First, for some reason I was only limited to a certain vehicle or 2 that I qualified for. not sure what that was about, but since I just had a car break down I was without much choice and I liked the 2007 Ford Edge they showed me. Nice and clean, in decent repair, and rode nice. I purchased the vehicle. They pulled soe strings and got me a decent rate, etc. After I left is when the problems started. I could never get a call back from my salesman for a couple questions I had, and an issue I was having. The brakes felt like they were grabbing. At this point being dis-satisfied with response fomr them, I took the car to Firestone aftere expoeriencing thsi problem for 3 months. And that had began only a mere 5 months after my purchase. At Firestone they found that all 4 rotors needed replaced due to warping, because they were all had been turned so much that they were below spec and could not be taken down anymore. The brake pads were brand new, so essentially they had band-aided the problem with new brake pads in an effort to just get the car off the lot. They would have seen how low those rotors were. $670.00 out of my pocket to fix. And nothign but disdain when I called the dealership about it. now, just over a year that I have had the vehicle, I start having issues with the ABS and anti-skid warning lights that came on repeatedly. This went on for a while, I had to add fluid, etc , and they went off. now last night as I hit the brakes, I had a grinding sound when I hit the brakes and the warning lights came on again. I took the car to Firestone. The hub bearing are worn thru and the whole hub has to be replaced on the right rear. Another $500.00 out of my pocket.. This is on top of the obvious repairs that have been done, tha I discovered months after I bought the car whenI cleaned it up the following spring. I can see where it was taped and such for painting, and that was never mentioned. I will never buy a car from this place again. Never have I had issues like this buying a car from somewhere. If you buy a car from them, take to your own mechanic first.

I recently completed a purchase at Bates Ford on Friday December 30, 2016 with the discussions beginning on Tuesday December 27 after I saw the pre-owned car on ebay. I called Mike Mohr (Internet Sales Manager) the same day, and he was very responsive from the very beginning. I test drove the car on Wednesday December 28 and negotiated the deal with Mike and Richard LaFaye (Sales Manager) the same day. These two gentlemen were very respectful and met my required purchase terms: I saved some money, and the dealership made some money – a great win/win. In my opinion and experience, Bates Ford has successfully combined online and in-person sales strategies while retaining the customer as the most important component of any deal, and in today’s automotive environment that is truly a rare combination. I highly recommend this company and team to anyone who is looking for a positive and rewarding car buying experience!

Burchet now Bates Ford in lebanon is awful. I have purchased two cars from them hopping for that small town feel. Worst, most aggravating experience Ive had. The cars and trucks Are over priced, the sales person I dealt with was a very nice man though, But the prices are ridiculous. The service department is full of jerks, they will hit you with the most expensive way to repair the car as possible. And, many times just down right rude. The Ford product is cheap and problem prone, brakes, tire wear, throttle body problems, a/c problems all within 100,000 miles. Im done. Im Going back to toyota. Too bad, but the American car business has sold out to money over quality. They will loose in the long run, and will go bye bye. P.s. Im in a chevy truck rental right now while the ford gets fixed.... Government motors quality is even lower than the ford. Terrible truck the chebby is.

Only giving 1 star because I couldnt give 0 stars. Bates ford takes advantage of hardworking people. We bought a used explorer there and got a warranty hoping it would help with any car repairs. Within a month of owning the vehicle the car needed a repair. We took it in thinking it would be covered and they said they couldnt cover it because it was a maintenance issue. Thats funny because we had just bought the car from them so shouldnt they have made sure the maintenance was taken care of? Now here we are again with the radiator messed up(3 months in) and we take it in. They say it should be covered and so we leave the car. 30 minutes later they call to say it wont be covered and its a 500 dollar repair. Please please please dont buy from bates ford and if you do, dont get duped into the warranty. Youll end up paying for the warranty plus all the repairs.

Worst experience of my life. I did walk away with a car however it took over 2 days, 240 miles and 5-6 hours of waiting. They didnt listen to me at all. I walked in the first day and had a pre-approval letter for the car. I told them I didnt want to have another credit inquiry and they pulled it anyways. Had me sign a document that was "to verify I was who I claimed to be" - turned out to be a second page document for the credit application. Didnt even know. I called to have them take it off. The guy that talked to tried playing the victim. "Ive been doing this for 25 years, I wouldnt make a mistake like that" & "Ive been doing this for many years I would never waste my time, my time is too valuable". - What he has been practicing for 25 years is how to fluff up wording so he can trick you into signing things that you dont want to.

Worst, most incompetent service department I have ever encountered. I took my new truck in last week to have the oil changed and a rotate and balance. When I left I assumed having had the work done at a dealership that Id be in a safely maintained vehicle, however, that was not the case. By the time I got home (15 miles) I had lost lug nuts! Obviously this joke of a dealership doesnt endorse the use of a torque wrench or any safety training for their technicians. This sort of incompetence will result in a death. Ill go to Two Rivers from now on where I have always gotten good service and a safely maintained vehicle.

My shopping and buying experience from Bates Ford and my salesmen, Mike Mohr, Internet Sales Manager, was truly smooth and easy. I purchased a beautiful, red 2016 Ford F250 XLT. I believe I was treated fairly and honestly and it was definitely worth driving from Georgia to make the sale. Everyone who helped us get into this truck was such a pleasure to work with, including Mike in finance and Richard from the business office. Sincerely, thank you all for making this a wonderful buying experience. I look forward to working with you again in the future and highly recommend your dealership. R. Allen, Georgia.
