I would definitely give this place no stars if I could. I never do reviews but I had to do it for this place. I took my pitbull there this morning to get a bath, flea dipped, his nails trimmed, & ears cleaned. I dropped him off. Was back within the hour & when I went to get in from the back he wouldnt come out of the cage. He was so scared. Hes usually excited to see me & he wouldnt even come out of the cage. Finally I got him out. He was still wet on his head & when I asked they said he wouldnt let them do his head. So I said okay. But he was covered in hair. They didnt even brush him out or anything. So I was gonna leave it alone until I got home & noticed that his back nail is completely gone. Even further than the quick. But they left it hanging there. & they didnt trim any of his nails. Plus, my baby has a paw deformity & he was limping alot when he came home. He wouldnt even walk on it. & he wasnt like that before I dropped him off. Im so disappointed in this place. My baby is in pain now & I have to take him to a vet for them to completely cut off that back nail. Never going back except to get a refund.

I took my dog here to get shaved around 930am on a Saturday. I called around 1pm and my dog still wasnt ready. I called again around 4pm and I was told that he would be ready closer to 530. They had never taken this long with him so I sensed something was wrong. When I finally received a call for pick up at 530pm I asked the guy on the phone if my puppy was ok and I was told "yes he is fine." When I arrived they told me he had a small cut on his leg and that he would give me a discount of $30. When they brought my dog out he was so scared. I looked at his leg and he had an almost 2 inch cut on his back leg. There were drops of his blood on my shirt from carrying him. It took my dog almost 2 weeks to interact with us. He was terrified of people and barley wanted to leave his crate. This place may be less expensive that other places but they really hurt my 8lb dog.

The owner cut the top of my dogs tail off and wouldnt give me a refund. She told me it was just a scratch but it wasnt. The top was all bloody. I had to take her to the vet and he gave her a penicillin shot. I went the next day for a refund and she said "why did you take her to the vet, I didnt cut the bone or it wouldnt have stopped bleeding!" Are you serious? They gave me my money back but no apology, nothing. The vet said keep fingers crossed because if it doesnt heal, he would have to cut down her tail bone and everything. My dog is a little shih tzu. She said she tried to bite her but I figure that if somebody cut off her tail and she is in excruciating pain and she keeps trying to groom her, of course the dog wont want her to keep grooming her. My dog is sweet and loves people. I cried for two days. Dont go here.

I used to work there!!!!!!!!! They hit dogs with the metal brushes. They also keep the dryers on the dogs for too long. They are from another country and dont see animals the way we do. That make fun of owners when they get all emotional about them. Yes they have made cuts, hit, and they dont kill all the ticks and fleas as should be. You take you dog there it wil come home with fleas, ticks, or something else. The dip they use is not powerful enough and it doesnt kill all of them. Its really messed up. This is the last place Id take my animals. They will on certain days do 25 or so poodles and are just rough house them to get done. Yes i told the law. Yes i told them off. And I quit because of it! Beware, they act nice. But behind closed doors theyll strike your dog without thought!!!

Omg THANK YOU soo much for posting your bad experiences with this place. I will never take my chorky to this horrible business based on the ratings. I am soo glad I read the reviews. The owner wouldnt like it if his barber cut him all up so he should have a better understanding of what customer service means. Sounds like this groomer is there just to make a buck and takes advantage that our furry friends cant speak. If my chorky acted a certain way when pulling up I would leave the place. Dogs are not dumb. I am soo sorry for the people who had bad experiences here but thank you soo very much for posting your experience so my puppy doesnt have to go through mistreatment. We will stick to pets Mart. They are costly but great with baby .

Aweful service..might as well as be name...Fast , sloppy and we dont care......my Boxers nails were clipped for $6 and left cracked and chipped. They wanted to charge $3 extra to file them out..Man who claimed he was the Owner said we do 55 dogs a day so I should go elsewhere from now on if I didnt like it. He was very rude and not professional.He argued that 55 dogs a day dont lie then jumped into his car and drove away esp after I asked for his name...a woman inside gave me back the $6 to get rid of me when I asked for a business card . It was an aweful experience with horrible customer service. ..

Worst place ever they have no idea what theyre doing. I took my two dogs in and one was old and one was a younger but mature and the main man grabbed her by my her lease and yanked her and was trying to touch her back end and my dog was frightened and they said they couldnt take her. They suggested I get a tranquilizer then bring her back!? Are you kidding me how are these guys still in service ? If they wouldve been gentle my dog wouldve calmed down but they kept yanking her. Calling animal protection on them they need to be evaluated. Keep your dogs away from this place!!!?

I give ZERO stars. I have taken my dog there and been lucky every time until today. I specifically said DO NOT SHAVE HER BEARD!!!!! Well, they did!!! When I said something about it the girl went in the back and said something in their language. You could hear them laughing in the back!! It seems like they do what they want. I asked them just to shave the top of her coat and they shaved her all over. I will NEVER go back!!!! The owner wouldnt even return my calls when I got home to complain!! What horrible people do this stuff!!!! I had to give one star to make this post!!

The lack of communication here is upsetting!!! Make sure to CONFIRM your appointment. I have attempted to make two separate appointments and was told over the phone to just make it in before 12 oclock both times. I called to make sure they would take my dog and was told no. As I tried to explain what I was told over the phone, the woman cut me off and said "sorry we are too busy to take you without an appointment". I definatly will not be doing business with The Dog House ever again.
