I only shop at this store when there are sales, as the store overall is way overpriced on almost all of its merchandise. Today, I picked up three items on the "90% Off" rack, and verified with a nearby saleswoman that they were indeed 90% off. She said that they were, so I took all three items to the cashier, along with my other purchase. When the cashier was ringing me up, she didnt ring the three items up as 90% off and she said she could call the store manager if Id like, but that I might have to wait because the store manager was busy. I waited, and when I did talk to the manager, she told me that those items "were on the wrong display and arent on sale." I tried to tell her that they were on the 90% off rack, and that the saleswoman had confirmed the pricing before I went to the cashier. She was unwilling to provide me with the posted sale price, so I left the store without purchasing anything. I wont be going back to this store anytime soon!

I agree, with Margie. Ive been to this store 3 times, all of which were not so pleasant experiences. The employees chatted amongst themselves while I was the only person waiting in line at the cutting table. I simply watched them chat, seeing how long it would take for them to service me. They acknowledged my existence a few times, but still continued to talk. This happened on two separate trips; it was not a one time occurrence. They also seem to be short staffed because all three times, I had to wait in very long lines, but that is more of an observation rather than complaint. The cashiers Ive had were all nice and the store has a good selection; it is a larger Joanns. But the cutting table ladies I had were just awful.

I am a regular customer here and have no complaints whatsoever....maybe just lucky that Ive not had to wait long for cutting...could be they are busier at certain times. I have found many of the employees there, VERY knowledgeable about sewing and really helpful to me. I am in there quite often so it could be that I know them and they know me. Sorry to hear that others have had bad experiences...... One thing that I do advise tho, is check your receipt before leaving since sometimes they make mistakes and you think something is on sale, and it isnt.

Avoid this particular location at all costs. This store has the worst customer service ever. Most staff are not helpful, long lines b/c usually only one cashier, items out of stock often, and only store location I have encountered, where a human does not answer the phone, hence long waiting time.

I agree, this store has mostly terrible customer service. Its very difficult getting help or answers to "how to" questions. I did recently have a nice experience with the manager though. Its just a shame the employees arent motivated or perhaps its that they are not trained.

There is a wide selection of items. However, that is the only positive part of this store; everything is extremely overpriced and the customer service is poor.

The fabric selection is HUGE! I live in Phoenixville and will drive the 40 minutes to Downingtown just to go to this Jo-Ann Fabrics!
