Let me start out by saying that a lot of my family work in some form or fashion in the car industry. My dad is a finance manager at one of the biggest Ford lots in Southeast Texas and has been in the car business for over 30 years and my uncle works for Manheim (car auction) and has been in the car industry for 15 years, and this is just to scratch the surface. I am obsessed with cars and am only 25, but have owned 7 cars already. I know the process and I know a good car lot when I see one. This is one of them. I have a lot of friends and family who have worked with/shopped/ or bought from this car lot and all of them agree they have a decent selection and are over priced (like all car dealerships) but not quite as bad as most. They also have clean southern owned cars on their lot which means no rust so that is good and that is why I wanted to buy from them. With ALL that being said this is my AWFUL experience with Car Hunters LLC. I was interested in purchasing a 2006 Toyota 4-runner with roughly close to 103,000 miles on it. They were asking 12,490 for it which is a decent price especially in the area, but I researched for a solid week and found 17 Toyota 4- runners with significantly less mileage and they were cheaper (as in all around 10,000-12,000) BUT, they were all out of state. NOW I understand a few of these SUVs could be from the north so there could be rust and wear involved, that this car does not have because it is from the south. Nevertheless, I felt like my offer of 11,000 out the door was extremely fair. I discussed it with my dad who does what Corey (car hunters extremely unprofessional finance manager) does for a living and he did his research and said I could ask even less, but I told him I liked the guys at this lot and that I did not want to low-ball them. This car on August 1st had been sitting on their lot for 6 weeks this would not be ok at a corporate lot, but since they are independently owned and operated I guess they have all the time in the world to sit on this car. It is now August 18th and they have still not sold this car. They have lowered the price 300 dollars... although Corey told me they couldnt get me out the door for lower than 13,490 which is extremely insulting since that is not even a penny off the asking price, which they now have lowered 300 dollars. When I told Corey my offer he told me I was crazy and stood up and started crinkling and balling up my paperwork to throw in the trash... This was so unprofessional and rude that I just told Corey we did not have a deal and walked out. I have never in my life been handled this unfairly and this disrespectfully at any car lot I have ever worked with (which has been quite a few). I have talked to many people in the car business since this happened to me because I was so shocked and they all agreed that Corey was/is just waiting for someone who does not know anything to buy this car. I was not that person so I guess this is how you get treated when you try to negotiate at this lot. I am not big on leaving reviews and I am not big on complaining because everyone has bad days and it is not fair to judge off of one single experience, but this was absolutely ridiculous/disrespectful behavior and I am writing this to tell people to beware of people like Corey in the car business.

I had a specific year and model that I wanted to purchase. I wanted a 2007 Jeep Liberty. I used the Internet to search for cars. After looking at several Jeep Libertys online, I decided that my top choice was at Car Hunters. I first want to commend Car Hunters for their website. There were thirty-four pictures of the Liberty showing the interior, exterior, and under the hood. There was also a link to click to view a free Car Fax report which was very helpful. Based on the pictures, the Car Fax, and the reasonable price, I knew that it would be the car that I would buy; if on the lot, it looked the way it was presented on the Internet. When I got to the lot, I was not disappointed. The car was in excellent condition. The paint was shiny...like new. The interior with leather seats was very clean, just like new. My husband looked under the hood and said everything looked good. We did a test drive and did not notice any problems. The sales staff was very friendly. I felt my sales person, Brian, was very honest about the car and there was no pressure to buy a car. My husband and I were left alone to make a decision about purchasing the car. I decided to purchase the car. I absolutely love my Jeep Liberty. I have had it for almost two weeks and have not encountered any problems. Even though it is a 2007, people think it is a new car because it is in excellent condition. I would definitely purchase another car from Car Hunters, if need be. I also recommend them to anyone who is looking for a quality used car.

I cant recommend them enough; buy from Car Hunters LLC! I recently purchased a 2007 4Runner and the experience was great. Brian, Mike, and Scott welcomed me in, invited me to test drive the truck, and did not pressure my wife or I at any point. Heres what I found special about Car Hunters LLC. First, their cars and trucks are CLEAN. There was no clunkers or lemons or dirty vehicles on the lot. You can tell they spend the time to find quality cars to sell at a fair price. Next, my 4Runners AC needed a recharge. Without batting an eye, they recharged it on the spot. I also mentioned that I was concerned about the two rear tires, as they need replacing soon; they cut me a check for $170 towards two tires!!! To me, thats exceptional service. Lastly, Brian was able to get me within the payment range I wanted, and got me a lower APR than two banks that I had already received pre-approval from. There was no charades or pressure, he simply queried two banks and had a response within 20 minutes. All told, this was an excellent experience. They even let me mail them my down payment check the following day! These are good guys with a great business. I would buy from them again in a heartbeat.

I tried to buy a car from them last week and we experienced nothing but the standard high pressure non-sense. Had to ask for the VIN number 3 times and upon the final time he replied with the amount I should make the cashers check out to... before he even let us test drive the car. When we finally got the VIN it has 0 service records (highly unusual) and was a prior commercial vehicle with a recall on it. After setting up multiple appointments to have a mechanic see the car he always cancelled or changed the time for some reason. When we finally went out to see the car it was "scheduled to be in an auction" and he took us on to the auction lot and wasted an hour of our time "looking" for the car. Find someone else to do business with... and if he entices you into a deal make sure you insist on getting it inspected! Because the one thing you can count on Lee for is his ability to exaggerate the good and downplay the bad. At least he is predictable in that regard. He even bragged to us about how he sold a friends car at auction after "he rolled it in a ditch" so that the car would sell before it showed up on a carfax or other report.
