I helped purchase my son and daughter n law a vehicle from a gentleman named Rob at Sunset Motors just 2 weeks ago. They are a young couple with 2 small children, and I wanted them to have a family vehicle. Their credit is not great yet, so we knew that price was going to be high. Understandable. However, the vehicle they purchased only ran for 4 days. It will not even start now. I instructed my son to call Rob and explain and get it fixed. He did, and was told that it was not Sunset Motors problem anymore. NOT understandable. This is not good business. Very shady, and Im not sure what the laws are in South Carolina concerning something such as this, but I will be finding out. My son and daughter n law are hard working, honest people just trying to raise a family. This is exactly the kind of dirty business that discourages the public. I will hire an attorney if I am advised that there is ANYTHING that I can hold them responsible for. If there is no legal recourse, then I will remain publicly vocal and publicly outraged so that no other young, inexperienced person gets ripped off by Rob and Sunset Motors.

I purchased a vehicle there about a few months ago. The vehicle started making a humming noise somewhere in the front. I know I purchased the vehicle as is, but I wanted some help on who I should take the car to, before I take it to a Audi dealership. I stopped back into Sunset Motors, and they said that they will contact me back with their mechanic information and maybe find the additional key they said they will have for me. its been almost two weeks, and I have not received a phone call back. To me, this is poor business practice, I guess Im not important because Im not purchasing a vehicle. Overall, Im taking my Audi Q5 to the dealership, and just from the initial phone call they have helped me more than Sunset motors has. I hope to have my car up and running this weekend, its sad seeing it sitting in my drive way broke.

Ive had 3 experiences with them and they have all been great. Referring to the post previously...if you have poor credit any dealer requires a large down payment for higher risk deals. Especially if they have to do an "in house" finance because the buyer cant get normal financing because of bad credit...you would too. Its common sense! If you have put a large amount of money down to buy a car, the chances of you letting it go back to a dealer is slim! Not saying this is you necessarily...just sayin! If you think their prices are inflated, walk in with cash or provide your own financing and make them an offer! Cash is king! Thank God in this economy some private businesses have in house financing if you cant get it anywhere else! Of course it costs a little extra but at least you can accomplish a purchase. I put a down payment on a car drove it for one day and smelled fire then. five days later the car caught on fire and no one was in the car thankful but i still dont have my car. have not heard anything and when i call i am put on hold or no one calls me back. I am very upset about this. I would not recommend them to anybody unless you do research on the car you purchase.

Ive purchased a few cars from them and all experiences have been great. I drive a lot so I trade often to keep miles low and trade In value high. I love the selections and the ease of business. I have referred quite a few friends and family as well and they also have had great experiences

Horrible car lot. Tried hiding from me that a car I was interested in has a salvage title ( 1992 camaro rs v6 blue with 200k miles) he still claims the title is clean and is wanting $6,000 for a 800$ car. This car lot is full of nothing but scams and WAY OVERPRICED cars.

purchased a truck from them and 2 weeks later transmission light stays on. took it to a mechanic and it needs a transmission. No one will return my calls. Alot of people warned me. I should have listened and stayed away.

Very friendly and helpful. I was in a bad situation and the sales guy "Art" did everything he could to get me in a ride at a short time period. He was straight forward, a quality you dont find at most places.
