I have been going to Optique for years and never think of going anywhere else! The doctor: I absolutely trust Dr. Sonsino with my ocular care/needs. She educates her patients (which is an important quality in a doctor for me) and she does so without "dumbing it down" (which is also important to me). You can tell that she stays current with optometry not because she has to but because she cares about the field and her patients. My prescriptions (I wear both contacts and glasses) have always been accurate, Ive never had to return for any adjustments or changes. Even though the business has grown over the years and she has more staff now, she still knows every aspect of her business right down to making appointments and insurance billing!! Just the other day I called and she answered the phone, you just dont find that in a lot of doctors that run a successful practice. The staff: Its so frustrating to find a great doctor but they have terrible staff….deal breaker! Or great staff and a terrible doctor….definitely a deal breaker! The Optique staff….amazing! They are professional and friendly. They have never made me feel like I need to hurry or that I am an inconvenience when I take a long time to pick out frames or if I want to pick something out then have them write down the frame information so I can think about it and come back later. They are prompt with returning calls. The facilities: Clean, great decor (stained concrete floors, metal chandelier with crystals, tufted upholstered seating), large and up to date frame selection, they have the latest and greatest in technology. I cant say enough good things about Dr. Sonsino and the staff at Optique!

My first disappointment with Optique came after booking an appointment during a lunch hour (which typically has never been a problem) and after signing in and waiting over an hour, I finally had to cancel. I understand appointments go long and especially doctors offices run late, but as a professional courtesy, I think the receptionist should let clients know on the FRONT end that the doctor is running behind and allow the client decide if they want to waste and hour+ in the waiting room for an appointment that may or may not happen. Upon cancellation the receptionists apologized profusely and said they will make note to get me in as soon as I call back with my availability. That takes us to the call back...I called back and decided I would make appointments for myself and my daughters. As a single mom who works full time, getting all these done in one day is the only way I can efficiently get things done. I then learned from the receptionist (remember, the one who said they would do their best to accommodate me)....that it was their policy to not allow families to make more than one appointment per day. Huh? She said they have had too many cancellations and that it wasted time if there were no shows and they couldnt afford to allow that to happen. So.....let me get this straight, Optique...its okay for you to waste an hour of my time, but NOT okay for you to take a chance on my family actually keeping their appointments? Well, you lost these three clients *BAM* just like that.

Optique is worth the visit! This is a place that keeps up with the technology and is knowledgeable and current with eye research. The doctors take the time to explain a condition, a product, a procedure, the pros and cons, and your options. They care about you as a patient and as a person, because they take the time to talk with you. There is no hurriedness about their manner. They truly want to know how best to serve you and take care of your eyes. Optique is easily accessible, right across from Centennial Park. The interior office is hip and cozy. There is a variety of trending eyeglasses and sunglasses. The staff is friendly. They help you select eyewear and custom-fit it for you. They also contact you personally about appointments and contacts or eyeglass deliveries. If I call in, a receptionist always answers, no answering machine. Without a doubt, it was an easy decision to make Optique my go-to for personalized, professional, and cutting edge eye care.

I just wanted to have my eyes examined before my insurance change next year. So I wasnt really in the market of getting the new glasses. The staff (young girl in early 20s) was very polite and helpful. At least she was not walking around and tried to recommend the frames. So I just roamed in the store free without any pressure. Dr. Sonsino seemed quite knowledgeable and polite. At least I felt that she paid attention to me than other O.D. doctors I saw in the past. However, I felt that the frame was a little bit overpriced. Even that, I absolutely felt that they have much better selections of than the chained stores. Most of the frames are trendy, practical, and appear durable. They showed me the clearance section (I think its $98) which I think its worth the money but it just did not have exactly the type I like.

Everyone Ive dealt with at this facility is so unfriendly to me they are borderline rude. The receptionists act like its a chore to schedule my appointments or handle my insurance. The doctor is exceptionally brief and brushes off my concerns. Everyone there is very nice to my husband, however, and gives him free things and extra rebates on his contacts and helps him pick out his glasses. Somehow, my contacts are consistently more expensive than his, despite the fact that we have the same insurance plan. I feel like Im a nice, polite person, so I dont know what Ive done to warrant such treatment. Ive been there several times, so it wasnt just that they were having a bad day when I went. Maybe if you are a handsome man or a trendier female, you will have a better experience at this place.

Doctor Sosino is direct, effective and efficient. When I had an issue with a potential infection in my eye that my primary care doctor was unable to resolve, I saw Dr Sosino and within 15 minutes she had resolved the issue, pinpointed the problem through a series of diagnostic tests, and all along the way she was telling me what she was doing, why, and what it was telling her about my issue. She was able to resolve the problem. If Dr Sosino told me the problem was X, I slept well knowing she was right and she would help me fix it. I have since moved from the area, and found myself sorely missing Dr Sosino and her thorough knowledge.

Came here on the recommendation of a friend. Frame selection was adequately diverse. Staff was helpful in selecting and ordering glasses. Went downhill from there. Was almost a month form time of ordering until glasses arrived (I bought 2 pair). The Rx in one lens was incorrect in both pair (ophthalmologists error but could have been caught earlier if the optician had check the new Rx against my current Rx). STILL have not received the re-order despite "rush". I just dont understand how Lenscrafters can produce a correctly ground lens in 1-2 hrs but this shop takes about a month. Very disappointed in overall experience.

I have been a return customer for both glasses and contact lenses and have been very happy with my service each time. The staff were always very helpful in filing my insurance for me. Although most of the frames there are high end, if you ask you will be shown a nice selection for those on a budget and treated with respect. I have to disagree with the other negative reviews and would say this store has something for everyone and they are very friendly. I have also had a old pair of glasses adjusted and pieces repaired with no problems.
