What a waste of time! We were in Bassett after being to nearly every furniture company in the metroplex to find the perfect sectional for our new house. We fell in love with their Sutton sectional. The model on the floor was listed for $4,199. It was about a grand more then we were seeing at other stores, but it was comfortable. We wanted to go back to some of other stores to compare our new front runner against what we had seen elsewhere. We got the price of what the sectional would cost with the fabric that we liked. Before we left, Jesse Huerta (our salesperson) let us know that this next Saturday they couch would be 30% off! So we did the math in our head and said out loud that it would be around $3k? Jesse nodded in agreement. We were very excited because we found a couch that was exactly what we were looking for. We came back the next day after we got a chance to see the other couches. Nothing compared to the Sutton. Jesse was not in. A new salesperson who spoke broken English waited on us. We went through a couple colors to make sure that we picked the color that would go best. This was an ordeal as most of the fabric choices look like they have been in the catalog for about 40 years. After nearly 2 hours of finding bigger samples compare at and looking at them throughout the store (since the lighting is terrible in there) we found the perfect color. Our sales associate came back with the final quote. She told us $5,100! We were shocked! How does the price go up $2k by changing the cloth to a different cloth. She then went through to explain that the number that we had seen ($4,199) was a 25% off price. The sale next weekend would just be another 5% off of that. Not 30% off of the price as Jesse had lead us to believe. Suffice it to say, we felt duped. We told him our budget and we had no business looking at a $7k sectional (My fiance and I collectively make well into the 6 figures). You can get much better products for much less money in the metroplex. Jesse pulled a classic sleezy sales move and keeps the negative salesperson stereotypes alive and well. Do not waste your time or money with Bassett.

the quality of the product is good, coupled with wide range of selections and customization options. The only area where service was lacking was on the delivery front in terms of scheduling. the delivery company is more than vocal about their scheduling saying they only deliver on mondays, wednesdays and fridays for a given locality. if we try to contact them about any change in schedule, the experience ends up as a sour taste! apart from that, the quality of the product, the salesmen/women and the delivery guys who actually deliver the product home are really good!

We have been working on a major renovation, so have been furniture shopping at many places, of varying price ranges, locally and online. Im taking the time to comment because I was really impressed with this store. The product selection was great! I had been looking for 3 final pieces, and was able to get all 3 in 45 minutes. They have a great clearance section, so one of the 3 was even on clearance. And when I realized I had made a mistake on one of the items, their customer service was outstanding. This was a really great customer experience!

They will not Honor the 30 day price guarantee. We recently purchased a dinning table from this store and the upon purchase they said they had a 30 day price guarantee. If the item goes on sale after the purchase they would match the price no problem. Well I received an mail advertising a lower price, but when we called to match the price they said we had to be in the store on the day of the sale. No mention of that when we bought the item so just be aware of the fine print. I will not be doing that again.

The McEwen location is much bigger than the McKinney location and has a lot more variety to choose from. When you go there, look for Jeanette, she is SHARP! She knows her stuff and she will go above and beyond to make you a happy customer. I am seriously Impressed with her. You know when you see someone and you think to yourself "This person is the real deal", thats her! No pretense, no pushy sales, only a great person helping you with your needs. And, shes fun. Highly recommend her.

Rachel went above and beyond to find chairs when the ones I ordered were no longer available. Mike provided delivery when the items were not in the location as expected. Quality of furniture is so much better than the furniture stores where the sales people follow you around like hawks. No pushy sales tactics and great furniture.

We ordered the Beckham Sectional , when it arrived it was 4 inches more narrow and 2 inches too short. Camille Stevens/sales person/designer said this was within industry standard. I am so disappointed.
