This store really disappointed me. I went in to find a simple part and the staff was helpful and kind, but when the part did not work with my computer, the store was very rude to me about returning it. Without asking me a single question about my computer except my OS, the man working assumed he knew the problem. As someone who knows a thing or two about computers myself, I informed him that his explanation was incorrect in this one case, he proceeded to passive aggressively say that obviously I was right and he was an idiot (something I was not trying to say in any way) and not so passive aggressively tell me that he never f***ing wanted me to come into his store again. Shortly after that he calmed down (slightly) but continued his passive aggression. I understand he was probably having a bad day and that he deals with idiot customers all the time, but even if I was wrong (which I was not in this case) it was no excuse for the poor service and anger I saw out of him today. This store has lost a customer for life (which works since I was apparently banned anyway).

Saw a review below, from a former employee, accusing the owner of unfair treatment of minorities and people of other nationalities. Let me provide some insight, as a current employee. I am an immigrant from a Muslim majority country and he has treated me with nothing but fairness and integrity. In return, I havent missed a day, unlike the former employee, Andrew Simmons, who literally left the store unattended because he didnt feel good. As far as overpriced goes, the owners profit margin is at most 15%. Of course youll find lower prices in places with lower overhead cost. We rarely charge anything to diagnose the problem on the spot, unless we fix the problem while diagnosing it and even then we usually charge the minimum bench fee of $20.

I came here to have my wifi antenna replaced in my laptop. The man with the very yapping dog informed me that he would remove my screen, replace the cable, and all would be well...it would just take a day or two. Not only does my computer screen constantly POP OFF every time I open my laptop, but the cable works maybe 90% of the time if Im lucky. I keep having to restart my computer to have Internet access. And it took almost 2 weeks for him to get back to me!! When I called 1 week after dropping it off, I was told my computer was disassembled but was being worked on. I currently have electrical tape holding my screen in place. Please DO NOT GO HERE!

Wish I could give zero stars. As a former employee, I can say without a doubt that all of the items in the store are overpriced for the benefit of the owner. Speaking of said owner, whom happens to be a preacher, I noticed in my time working there he was extremely biased towards people of other nationalities, and treated them according to his own agenda. Not to mention providing some of his own personal customers with better, and sometimes free, service than the other customers. Over all, this store is a joke, and so is the manager. A ill-tempered elderly pastor that has no business running a computer repair store.

Had a mechanical problem with my laptops monitor screen that wouldnt allow me to open the laptop without prying the back of the monitor away from the screen. Dropped it off at CPU and they had it fixed much faster than it would have taken to ship the computer back to ASUS and have them fix it, and at a much lower rate no doubt. The price was VERY reasonable considering what computer repair shops might try to charge. Highly recommend, staff seemed very knowledgeable, at least give them a try.

I went in today concerned about power supply for a very proprietary HP computer due to information from the HP website. They looked at it and offered to check other systems as power supply seemed to be working. Found one RAM stick was the problem and replaced on the spot. Great experience from both gentlemen in the store. Thanks for getting me up and running in less than an hour.

I have enjoyed working with the staff and especially the owner for many, many years. Ive always respected his knowledge and ability to repair anything for a very fair price. Many friends and relatives have also gone to CPU for assistance and all have been very complimentary of his abilities to repair even the toughest of problems and at a reasonable price.

Went there looking for a VGA-to-USB adapter, the teenage customer service representative was absolutely no help. In fact, he took it upon to pass judgement on why anyone would need such a device. Not his call to make, he should have been more concerned with helping the customer than passing judgement!

Asked several people if they carried laptop fuses. A common 2 amp 32volt smd fuse and they didnt even know what I was talking about!? I hope they dont repair computers there if they dont even know what a surface mount fuse is lol. These guys are a joke.

Overall service was good. Ordered a part with a tad bit of difficulty, but was pleased with the part when I received it. Didnt take too long for it to arrive either. Beats ordering things online, which may not always be the best thing.

They are open from 10-12 on Saturday. Not 10-4 like the website says. Would have went there 30 minutes earlier if I had known. Instead, I had to buy my parts elsewhere.

It use to be the best place to go in lubbock for computer parts and prices. Now the shop is less than half the size and prices are not always the best.
