Im genuinely happy to share this review of my highly satisfying selection and purchasing experience of a new 2015 Volkswagen Golf at North Penn Imports in Colmar Pa. My new buyer experience was launched by the convenience of its location, its impressive facilities and the hospitable atmosphere of the modern showroom there. Although I was enthusiastic about seriously considering the purchase of the new 2015 Golf model, I naturally had a degree of buyer apprehensions and needed more information about the new Golf. Soon after, I was courteously welcomed by Irv Gordon, a gracious and experienced Sales Consultant. I immediately felt I was at the right Volkswagen dealership for what I wanted. Working together with Irv was consistently reassuring. I knew I was "in good hands". During the process of our several meetings, he patiently and knowledgeably guided me toward my final selection of a Golf "SE" model with my preferred accessories. Irv’s comprehensive product knowledge and capable guidance were invaluable in solidifying my confidence with wanting to purchase “my” new VW Golf at North Penn VW. After my easy decision to purchase the car I selected, Irv introduced me to the Business Manager, Jason Hartman to discuss a variety of VW after-sales products and finalize necessary paperwork. Jason is very courteous, personable and well spoken. Not surprisingly, and a highly informed young gentleman who is very easy to communicate and work with. His clear presentation of supplemental Volkswagen products really enhanced and "rounded out" my overall buying process. Thank you Jason for being so very helpful to me. Very eager to finally get in my brand new white VW Golf SE and drive it home, Irv hastened to sit in the car with me and patiently and thoroughly introduced me to its numerous operational features; and handily answered all of my related questions. The time we spent was enlightening, much needed and very useful, as I was quick to learn. That time added immeasurably to the enjoyment of my overall purchase experience. Irv, many thanks for the clarity of all the “on the point” information you shared with me and for increasing my confidence in selecting the particular VW Golf model I purchased; all of which I attribute to the distinction of the North Penn VW dealership. Of all the many automobile dealerships Ive done business with over the years, not one ever came close to making my vehicle purchase a hassle-free and satisfying experience. Not so, compared to my exceptional buying experience at North Penn VW. That said, the customer services I witnessed were exceptional by any measure. And yes, in the future I would purchase another vehicle there; and will unqualifiedly recommend North Penn Imports to members of my family, and definitely to my friends, associates and neighbors. To sum up, my untypical buyer experience there, added to its well deserved reputation for quality personalized sales and service to its customers will dictate nothing less. Thank you North Penn Imports for making my very recent VW purchase there was an informative and very beneficial event. Erin I. February, 2015

One of the worst experiences I have ever had. Dropped my new mazda off for a simple oil change. Waited to two hours or so, no problem at all. Talked to the service manager and just hung out. Everything was good. Paid for the car and then drove home. When I got home I had realized the rear bumper was cracked and scratched, it had obviously hit something. I called the dealer back and drove all the way back for them too look at it. When I had arrived at the dealer, 5-10 different people from the dealership took a look at the car. The body shop guy said that it had to have been hit pretty hard. Well I am the only one who drives the car and I am sure it didnt happen while I was in the car. Anyway, it went on and on for another hour or so until the "Owner" finally came out. The owner took a walk around the car and then called the police. When the police arrived it suddenly turned into the owner saying "my body shop guy told me that he must have smashed into a pile of ice" (despite the body shop guy telling me that it was definitely another car) and immediately pointed the finger at me saying there was absolutely no way that it could have happened there. I asked for some security footage, ironically, it was not working and they didnt have any...hmm. The owners response was that his guy that worked on it had been there for 20 years, and never messed up any car. Well, 20 years is a long time, but its called an ACCIDENT for a reason. The owner was disrespectful, talked down to me because of my age, and had no respect. He didnt even try to figure out what happened, he just instantly said it was not them..No sorry, no remorse, no estimate for the damages....nothing. I have never experienced anything like that in my life. Just a simple apology or something would shed light on the situation, but instead the owner did not care, as he said to the police "the car that was NOT purchased here is damaged" which for some reason justifies them damaging my car. Pay $200 for an oil change, leave with a smashed bumper. Worst experience ever, and I hope that no one else tries to do business with these people. Just wanted to post an UPDATE.... The dealer never had any intention of repairing the bumper. I was strung along for nearly 2 months with nothing but sarcastic and ignorant emails from Joe Magarity, the owner, such as "were working on it" and "still waiting for a date" over and over again. He then sent me a threatening ultimatum to delete the "illegal and slanderous" post (above) or my car would never be repaired. That email was sent to me via his personal email account and separated from the other emails that were exchanged, perhaps intended to be kept under the radar. It just further proves the dishonesty and poor customer service that this business has to offer. I HIGHLY discourage anyone from doing any business with this company.

Best - and easiest - car buying experience I have ever had I first met Jason Hartman at North Penn Mazda two years ago when we were shopping for a new CX-5 for my wife. This was when they had just become available and were very hard to find. Though we ended up buying at a different dealer that had exactly what we wanted, I was impressed enough to keep Jasons name on file. When it came time to replace my car, I had two models at the top of my list - the new Mazda 3s GT and the VW GLI. Since I was less than happy with my prior experience at the other Mazda dealer, and because North Penns dealerships carried both makes, I contacted Jason to see if hed be able to arrange for extended test drives of both cars back-to-back so that I could really get a feel for how they compare. With an infant son at home and almost no free time, I needed to be in and out of the dealership as quickly as possible, at times that worked best for me. Despite no longer being in sales - he was now a finance manager - Jason made all the arrangements and had both cars ready when I arrived. He also made sure to get answers to the follow-up questions I had, and even arranged a 2nd test drive of the Mazda so that I could be sure my wife would be comfortable driving it if she had to and that our sons car seat would fit in the back seat. Once I made the final decision to go with the Mazda, I turned the process around a bit and put together an offer to the dealership for the exact color and options that I wanted, and that was an extremely good deal (for me), but that I also felt was ultimately achievable. At that point, Jason had to turn me over to someone in sales, and so introduced me to Tony Hamilton. It was then that I expected the process to bog down a bit and have to start negotiating, meet the sales manager, hear why my trades not worth what I think it is, etc.. But there was none of that! They evaluated my trade and ran the numbers in the span of maybe 20 minutes, and Tony wrote up the buyers order exactly as I had proposed. Considering that they would have to locate the car for me, and that my trade was 14 years old, I was almost shocked that they didnt try to bargain the price higher "just because". I had my new Mazda by the end of the week. Jason did a great job explaining all the paperwork and had us through that process quickly and painlessly. Tony took the time to explain every feature of the new car, answer all of my wifes and my questions, and even had us scheduled for our first (and complimentary) oil change. Im enjoying my new car and couldnt be happier with my experience at North Penn Mazda. I definitely recommend them to anyone looking to buy a car.
