Very Poor customer service! The grooming service is just poor as far as trying to actually GET the appointment you scheduled. I wont speak for all the technicians but my experience was SO bad that I wont even buy supplies for my animals. at this one. Let me just say, I was doing a friend a favor in dropping off her small dog and doing the pick up as well. She had made the appointment on Sunday for the following Monday. I called the friend that morning before the appt to have her be SURE that they had recd the rabies information from her vet so there would be no mishaps. When she called they said they didnt have her correct number and had been trying to reach her as the groomer wouldnt be coming in due to weather. This was fine, and understandable. She set the appointment for the following day at 10 a.m. and was told they had received her rabies info. When trying to drop off the dog the next morning I was told we werent in there schedule at all. The girl who waited on me not only had a surly temperament but told me that we shouldnt have had the rabies proof faxed as the fax machine doesnt always work. WHAT? Oh, so now its our fault, because....SURPRISE no rabies information was to be found. I finally got a hold of the friend and had her communicate who her vet was so that the information could be transferred. She scowled at me the whole time, and acted as if she were doing us a favor by getting him in. When asking how short the cut should be, I told her about a half an inch or just enough to keep warm, to which she said " once I take it off, we CAN"T put it back on"! Wow. Then, when I picked up the poor little dog, his collar and leash were missing and the poor cashier had to go speak to this girl in the back room to find them. Im handed the dog and his toe is bleeding, not just a little. I feel almost as if she did it purposely although I cant be sure. The toenail was cut so far back it was ridiculous. I was given a towel by the young man and he said he would go get her to put something on it to stop it. It was apparently her lunch time and she was completely put out and said that "dogs quicks (sp) get too long when they are not brought in often enough". So again, not MY FAULT, (her proclamation). You are supposed to be a professional, and a bit of a smile, and an apology would have been in order. NEVER again. Lastly, as I was waiting I saw the managers picture above on the wall who I realized was standing not even 4 feet away from all that went on and not ONE word. Shame on you Petco

On February 17th I called in to have my dog groomed. I was asked to call back in 30 minutes. In about 35 minutes I called back and was asked a SECOND time to call back...this time by Shanon. I stated I had already called once before and I was told that she could not help me at this time to call back again. I was treated very rudely by Shanon. I asked to talk to a manager and she stated she was the manager. Well, maybe she shouldnt be a manager if she is treating a customer so rudely. I will now have to find another groomer for my dog. Cause if she can treat me like that, I rather not put my sweet baby (dog) in her hands.

When I made the appt for my little furbaby to get groomed I had no idea how wonderful the staff would be the groomer was . that was until I saw that she had CUT my furbaby eye Lodi had told her she has had eyelid surgery and to please be careful .when I picked up my furbaby I didnt notice the cut , but when we got home I saw the blood caked on top of next to her surgery cut she nicked it I will not ever have her groom my furbaby again . Im so disappointed.

The only reason this store and this company got a star was because I couldnt give them negative stars. These recent reviews are 100% spot on. This store should be closed and made available to a real pet store that actually cares about their customers. The company its self isnt any better they are like everyone else that blows who smoke up your ass. And try to make you believe that they care when they dont.

I had a wonderful experience at this petco in Grants Pass. We went in looking at the reptiles and Damien helped us with everything we needed! He let us hold all the pets we were interested, answered all of our questions expertly, and even helped us pick out the best items to put in our aquarium. If I ever need anything, I know that he will be there and have answers for us!

Everytime I go in there is numerous sick reptiles and the husbandry is atrocious! If you are going good to sell reptiles at least care for them correctly and teach others to do the same! Really 59.99 for a baby on his death bed :( pathetic! I have run a rescue and never have received one in that bad of shape! Poor baby! You should be ashamed of yourselves!

Terrible customer service for so many reasons. The final straw came today when I was trying to get the correct price for an item that they had overcharged me for. We left with one of the employees yelling "youre a joke" at us as we were leaving, in front of a ton of customers. Dont waste your time at Petco and take your business elsewhere.

The staff is always friendly and helpful. I have had a few times where I went and they have been out of things. You have to be careful what you buy there though. I have seen things priced cheaper than online and others that are more than 3 times the online price. The store is always clean, and I never have a problem finding help.

Chain stores never care about their customers the way mom and pop shops do. They create ridiculous "policies" rather than taking individual situations into account. Ive been a loyal customer with them for over a year and have spent WAY too much money with them. I will now go out of my way to NEVER give them my business again.

Definitely better deals for grooming at other local places that are more professional. I think they are too large of a chain to have good customer service - although locations I have used frequently in Vancouver, Wa were all really helpful and professional, so maybe it is just a Grants Pass thing...

Love the training program here! My puppy is a whole new man after almost 6 weeks with Jessica. The people who work there are always super friendly and helpful, any time I go in with a problem they just help me find what I need instead of judging or pushing me off onto someone else.

I have reptiles and a big salt water fish tank and every time I am in petco all the employees missterisly dissaper. When i finally find a employee they make excuses on why they can not test my water or get me fish from their tanks. Very dissapointed in the mangment of this store
