This computer store is the most horrible place that I have ever experienced for fixing a minor problem in a laptop. DO NOT EVER TRUST THIS STORE AND DO NOT RISK FIXING YOUR COMPUTER THERE; THEY ONLY GREEDILY STEAL YOUR MONEY AS MUCH AS THEY CAN AND DO NOT DO ANYTHING FOR YOU. My friend informed me of a problem that he had with the manager of this store. At first, my friend had put his laptop in this store for a problem in the webcam of the computer; however, the manager had damaged the monitor and asked my friend to pay him an extra 160$ to fix that as well whereas there was no problem with the monitor when the computer was checked in. The manager had come up with another greedy offer to exchange my friends nice laptop with a crappy laptop, which never happened after my interference in this case. Also, the manager reduced the charge for fixing the monitor from 160$ to 80$ after I talked to him for an hour. I am pretty sure that there was no problem in the monitor and he had only cut a small wire in the back of the monitor and claimed a lot of money to fix it. Do not trust this store at all. Also, PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THE CONTRACT YOU SIGN THERE; BY SIGNING THAT CONTRACT, YOU WAIVE ALL YOUR RIGHTS TO COMPLAIN FOR ANY PROBLEM AND DAMAGE THAT OCCURS IN THE STORE BY THE MANAGER OR TECHNICIAN OF THAT STORE. Hard to believe! Right? Read the contract yourself before signing and you get what I mean here. Consequently, if you do not want to add another major problem to the existing minor problem that you laptop has now, DO NOT TAKE IT THERE AT ALL. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Recently my computer stopped working and i took to it best buy and they told me that it will take 2-3 weeks to fix it but this was my work computer and i need to fix it ASAP.I also try few other computer store but no one was willing to fix my computer same day or in few days.every one gave me 1 week time.I asked one of my friend if he know any body who can fix computer quick as possible , so he told me about sam computers.i took my computer there and there i met the owner and i asked him if they can fix my computer quick as possible.right away he asked his tech to see whats wrong with my computer.tech check my computer and told me that computer has software problem and he can fix it in 3-4 hrs.That was really surprise to me that other stores told me that earliest that they can fix my computer is in one week.the owner of who is very nice person and very helpful asked me to come after 3 hrs and my computer will be ready.after 3 hrs i came and my computers was ready.i was so happy to see my computer working and they charge me only $75 which was very reasonable price for that kind of service.i told them you just made a permanent customer and in future if i will have any problem regarding computer i will come to sam computers and will definitely recommend sam computers to my family and friends. as they are very honest and professional and offer very quick service.

STAY AWAY for your own good. There are very unprofessional, and the charges are exorbitant. The hinges that connect the motherboard/keyboard to the screen came off for my laptop. The wires were still connected, my laptop was 2 yrs old and was in working condition despite the loose connection. I paid them $200 for that, took my laptop to my office which is just 10 min walk from their location, turned on the power, and found a HUGE CRACK ON MY SCREEN. Yes, they fixed the hinges and broke my pcs screen. I cursed myself for not having checked it there in front of them. I immediately returned to their shop, they denied that it was caused by them (though I could easily sense they knew what they actually did to my pc) and asked me to pay $300 to fix my laptop screen. Very unprofessional. I hate them, and would not recommend them to anyone. They are robbing in broad daylight. Dont take any chance with them if you really care about your device.

I really needed a DVI cable so I bought one here asap. It worked...then I noticed the screen turns off for a couple seconds every now and then. I also discover the screen turns off when I plug in and out my laptop. I suspected it was the crappy overpriced cable from this place so I ordered one off Amazon. As I expected with the Amazon cable the screen doesnt turn off for a couple of seconds when I plug in/out my laptop power cable. I thought I was imagining it so I tried the cable from Sam Computer again...the screen problem came back. Id give 0/5 if possible. I overpaid for something that doesnt work correctly. Its a DVI cable...how do you screw that up.

Last year I came in wondering why my internet kept cutting in and out. He immediately claimed it was a windows issue. Knowing that it wasnt, I asked him to check the drivers for me and he opened them saying no everything is fine. The thing is he only opened the list but never checked to see if there was an update needed because he assumed I knew nothing about computers. After i pointed out he did not check if the drivers needed an update he finally clicked it and sure enough there was a driver update. This guy is literally just trying to rip you off. Scroll through the reviews, there are multiple people saying this store is bad business.

This guy is awesome! As a CS major having a working computer is my livelihood, therefore when my Macbook broke down I thought I was done for. Ive had experience dealing with Apple and authorized retailers when it comes to repairs and I knew it would take weeks for them to get it running. I took a chance going with this guy and was not disappointed. He immediately knew what the problem could be and even had the parts to fix it. Left my dead laptop there and picked it up good as new 2 hours later. The ordeal was a little more expensive than I expected but its the fastest service Ive ever had.

I had the best experience at Sams Computers. I came in with my macbook that wouldnt turn on anymore and they backed up all of my photos, music, documents, everything onto an external hardrive for me, saving everything; Then they replaced my hardrive for cheaper than Apple would have and were in constant contact with me, texting and calling. They were super helpful and happy to explain anything and everything to me including how to get all my info back onto my desktop. An employee even came in on his day-off to work on my macbook in order to have it done quickly so I could get it back ASAP.

the most terrible place ever, absolutely their rate must be zero, I gave them my laptop to fix only camera, they broken my LCD and cannot fix my camera properly. after 3 weeks they charged me 162$ absolutely for nothing. I have plan to report them to "Federal Trade Commission" because they broken my screen and they did not accept it. Actually I pay 162$ for experience to consult with many people before going to do something. This is the first time that I write review for stores to warn other UT students about this place. Please do not go there even for spending 1$.
