I wish I could give them 5 stars but I cant. They need to streamline order taking. Both times Ive gone theyve messed up the order. The first time was due to 3 people taking our order so they charged us for 2 extra tacos then didnt give them to us. I let that one go. Second time we ordered it was one lady taking the order but she left out a kolache and we thought she would give it to us with the tacos we were waiting for and when that didnt happen we brought it to her attention and instead of delivering decent customer service she started to argue that we never ordered it and I made it clear that it was OK and I just wanted to order one and pay for it she showed me the receipt with an attitude. I just wanted another kolache and to pay for it, not an argument.

I love love LOVE the blueberry donuts! The original blueberry cake was very light and fluffy with a thin sweet glazed. The blueberry iced was amazing! It was the first time Ive ever seen a blueberry glazed donut. Its just a regular donut with a blueberry icing on top. I also tried the potato, egg, and cheese taco, Mexican style taco, and the pastor taco. All pretty solid and affordable. Two donuts, two breakfast tacos, one meat taco, and a coffee came out to about $10. I went around 10am on a Sunday morning. There was a line, but it moves really fast. The whole time I was there, there was always a line of about 5-6 people, but it moves really fast. P solid breakfast place on our way back from enchanted rock :)

I deeply hate this place I finally took the chance to try it out I went there at one I walked in cuase the door was open the last saw me come in and continues to talk to the other employe ..so I stand there for 10mins waiting for her to stop talking then when she did she was oh kitchen is close ...like why would yall not say that when first walked in I wastes my break there cuase cause of poor costumer service and they gave me attitude the whole time also the the whole time she was stuffing donuts in her mouth I would never give this place a try and I would make sure no one I know will either

The breakfast tacos tasted great and were very fairly priced... definitely better than Rudys on my way into work. I also tried out their doughnut holes and a cake doughnut, all fresh and better tasting than most I have had in Austin. The place was beginning to get busy so the staff didnt have time to answer questions for me and assumed that when I asked if the doughnut was a cherry doughnut (it was raspberry) that I was ordering it. This is a minor detail, but it is the reason I am not giving the 5th star. Great food, average service this time, but will be going back.

GREAT donuts and donut holes. Friendly service in this small restaurant that does a very large take-out business. There are about six tables for people that want to eat there. Sunday mornings are especially busy, but there is always a constant flow of people. Lines move rapidly. They also have a wide variety of breakfast tacos and a few kinds of lunch tacos. Also feature "donuts" that look like the traditional hookem horns hand gesture.

This place is really clean, which is really a good achievement for donut and taco places. A Large selection of donuts, pastries, kolaches, breakfast tacos, and drinks made to order - what more could you want on a lazy morning? All the times I have had breakfast here, my tacos were good and warm. The salsa they give with the breakfast taco is really good, so make sure you get some. Too bad the place closes so soon.

Very crappy customer service never been to a bakery that wont make a sandwich for a customer because they dont have any in display shelf .I went to another one of there locations on benwhite and they did not have what I wanted BUT they made it for me any way five stars to that location. This one should be zero stars. SORRY WRONG LOCATION should be the one at SLAUGHTER AND MANCHACA RD

I admit I came because of the Shinyribs song, and I didnt expect anything exceptional aside from the name. I was pleasantly surprised to find this place is the real deal and deserving of any and all notoriety it gets. Great tacos, great donuts, great donut tacos. Only the palace part is lacking to any degree.

Prices were right (inexpensive) and the donuts were delicious. The peanut butter bacon donut was a surprisingly tasty treat. Definitely try it. Did not, however, see any taco shaped donuts (the reason we stopped :-D) but the hook-em horns shaped donut was great, both of the kids had to have one.

Ive been coming here for over 15 years if I remember correctly...my parents used to bring me here when I was in middle school and now I pick it up on my way to work every now and then. Great stuff, donuts are great and their tacos arent my favorite in Austin but they are still quite tasty

This place is right around the corner from where I live and is my daily breakfast stop. You cant go wrong with any of their breakfast tacos at $1.50 each! But perhaps they are even better at their amazing variety of tastey donuts. Try the cake donuts. They get no better then this.

The best name for a place ever :) I frequent the Donut Taco Palace I off 290. Great breakfast tacos and donuts. What else could you ask for. The only complaint I have is they dont have t-shirts. I would totally sport a Donut Taco Palace t-shirt. I mean, who wouldnt.

Decent donut selection, breakfast tacos are great, but they sell out early. The chocolate cover items taste like garlic, so go for glazed donuts instead. Friendly staff, but they tend to bully their way through the line to help get people out quickly in the AM.

Blueberry is where its at for me this year because they do the job to perfection consistently ! Used to love chocolate but as one reviewer who must as well be a super taster noticed their chocolate is a garlic at some bites or a hint of green onion ...

I came in here with the intentions to only buy donuts. I walk out with tacos AND donuts! Both are delicous! Im not sure when it became popular to eat tacos and donuts in the same location, but honestly its actually pretty tasty. Will be coming back.

The name says it all! Get there early for the best selection. Also, a word of caution, the "donut taco" is incredibly filling. Dont order more than one. Regular tacos are great, and theyll make them to order if they dont have pre-made.

Friendly staff and great breakfast!!! Donuts always fresh and fluffy, kolaches melt in your mouth and tacos that you cant just eat one!! Kitchen open till noon and will customize your order however you like!!! Love them!!!

CHECK YOUR RECIEPT!!! This place is awesome but they systematically over charge you. It wasnt untill I got home checked my receipt that I noticed they over charged me by 6$ This is the forth time they have for this.
