy interacting with them!

I love this location. The manager is very nice and helpful. The cashiers are friendly as well! They are the only place where I can seem to buy one of the healthy brands I feed my cat!!
