I normally dont do this, but Im pretty insulted. My boyfriend wanted to get his dog bathed. No trim, nothing fancy. He called Friday, and left a message around 3pm. They are open until 7, but he received no call back that day. Saturday morning, he called as soon as they were open, also no answer. He tried again 20 minutes later, still no answer. Finally, we just got in the car and drove over. The two women behind the counter were pretty unhelpful. It took them forever to locate the dogs breed in the system for a price quote. When they finally found it, they said there were no appointments available that day. Instead of letting us book an appointment for Sunday right then and there, they told us to call back Sunday morning and schedule it then. My boyfriend called Sunday morning and made the appointment. When he arrived at the scheduled time, he was informed there was no record of his appointment. They apologized and offered to reschedule for Tuesday. He said he would get back to them. At this point, well probably just go to PetSmart. They at least call you back and remember you made an appointment. I understand being busy, and that there can be mix-ups. We were simply extremely disappointed in trying to support an Oak Cliff business, and finding it impossible.

I have been using this groomer for over a year now and have had no issues up until this point. Since I have been using them for so long I did not take him out of his carrier. Once I got home I realized they did not cut him just shaved his belly and a few areas they said were matted (I know they were not because I brush him due to the amount of hair he has.) I called and spoke with the receptionist and explained the issue. I made another appointment for the following weekend. when I showed up for my 10am appointment I was told my appointment was the previous day. I explained that I was out of town and would not have made an appointment for that day and that I have been coming to this location for over a year and all my appointments have been on Sunday. That it must have been entered into the computer incorrectly. The girl rolled her eyes and told me the only option was to leave my cat there and he would be ready around 4. I asked if I could bring him back so he would not have to sit in his cage for hours. The lady told me no that was the only way and turned and walked away! Needless to say I didnt leave him. It makes me wonder how my cat is being treated while he is there.

EDITED- FROM 4 STARS TO 2 In my personal opinion, I want to give Oak Clips more stars but I just cant. From a friendless, personality perspective, store cleanliness, I love the folks at Oak Clips. My hesitation comes in with the quality of the trims that I consistently get. Maybe Australian Shepherds are difficult to groom, but after multiple times they just are inconsistent with quality and choppy cuts. Its not to say they are bad, they arent. Im sure for the majority of short haired dogs, they do a great job. But if you have a breed with a specific look or coat, the results could be...questionable. It probably is just me, and this is just my opinion but I wont be able to take my dog back based on the previous multiple attempts i have given them.

I think its a great place. Hey, I am not getting my dog for some sort of competition or beauty contest and he definitely looks 10000 times better after the cut! They got us in the same day I called (on a weekend!), did a great cut for my shih Tzu, trimmed his nails, bathed him, put a cute scarf on him. I was running about 30 min late to pick him up on a Saturday night and was the last one to get him and they were all cool about it, never rolled their eyes or gave me attitude. Definitely come back!

They were able to squeeze me in before Thanksgiving which I was super grateful for. However, the grooming itself was awful. It was completely uneven all over. His underside looks like it wasnt even cut at all and there are little bald spots in random places. Totally rushed job. I even heard the receptionist say "Yeah, we are trying to break our record of how many dogs we can do before thanksgiving." Maybe you should focus on the quality, not the quantity. Will not be back.

I was extremely disappointed with the services provided. I asked that Bentley be cut leaving an inch or two on his coat. When I picked him up he has been shaved down to where you could see his skin. There were clip marks left in numerous places as well. And to make matters worse he came home with fleas. Needless to say I wont use them again. I"ll go back to Bishop Arts Dog Grooming and pay the extra money to have him done professionally.

Horrible! I took my Yorkie in to get groomed. I even showed them a picture of how I wanted her haircut they said they would do it. When I picked her up the haircut was nothing like I asked, they cut her hair as if she was a boy, and even put a blue bandana on her. The worker said she was sorry they didnt realize my baby was a girl! like seriously how do you not know a female dog from a male dog. Never going there again!

Oak Clips is awesome! I was in town from Houston and looking for a place to groom my miniature schnauzer, Romo. The people were very friendly and listened to instruction about the cut I wanted. When I arrived to pick him up he looked fabulously and meticulously groomed! Very pleased with the service and the price. We will definitely visit again! Thank you for a positive experience! This place is TERRIBLE! They cut my dog on his thigh, huge deep cut, had to take him to the vet to get it taken care of. Thr owner did not want to own up to their mistake and stated "accidents happen" and hung up on us. They do not care for the pets and are only in it to take your money. Find somewhere else to take your pet if you truly care for them! Read all reviews here they are BAD!

MY DOGS HAVE BEEN THERE MORE THEN 3 TIMES. FIRST MISTAKE, ok it happens! BUT OVER AND OVER IS UNEXCEPTIONABLE MY DOGS DONT EVEN LOOK LIKE THE ARE SUPPOSE TOO! HOW MANY TIMES DOES IT TAKE. I will NOT be taking my dogs there until the get groomers that know WHAT THEY ARE DOING! I FEEL SCAMMED! They take you money before they bring yours dogs out and then its too late!!!

I have no problem with the grooming job they did on my dogs. What I have a problem with is that after two visits, my dogs, who normally love to be groomed, were nervous and didnt want to stay, which makes me wonder how they were being treated while they were there.

Nice folks but did a terrible job on my Australian Shepherd. Terrible. I just cant say that word enough. We took her in for a trim and she no longer has her Aussie coat. Might be great for small dogs or dogs that dont have a definitive breed style.
