The wife and I were visiting Nashville and the surrounding area, and, as we frequently do, on a whim, decided to add to our tatoo collection. While driving down the freeway, she was checking out reviews on the local tattoo shops. We kept coming back to Archangel, so we punched the address into the GPS and went by for a look around. We were greeted by J, the new guy, and after talking with him about what we wanted, and poking around the Internet for ideas, we came up with the perfect piece. J ended up doing my piece while Pabby worked on the piece for my wife. Both turned out spectacular! The artwork was exactly what we wanted, and the execution of going from stencil to skin, perfection. It is really a lot nicer to get a tattoo from an artist that is genuinely interested in creating the perfect experience, along with the perfect tattoo. We both have had work done in San Francisco, Sacramento, and Fayetteville NC, Archangel and the staff are among the best. Great atmosphere, friendly, knowledgable staff that listens, fantastic artists and a 100 health dept rating, does it get any better? It is easy to understand why this is an award winning studio. Pabby, we will be back for more!

My daughter wanted to get her ears pierced for her 10th birthday, and I was somewhat skeptical of the kids jewelry stores that most people go to. After a LOT of research, I decided to take my daughter to the professionals. I called several very reputable tattoo artists and asked for recommendations and was directed to Scooby at Archangel Tattoo Studio. I had already read some of his reviews online so this just verified his reputation in my mind. Long story short, Scooby was awesome. He was very nice and explained what he was going to do in a gentle and clear way. He used needles, not guns, and everything was very sanitary (it took 20 minutes just to sanitize the earrings in the autoclave). My daughter shed no tears and was very excited to have her ears pierced. I was very excited to know it was done by someone who probably pierces more ears (etc...) in a week than the sales person at Claires pierces in a year. Very highly recommended.

I just noticed all the excellet reviews for this joint had disappeared, so I wanted to share my opinion of them! Archangel is a very talented custom shop that specializes in every medium of tattooing you could imagine. Also, I noticed consecutive 100s on their health score and a professional but friendly attitude. I have an inkling that the other review on here is not a reflection of their work, but a disgruntled employee, so please PLEASE disreguard it. Lastly, but most importantly, the work that comes out of this gem is amazing, phenomenal, and solid as it gets!! Ive got a few full color pieces from there, and the have healed perfectly with vivid color and true lines. If you are looking to choose a shop around Nashville, Archangel is the place to be!!

Archangel Tattoo & Body Piercing is my top recommendation for piercings or tattoos. The shop is immaculate and the artists are true professionals. The owner, Jeff is officially my artist for life. He is very friendly, extremely talented, never disappoints but the best part is he listens to suggestions/ideas to come up with the perfect tattoo for you. My rib tattoo in the picture is 4 years old and still looks new. There is a reason Archangel has a 4.8/5 on Google and a 5/5 on Yelp. So, I went to archangel yesterday for my first tattoo. I had to wait for everything to be drawn and set up, but I certainly didnt mind because I was a walk in. I was pleased that they could even get me in that day. My artist took my ideas and drew up an image that I absolutely loved. He was great and friendly and so was everyone else that worked there. I wouldve tipped my guy if I wasnt so damn broke. Anyway, the service was great, I didnt break the bank, and Id recommend anyone to go and get his/her tattoo at Archangel. I know I will certainly be back for more.

The artists at Archangel are experienced. What I am speaking of is the client experience with learning how to heal their tattoos effectively. I now have 17 tatts in all and 4 from Archangel. The shop was very clean and orderly. The staff was helpful and are the only walk-in custom shop in Nashville. The staff are respectable. I am very pleased with the 4 that I have and I am happy to say that they are all healing very well. Please check out every shop and make the right decision before you mark your skin for life. Ive been going to Archangel for more than 5 years now. It has consistently been one of the cleanest, most welcoming shops Ive ever been in. The owner, Jeff, is very friendly and extremely talented. Hes done an amazing job on my sleeve; it looks better than I could have hoped for! Scooby is a great piercer and an entertaining personality. Would recommend to anyone wanting a professional experience and an amazing tattoo or piercing!!

I walked in feeling nervous about getting my nose pierced. Scooby helped me feel at home and the staff were very welcoming. The pricing is reasonable. Everything was very clean and sterile. Scooby explained everything he was going to do and answered all my questions i had. As he was doing the piercing he told me exactly what he was about to do. He is amazing!! it didnt even hurt. i recommend this place!!

I need two tattoos covered up and did A LOT of research on who was the best. This place kept coming up in my research. So I went and talked with them. Not only were they super nice but they worked with me on the design. Now I have two awesome tattoos and everyone says they cant even tell I had another tattoo. I LOVE THEM! Terry was my artist and he covered up my stupid martian tattoo with exactly the one I wanted. Im from Michigan and was only in town for a few days and he managed to fit me in the schedule and hook me up. Ill make the 7.5 hour drive down for my next piece too because the work was great, not to mention, the prices were affordable. Thanks again Terry, youre the man.

They quickly set me up an appointment. I just had my tattoo done by Jeff and couldnt be happier. Excellent work, happy to have him tattoo me again. Will definitely go back for my future pieces.
