*** Update Finally made it down South to go here. And boy and Im glad I did. I mean donuts are all the same arent they, absolutely not and K C Donut is one that will show you its different. There is something for everyone. The donut holes here are fluffily loveable balls of dough they are the lightest things ever and super tasty. The cinnamon roll here is absolutely delicious. Its huge too! The fritter is also amazing. I also got a croissant sandwich as well and it was amazing too! The owner? lady was super nice! She was patient and they have such a great selection of items that I wish I lived closer or they opened one up north near me! Great and delicious all around. The price is fantastic too! Love it! Ive never actually been to the location, but my coworker brought me items from here for breakfast. I didnt give it a 5 star because I dont know how the store experience is. The food however is delicious though. I got donut holes and those are pretty amazing, they are larger than normal ones and its very fluffy and light. I also got the bacon donut, thats pretty amazing, the bacon is crispy and delicious, the maple icing is just a little too sweet and too thick, so I could do with less of the icing. The crossiant kolache is a genius idea. I will definitely be going soon.

The second-best part of KC Donuts is the look on peoples face when you get home, put your white cardboard box down on the table, and open it up to show whats inside. Its like the briefcase scene from Pulp Fiction, but with glaze instead of golden light. Obviously the first-best part is the donuts themselves, which are huge, fresh, delicious, and cheap enough - confection perfection. Its difficult to be at the office and eat regular grocery store donuts after having had KC Donuts; the rest just taste like Monday morning somehow, even if its already Thursday. Theres only 1 pitfall, which is that they are too popular. You might think that their unassuming location tucked away in a shopping center in mid-Brodie directly across the street from a popular chain like Shipleys would mean that theyre a "hidden gem" or something like that, but you couldnt be more wrong. Everybody around knows about them, so if you dont get there early on a weekend or at Prime Donut Time during weekdays youll probably stand in line for 10-15 minutes. Or, worst of all, your favorite kind might have run out and you will suffer such disappointment as you have rarely known outside of major sporting events or high-stakes poker games. Consider yourself warned.

Absolutely the best donuts in Austin. Especially the plain glazed, which completely melt in your mouth. Love the croissant sandwiches here also. We always get the egg and cheese which they make fresh for you (vegetarian option for the win!). Lastly, the breakfast tacos (of the potato, egg and cheese variety) are incredibly delicious, with a really unique and tasty fresh salsa! Ive been eating breakfast tacos for years - in Arkansas, Arizona, and now Texas- and I have never had any better than those at KC. All around, KC donuts is breakfast perfection! Their iced coffee is good too. Only one downside is that they usually do not have any plain glazed donuts until around 8:15 in the mornings. Ive often wanted to take donuts to my work, but I cant because I have to leave by 8:00 am. Earlier donuts please!!

The Donuts are great if there are any. I keep coming back because they are so good, but leave empty handed more than I get to enjoy them. I am not a cake donut fan. They always have cake donuts and I am not sure if that is what they love to make and over make those or if nobody ever buys them. I went today and was told I had to wait a hour to get donuts.. Why are you even open if you dont have product?? They are are always short staffed and I think they should get a bigger space. Dont get me wrong, I will be back because I am a gambling man. There is a 50% chance I will get a donut.

While the food is good the staff leaves MUCH to be desired. When you have to repeat a taco order more than 10 times and they still manage to get it wrong, bacon and sausage is not complicated, on multiple visits. Worst part is that the employee who is the problem is the owner. She is rude and unhelpful. Sucks that this places great food is ruined by her customer service. If possible I would give her negative stars.

Serving up donuts, kolaches, breakfast tacos and breakfast sandwiches on croissants, KC Donuts is South Austins favorite neighborhood spot for breakfast treats. This friendly, family owned bakery almost always has a line on weekend mornings and if you show up past 11am you wont have much to choose from. The glazed doughnuts are yeasty, soft and have just enough of a sugar coating.

Love KC Donuts! My favorite in Austin. Friendly. They seem to have enough on hand in all key varieties each day even till 9 or 10am, compared to other donut shops that are out of my favorite flavors by 9am. My favorite are their chocolate, vanilla, and maple old fashioned donuts. Large size donut, awesome quality and taste, and great price.

I wish I could rate this place with 10 stars. Hey, I can! I give this place 10 Stars! The best tasting donuts in South Austin. Im not sure what kind of magic they use to make the donuts, but I think its the love of what they do. The sweetest people to own a Mom & Pop type store. Do yourself a favor and make a trip to KC Donuts, yall!

I have been coming to K C Donuts for quite some time. They never fail. I would say their donut holes are the best in town. The glazed donut holes melt in your mouth. Their kolaches are very good also. The counter staff is excellent. Great donuts at a great price!

This is a popular local donut shop. The owners & staff are super nice and their product is really tasty. Theyre in an unremarkable strip mall. If it werent for word of mouth (and the Saturday morning line out the door), I would not have noticed them.

We love this place! Best kolaches and the softest, freshest dounut holes around. Although it seems that they may not be taking American Express anymore, and that would mean Id have to find another donut store, such a shame.

This place is great if you like kolache , as half the time they dont have a variety of doughnuts. Unless you are up for doughnut holes or cake type doughnuts will not be coming back you lost yourself a steady customer
