They start out with one star because I cant go lower than that. They get one more star because they had Guinea pig shampoo, which I desperately needed and didnt want to drive to Eureka for. They dont get a third, fourth or fifth star because they suck. First, I stopped to see what reptiles they had. They have three different-sized bearded dragons housed together. The bigger of the three is almost big enough to attempt eating the smaller of the three. Then I looked around for critter harnesses. They only had a ferret one, the kind that is basically just a rope. I dont like those, and dont want to put one on my Guinea pig. The kid behind the counter asked if I was finding everything okay, I asked about the little harnesses. He directed me toward the ferret one. I said Ive used one, I dont like them. He told me "not this one, its an adjustable rope" and I got a little peeved. Told him that yes, in fact, that was the type Id used and I did not like it. Then I bought the shampoo and left, and Im not going back. I found a nice little pet supply store on G that I just love.

A couple times i went in to buy cat treats or litter nobody was at the counter and one time the girl who ended up "greeting" me was rude. The items on shelves looked dusty and unfortunately i couldnt find a pack of cat treats or litter that didnt have that "its been here for too long" dirt layer on it.Not just the front package of treats, all of them but 2 were dirty. The cats loved the treats but being a customer in this store sometimes feels like a burden to the employees so i wont be back.

I placed an order online, after hours and received a phone call the following day to clarify my order. There was a shortage and the friendly staff wanted to know how I would like to proceed. Ship now or wait to restock and then ship. I shipped now and that is indeed what happened. Priority mail had my items before I had expected them and a refund was in my account before I made if from the phone to the computer. Second to none service and among the cheapest prices I have found anywhere.

My household and I spend so much money here not only on animals from this store, but supplies as well, we could buy online for much cheaper, but we choose to shop at local buisnesss as we find ourselves to be so fortunate because of this community. My cat needs some medication and I walk up exactly 1 minute after they close, theres 3 employees inside and even after i plea my case, I got pushed away. No hearts or love for animals here. Just people to sell you stuff.

Everything placed very neat with the products carefully surrounded by bubble wrap in the box with receipt on top. Very pleased, will definitely be making future orders with this company. Poor customer service. My order was either addressed incorrectly (I dbl checked it was right online after shipping) or the post office lost my house because I never saw the package. It was returned as undeliverable as addressed by USPS. Acarta refused to refund the shipping costs even though the error was not mine.
