ABSOLUTELY the worst place in town! I went today to pick up my computer after they had it for TWO months! Not once in the last two months have they ever called me to give me an update. The first week it was there they diagnosed it, and said that the motherboard had to be replaced. Week 2 they told me that they had ordered the part and that it should be ready by the end of Week 3. End of Week 3 still no part, "its coming from overseas is why it is taking so long." Week 4 "oh sorry its the wrong part," they did not call to tell me that I had to call them. This went on for several more weeks. Two weeks ago I called and they had order the part, and had a confirmation of delivery thru their PAYPAL account. Supposedly it was shipping USPS priority mail, which was another lie, because it DOES NOT take the post office 2 weeks to deliver priority mail. I asked why they had not called the post office to see what the deal was, "oh I dont know!" I finally lost my cool and told them to put back together my laptop and that I was picking it up and wanted my money back! The guy that runs this place is an idiot! How can you run a business like this!!! GEEZ! SO WHATEVER YOU DO...DO NOT TAKE YOUR PC TO AKRAM DISCOUNT COMPUTER. I am putting the word out!

My computer crashed! I called Akram to see if they could save my data from back-ups because although I did perform back-ups I never learned how to use them. The staff were excellent. They sold me a refurbished tower at a great price and moved all my data from the dead unit to the new one. Recently the unit said my Windows license had expired and I needed to renew. I discovered the unit had Windows PRO on it. I knew that version wasnt mine, so I called Akram. They were great. They explained the PRO version had been on the refurbished unit so I had been upgraded when they moved the data over. I dropped the unit off for a bit, they did the license renewal for no charge and I will be a faithful Akram customer for life. They are patient and take the time to explain how to operate technology to me, a technologically challenged person. I would recommend their service and products to everyone.

This place is horrible for customer service in MANY ways. they ripped me off of an "OS" repair since my windows was not booting and they could not get past the fact that I was dual booting Ubuntu as well. So I spent 5 minutes trying to have them understand that they were being paid to fix my windows OS. By luck they made my computer load windows once more for me to back up my files and bring it to a proper computer repair store (the problem happened again the next day and they wanted to charge me again) DO NOT EVER GO HERE. they will try and tell you that their technicians are great and that they later went off to NASA and Google but obviously he only talent in computers went with them

Took in my Moms computer because it would not charge the battery. They looked at it quickly and gave me a reasonable estimate. I picked it up after a couple of days and it works great. I am very happy with the service and professionalism. The owner was nice and helpful I will use his services again.

When my laptop kept shutting down I took it to Akram Computers. They diagnosed the problem as a bad cooling fan. Since picking it up from repair I have had no problems. I highly recommend their service. It is precise and correct repairs at an affordable rate.

Very impressed with Akram Computers. My laptop broke Thursday and I got it back by the next Tuesday. They immediately looked at it and called me a few times to update me on the progress. Ill never take my computer anywhere else!
