IF your a woman, dont go into the store alone without a man. You wont be helped AT ALL. I went into the store for the first time. As I entered, the receptionist was assisting a husband and wife. I stood there for several minutes hoping to get some sort of acknowledgement. The woman didnt say or look at me at all. I decided to venture around the store to see if I could get assistance else where. It was unclear to me who were the customers and who were the employees. Twice I passed a woman who I later discovered was an employee. I was clearly looking for help. A few minutes later, I see her approaching the husband and wife to provide help. After feeling quite frustrated and about to leave, I ask the receptionist where the rugs were. She curtly tells me that they are around the stairs. Someone finally does approach me and provides assistance. While looking at the rugs, I overhear the receptionist providing an effusive hello and guidance to two men that walk in. She then calls back to where they were headed and gives a description of the two men. I do find several rugs Im interested in. The ONE person that helped was to send me a follow-up email. I have yet to receive it. And, upon departing, the receptionist did not acknowledge my leaving. Unfortunately, the store has lost a customer.

I had a poor experience at Sheffield that I hope is not repeated. Sheffield sells great furniture in a beautiful showroom but their customer service is poor and ugly. Last year I made a purchase of several pieces of furniture, matching lamps, tables, and rugs. One of the pieces was a matching leather chair and ottoman. When the chair finally arrived (after a prolonged wait) the leather and finish did not match. Since I previously got the run around from my salesperson, I spoke to the store manager. He promised to get it corrected. After multiple reorder attempts and a 12 month wait, I asked for my money back since Sheffield was incapable of satisfying my order. Mistakes can happen and if corrected can be a hallmark of quality customer service. I found that I had to repeatedly call, send emails, visit in person, and write letters to the president of Sheffield to get any action from them. No one at Sheffield from the sales person to the president advocated for me to correct the situation. There was no proactive communication. The only Sheffield representatives that exhibited any kind of concern or empathy about the situation was the delivery personnel. They could teach the rest of the personnel at Sheffield how to provide quality customer service.

I came across Sheffields after being unable to find a furniture store with a large showroom locally where we could see the furniture. The first time I spoke to Dave he was very accommodating - due to my inflexible schedule he stayed after hours to assist us . He then put me in contact with Diane T. And there are not enough words to describe how amazing she is!!! She went above and beyond to help us design our whole house, from the smallest details to the paint colors. She truly made our dream home a reality. She was patient throughout the whole process. And her designing skills were impeccable. Their customer service from Kurt to Steve to Sherry was great! Any concerns or questions we had with the products, they addressed right away. When one of the contractors damaged one of their pieces, they went above and beyond to help us find a solution to repair it. Truly exceptional store and customer service!!

I had a great experience at Sheffield Furniture when I was searching for a new dining room table. The selection they had available was very large and the woman helping me seemed to ask me the right questions to figure out what it was I was wanting. I am very satisfied with my purchase and experience. The next time Im looking for a piece of luxury furniture I will surely come back to Sheffield.

Our salesperson was extremely knowledgeable when it came to finding the historically correct furnishings (and fabrics) to match our homes period. Everything was delivered on time and without issue.
