Im so happy to be the first official fan of SH Donuts! Theyve only been open a week but its really cute inside and the smell is incredible! All fresh baked and layed out beautifully in the glass cabinets. The owner is so nice and accomodating. Ive never been a fan of kolaches until now. I had the jalapeno, sausage and cheese kolache and couldnt believe how good it was, from the dough to the filling, perfect. I also had an apple fritter and a glazed donut. The apple fritter was perfectly cooked, not hard on the outside and not doughy on the inside, like so many. The glaze was just enough to stay on every bite, not crumble in your lap. I would have loved a few more apple chunks, but overall, one of the best apple fritters Ive had. The glazed donut was a freeby from the owner and was awesome. I finished it in three bites. Their coffee was really quite good, tasted fresh, and went perfectly with everything else. Theyre open from 5am to 5pm most days (I think.) GO THERE!!!!!!!!

After months of searching, I finally happened upon Austins best donut shop. This place is run by what I assume to be a nice family. No, Im not assuming theyre nice; that part I assume. I assume they are a family. Anyway, youll find all your favorites--from old fashion donuts to glazed to the fancy twists and bear claws. Their cinnamon twist really has got to be one of the best Ive ever had. In addition to donuts, S H has got a wide variety of savory pastries including kolaches and meaty croissant rolls. But it doesnt end there, the offer about 4 kinds of breakfast tacos. The tacos are all pre-made (not pre-fab but earlier in the day) so theyre not quite Taco Deli level of awesome (if you want Taco Deli, you should just go there already). But theyre still good! In short, this donut shop has got it all. Head there, shop local, eat well (or at least as well as you can at a donut shop).

Admittedly gave the donut shop a try because of their good reviews. I was less impressed with the shop itself. Upon arriving, I was greatly disappointed to discover there were NO meatless kolaches to choose from, contrary to the shop employee I had spoken to on the phone just minutes before. They werent out -- it wasnt even 6am. They simply dont offer any. So we settled for a few egg, potato, and cheese tacos and two donuts. The tacos appeared to have little to no cheese or egg, tasting like mashed potatoes in a tortilla. Actually not bad! But, not what we wanted or were expecting. The apple fritter was delicious, as per previous reviews. It was fresh and still warm. The chocolate iced cake donut was decent. Might give the shop another try but wed be far more inclined if they were to offer meatless kolache options.

The family that owns this place is super friendly and helpful. They are only open during morning hours so you gotta get there a while the gettins good! And oh boy is the gettin ever good. They have the best kolaches and pigs-in-a-blankets. Theres something about the dough that they use that comes out super light. And if you order their jalapeno and sausage pig-in-a-blanket it WILL be spicy--which I love. Their other pastries are delicious and sweet as well. Forget about those kolache factories that churn out bland products, and come here for the good stuff.

Great place! I love plain cake donuts and SH Donuts has some great ones! It isnt dry and it is fresh! I am a sucker for a good pigs-in-a-blanket. I prefer the normal pig or occasionally I would get a smokey pig in crescent. The crescent one is good but could be flaker. Their breakfast sandwiches are great for the value. Big and filling for less than $3. This is an amazing place for ~$5 breakfast (breakfast sandwich, a donut or two with a pig-in-a-blanket). The people are nice but parking sucks. Overall, I definitely recommend SH Donut!

Ive been around to almost every donut shop in Austin, and this is by far the most consistantly good donut shop around. I would go so far to mark them as the best in Austin. - The place is super clean - The staff is extremely friendly - The donut selection is great (Including Cake, Old Fashioned, and Fluff) - Flavors! (Chocolate, Blueberry, Orange!, Strawberry, Apple...) - Kolache Too! Tip: Go at 5:30 for the best selection of warm goodies.

So much variety! Donuts, kolaches, tacos, breakfast sandwiches, and more. Donuts were delicious, especially my favorite the apple fritter. The kolaches were just okay, nothing special. Won’t be getting the kolaches again unless I am having a serious craving. Good thing there are plenty of more things to try! All three folks working the day I went in were welcoming and friendly. Will definitely be back.

I have nothing but great things to say about this place- the food (donuts, breakfast tacos, kolaches, croissants breakfast sandwiches) is always consistent and fresh. Everyone who works here is incredibly friendly and always remember their regular customers. This place is on point. $5 min for CC and theyre open 5-1. They still have a pretty good selection even until 5 min to close.

This the best donut place in Austin!!! Ive tried pretty much all of them. I know people that would disagree, and say Kens is the best. Ive been eating Kens for years and I do love Kens AND Mrs. Js, but S&H is the best. I really like everyone that works at S&H and Kens AND Mrs. Js for that matter. Chocolate covered sour cream donuts! Breakfast sandwiches and kolaches!!

S H Donuts was a pleasant surprise on my quest for the best donut in Austin. They are located on the far east side, but well worth the drive. I went with a chocolate glazed donut and an apple fritter, but were fresh and delicious. The staff was friendly and pleasant to talk with. I look forward to many more returns to this little donut nirvana.

Donut shops are few and far between in NJ (other than Dunkin Donuts) so I stopped here on a trip to Austin. Great donuts & kolaches(sp?). Fresh, warm, light & tasty. Coffee wasnt great but the pastries were. And very good prices. Breakfast tacos were like $1.75. If I lived close by I would probably be here a few times a week.

Traditional Asian-run donut shop - flaky croissants, small and large kolaches ... With cheese, without cheese, jalapenos option ... Breakfast sandwiches, tacos, and all kinds of donuts. Plain glazed to blueberry cake.. opens early at 5, staff is always smiling, plenty of because options in the fridges.

I just recently picked up a big order for SH Donuts and they were hit at my work. Everyone really liked the way the donuts tasted. Their apple fritters were too sweet but the size and quality itself is worth getting again. Service was super friendly and quick. This is my new neighborhood donut place.

I live across the street from S&H and every morning, I can smell them making those delicious donuts fresh. If you get there early enough, try the jelly donut or a kolache. You will not be disappointed. The friendliest people own/work there and we are so happy to have them in the neighborhood.

Owners always have a smile on their faces. The store was closed but owners were in parking lot. They actually opened up and let us buy some donuts! They made my Sunday morning! Great people, great donuts, etc. My all time favorite donut shop. Stop by and try for yourself.
