I have been a motorcycle owner for 24 years. For the past 13 years I have been traveling around the world with my motorcycles as a military service member. My wife and I recently left the service and relocated to Greenville to be near family. Every time the military moves me I take my motorcycle to a shop to have it prepped for shopping and after the shipment I take it to a shop to have it inspected, adjusted, repaired, etc to get it ready to ride. If I could give this shop negative stars I would have. THIS IS THE WORST SHOP I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH IN MY LIFE, HANDS DOWN. I came to Greenville with my Harley and a highly customized 2003 Honda VTX 1800C. The Harley went to the Harley dealership (where I received excellent service) and the Honda went to Powersports. The bike spent over two months in the shop while it "waited for back ordered parts". What really happened was that they completely forgot about the bike and failed to even call me. When I took the bike in I was told it would be kept indoors. This was very important to me because the bike is covered in custom chrome parts, custom paint, etc. when I picked the bike up it was covered in rust, dirt and water marks. The paint was scratched and chipped and the mirrors were hanging limply and the fork caps for the front suspension were missing. I told them that the bike had shipped from Germany and had sat in a crate in a warehouse for four months and that I wanted it ready to ride safely. The mirrors were dangling, the headlight was aimed straight down and the bike was a straight mess. Everyone there was very friendly including Tony, Brigette, the sales manager Mike and the general manager Jason. But this does not make up for the incompetency of their shop and the thousands of dollars of damage they did to my bike. I do not write reviews about businesses without talking to the owner/management first. I spoke at length to Jason and explained the situation and he seemed like he wanted to improve the shop but I am writing this review based on my experience. He knows my real name but I write reviews under a pseudonym because of the sensitive nature of my work. I cannot recommend this shop to anyone. The shop did not offer any recompense for the damage to my motorcycle. They charged me over $800 and for what I do not know. I am furious at this situation even though everyone I spoke to was a very friendly person. This level of incompetence should not be tolerated at a motorcycle shop and I recommend that everyone in Greenville avoid this shop until they dramatically improve their maintenance shop.

My girlfriend and I were riding our Can-am Spyders from Atlanta, GA to Charlotte, NC to visit my parents. As we neared Greenville, SC on I-85 I suddenly noticed my 2012 RT-S developing problems. We were able to pull off on the side of the road and I noticed that bright green coolant was leaking and splattered on the front of my bike. A quick check on our phone found that a Can-am dealership was 9 miles away, Powersports of Greenville. I called and talked to their Service Manager, Ethan, and he sent a tow to come get my bike. Within 20 mins of making the call my bike was being loaded, talk about service! To make a long story short what was thought to be a coolant problem turned out to be a catastrophic failure of my engine. We had no choice but to leave my bike in Greenville and head back to Atlanta. Over the next few weeks, Ethan worked with BRP (the manufacturer of Can-ams) to determine what parts were needed and where to order them. Ethan also went way and above to prove that what happened was due to no fault of my own thus it became a warranty issue. Ethan gave me his personal phone number so that we could stay in touch over the next several weeks. Ethan and his crew worked diligently over the next 6 weeks receiving parts and rebuilding the engine, even sending me photos as the work progressed. Once the engine was complete and the bike put back together, Ethan drove my bike for several days to ensure that everything was performing as it should. We finally returned to pick up my bike. I cant express in words the appreciation and admiration I have for Powersports of Greenville, in particular Ethan and his service department. Keep in mind I was just a Spyder rider from Atlanta when this all started but I now feel as though I have an extended family in Greenville. My biggest regret is that they are 3 hours away and not here locally. Wish I could give them 10 stars because they deserve it!

Would like to do business, but bike is too old for service dept. When in the store to pick up some parts for my bike, I mentioned that Id be interested in getting some service work done, but was informed that my 1996 Shadow was too old and they didnt work on anything 10 years or older. Never heard that one before, but I guess business is so good they can turn down potential customers and/or service work on a bike that they are a licensed dealer for. Too bad because theres definitely a need for good motorcycle repair shops in the area. UPDATE: The day after the original post, I received a call from the service manager. (He must have gotten my phone number through my Google account info). He spent over 20 minutes on the phone with me and was concerned with the 2 star rating I originally posted. He explained his policy of not working on older bikes and I can see his position considering most 10+ year old bikes sometimes arent really worth the amount of work that is required to repair them. For instance- After explaining the issues Ive been having with my bike and all the things Ive already tried to do to fix it myself, we determined that my bike might potentially need $1500 worth of engine work, but its only worth $2500, so Id have to decide if I wanted to proceed- (most people wouldnt). On the flip side, I feel that people with older bikes should not be excluded from getting their bikes serviced by a licensed dealer just because of the age of the machine. Not a very good way to reward people for their longstanding brand loyalty. At any rate, Ive upgraded my rating to 4 stars due to the genuine concern shown by the management and their willingness to reach out to get the problem resolved. Seems like they truly want to keep a good reputation and are willing to go out of their way to keep customers happy. Thats what I look for in a business and is too uncommon today.

BEST BUYING EXPERIENCE...EVER! Thank you to all the employees of Powersports of Greenville for making the purchase of my new motorcycle so enjoyable. I traveled 3.5 hours to buy my new bike and boy was I impressed. From the moment I walked in, there was a smile from each member of the team and a welcoming attitude. Kevin, with finance, was expecting me and had everything waiting when I arrived. Signatures were all that was needed from me. Frank, in the service department, was awesome! I explained that I had a long ride home and I was concerned that it was going to be too cold without my heated jacket (dont judge me) and he installed the pigtail that I brought with me, right there on the spot! He showed me how the security system worked and made sure that I was comfortable with all aspects of my new bike. He also answered various newbie questions I had with no complaint. Kudos to Jayson, too. He is a super nice guy and made sure that my experience there was top notch. The whole place, under his guidance, ran like a well-oiled machine. I had the pleasure of crossing paths with several other employees (that shall remain nameless, only because I can’t remember names, not that they aren’t memorable) and each and every one was helpful, pleasant, and seemed to really know and enjoy their job. Thanks guys! My trip from NC to SC to make this purchase was totally worth the drive. Give these guys a shot, whether you are local or not, you won’t regret it.
