I had a 2012 Ford Focus with a flaky transmission I purchased from the Jenkintown John Kennedy Ford dealership, brand new. Ive never grown attached to a car before, but this little Tuxedo Black Focus stole my heart, and I was very reluctant to part with it. Sadly, it was like riding a bucking bronco -- hitting the gas caused the Trans to slip and reversing was plain dangerous, not knowing when it was going to kick into gear. Nearly took out the side of a supermarket wall just backing out of a parking spot once. After 3+ maintenance visits to the Jenkintown dealership for the same issue with no lasting results, I took the car to Paoli Ford for a second opinion, and got exactly what I wanted: a no bullshit, honest explanation of what exactly was going on with my car, and what needed to be fixed. Unfortunately I had to take it back to Jenkintown for service because they were responsible for the warrantied service. And when that visit failed as well, I was at wits end, ready to report it a lemon and see what I could get from there. Then a trusted friend recommended I try to trade it in to Paoli Ford for a new car, and see what I could get for my current car. Enter Gus Salguero, Ford Car Salesman, Great Guy, and -- quite possibly -- a Wizard. Gus patiently worked with my insanely picky parameters to help me find the perfect replacement for my Ford Focus Hatchback, which was ... well, a Ford Focus Hatchback. (Attached, remember?) Essentially, I wanted to clone my existing car as much as possible: features, color, style. I was willing to be a little flexible, but at the end of the day, I reeeeeally wanted what I already had. I didnt give poor Gus a lot of room to work, but I got the genuine sense that he wasnt going to be happy until I was happy. He never tried to pressure me into any of the cars they had on the lot, and we test drove a 2014 Focus just so I could feel more confident that the transmission issues from the 2012 were resolved in the newer models. He searched around the dealerships in the area for a Hatchback and kept me updated on the progress. So today I drove home with 98% match to my previous Focus, which had all the features I wanted, and a few I could easily live without. It drives smooth, and I dont feel like Im one lane-change away from plowing into the car ahead of me on the Turnpike. Thank you Gus, and thank you Paoli Ford. Youve made a very, very picky girl very, very happy. :)

I have been taking my car there for years for oil changes because it is close to my work, and I can go at lunch. I realize that you will pay more at a dealership than an independent mechanic. I was just looking for someone that I could trust that was convenient. 9 times out of 10, they would tell me that I needed some additional work. If I told them that I had to get back to work, and I didnt have time they would tell me that it was dangerous to drive my car and offered to give me rides to and from work or give me a loaner car. Unfortunately, It took me too many years to realize the scam they are running. I have spent hundreds of dollars a year on things that werent necessary. Last year, I took my car for a state inspection and they told me that I needed to have $800 of work done to pass inspection. I finally realized that I was being taken advantage of. I left and found an honest mechanic who said that I just needed front breaks. It cost me about $125 for new front breaks and the state inspection. I needed to get my inspection done this year, so I thought that maybe the mechanics at the Quick Lube that Matthews Paoli Ford runs would be more honest. I was wrong. It was the same story this year. If I let them do all of the work that they wanted to do, it would have cost me over $700. They told me that I needed a new exhaust pipe that would have been about $400, a new tail light assembly for over $200, a new windshield washer nozzle for over $100, new washer blades (they always say you need new washer blades and have replaced them many times without asking me) and other small things. When I left, I checked the rear light. It was working. There was just one bulb that was burnt out. The windshield washer fluid was just clogged. It unclogged itself as I pushed washer fluid through it. I took my car to a mechanic that welded a piece of pipe to the area that my exhaust pipe was rusted. That cost me $25. He replaced the burnt out bulb for $1, and he charged me for the state inspection. I paid the honest mechanic less than $100 for everything. This place will rip you off if you do not know much about cars. I especially think that they target women for their shenanigans. I am going to report them to Dateline NBC. I hope that they will send in some women with hidden cameras who have nothing wrong with their cars and watch these guys find thousands of dollars of needed repairs.

I just recently purchased a used truck, and my experience from the first time I called to speak to a salesman (Gus) until the final paperwork was signed could not have been anymore hassle free. I basically bought the truck over the phone and then went to the dealership to look at it. I was impressed with the level of customer care. Upon my arrival i was greeted by the Gus and we immediately started to inspect the vehicle, there were some things I needed done and as a courtesy they installed a set of step sides at no cost to me. I left the vehicle for them to install the steps and take care of the few things I had found wrong. I returned in 1 week to pick up the truck and everything was ready to go. As I pulled away from the dealership i noticed something not right about the way it was running and returned to have them check into it. They immediately took it to their repair facility and diagnosed it. The mechanic located the part in there warehouse and fixed it right away, only costing me 45 minutes of my time (Hows that for service!) I am enjoying my truck daily and the experience of buying it at Mathews Paoli Ford is second to none. I will send everyone that I know who is looking for a new or used car or truck to them and especially to Gus whos hard work made it possible for me. The Finance manager went above and beyond to get me the lowest rates available and further reduce my monthly payments witch puts money in my pocket (What Dealer do you know that makes you money) I know! Mathews Paoli Ford.....Thanks for everything.

My wife and I recently purchased a used car from Paoli Ford. We purchased a Honda Pilot. Our salesman was Gus, we spoke with Kevin in Service, and Joe helped with the titling of the car. In short, Paoli Ford is an excellent place to buy a car. What we experienced: Gus gave us his cell phone number and was available at all times in the process of buying a car. Gus took the time to get to know our criteria in a car, sometimes through trial and error, and helped us find what we were looking for in a patient way. When we found the car that worked for us, he walked us through the Kelly-Blue book pricing on the car from a third party site and we negotiated a price of our trade in and our purchase. Overall I was more than satisfied with the whole process and happy to recommend Gus. Kevin from service, who I have worked with for years and is a trusted adviser with our other cars, was indispensable in helping us understand the history of the car and what to expect. And lastly, Joe helped us with all the paperwork, he was warm and welcoming and patient with answering all of our questions. Overall they make a good team and I was impressed that they could make, what to me was, a daunting process enjoyable and satisfying.
