Ambridge Do It Best has all the standard items and tools you need. Where they shine above the rest, there unique stock of tools/materials that usually require a order or get it online. They have a wide selection of outdoor building materials, contractor services, tool and machine rental and much more. The staff are always pleasant and knowledgeable of the items in store. Prices are competitive, usually on the lower side if you compare. I have been going here for years. Lastly, this store is privately owned -the owner is a pillar of the community in numerous ways. Supporting a local hardware store is what you are doing while shopping here!

I use this store a good deal. I am very much in favor of this over a big box store. Very helpful technically, unbelievable inventory selection, especially on difficult pieces of small custom hardware for older homes or furniture. If you review the sale items upon entering you can do well. They repaired my 32 year old Toro snowblower for $15.00 last year (failed return spring.) They also do equipment rental. Great selection of home and garden items as well. Very much a top notch local store, Again, staff is friendly and helpful.

If I could give negative stars, I would. Staff/management are VERY rude & unprofessional. I watched staff get very mean & rude with a customer just for trying to return something. Extremely overpriced!!!! Take your business elsewhere and save yourself some money & deal with nicer people who actually appreciate your business!!!!!

As an Ambridge resident and owner of an older home, my husband and I frequent this store. While the prices are slightly higher than at a big box store, we find the convenience of our local hardware store cannot be beat. We have used the rental services a few times for tools that we do not need more than a one time use.

Very professional clean and courteous staff. Ken in the rental is a top notch professional always helping me with my needs. They service my Toro mowers and also sell the Toro brand which I know and recognize the good brand and its being sold by people I trust.

Great for getting things you need fast when you cant make it to the Big Box stores. If you can make it to Lowes or Home Depot you will save, prices are high here. Staff is good and always willing to help out...something you wont get at the Big Box stores!

Very helpful friendly staff all the way around. Has almost everything I need when I make a trip to the local hardware store. Additionally they have party rentals and equipment rentals. I love it here and it is close by.

Great local place to get products. Mostly helpful, however the "older" women (cashiers)are nasty and miserable towards customers.
