Horrible. I purchased drinks here because it makes less of a hassle ( I thought ) to return my deposit cans. After all, if I am going to be charged a deposit, I want my money back. Can return machines are continually broken. We left after 20 minutes of malfunction and endless waiting for a clerk. Came back 30 mins later, machine broke, waited another 10 minutes for anyone to come out to fix it. We were told all clerks were on lunch. At 8:45 pm. Then we went inside to collect our refund. Self check out clerk was busy waiting on another senior clerk for a good 5 mins and left us standing there mindlessly but not before making a sarcastic comment to my child who was standing there with me. We were finally waited on by another checker just for her to be suddenly "finished" helping another clerk with his 4 packages of cupcake baking cups. 4 dozen baking cups took over 5 mins? She took the people waiting behind us with no problems. She was a jerk and the senior checker was a jerk and their whole store stinks. Sale items are always empty especially their gluten free items. More than once I have left this store with my cart half full and now only go inside for drinks but wont even be buying those anymore. I was a courtesy clerk years ago for Safeway I know they expect higher standards than this but Dallas Safeway just doesnt seem to care. Thumbs down, and F minus and less than one star if I could give it.

Ive been using wall insurance for 20+ years. In the age where most people go online and compare prices, Ive found it invaluable to have a live person who isnt a representative from the insurance company, whom I can ask questions of. A month ago, I was rear-ended on a highway. It was 100 percent the other persons fault and the police were called and confirmed that. Youd think the insurance company would want to deal fairly and honestly with me to get the claim resolved. They fought me on everything and outright lied about things too. When I looked up the laws and called them on it, they talked to me like a child and told me I was misinformed. I called my insurance broker Kasi and she contacted them, got things moving and let them know that she knew the laws and regulations pertaining to settlement and wasnt going to let them cheat or shortchange me. When youre hurt and dont have a vehicle.... thats when your choice of insurance companies and brokers, really matters. And mine came through with five stars! Thank you wall insurance!

While I was working at the Dallas Safeway I saw employees routinely setting the dates back on expiration for the fruit bowls and other products. This Safeway should be closed. Safeway store 4404 has quality problems. The watermelons arent kept in the fridge like theyre supposed to be, they look alright on the outside but inside they are usually rotten. Ive seen molding cups of grapes in the front of the display, and organic tomatoes that are so disgusting - they are shriveled up and sitting in their own juices. The spicy and mild guacamole which is made in the store, is the same exact batch with different stickers every time I saw it made. Even when employees are made aware of the problems they act oblivious. Its like the employees and management dont care about their jobs or that they serve the community a bunch of garbage at premium prices. I know employees routinely change the dates to sell expired products because I witnessed it while working there. From seeing whats considered acceptable at this Safeway, Ill never shop at a Safeway again.

Safeway has changed immensely over the years, it used to be about the customer (I didnt mind paying a bit more) because they cared about more than the bottom line. But now its DEFINITELY about their $$$ not ours. During peak hours theres maybe two cashiers working, 75% of the customers are forced to use the self-checkout if they want to ever get home. Loves are always long. When trying to get clarification on a price that seemed off, Ive had staff tell me that their mgmt wanted to "trick you" into buying a higher-priced item through mismarking similar items. Staff, although most are friendly and helpful, some are downright upsetting to communicate with. Safeway - you CAN beat Walmart (the bar is pretty low) but you cant do it on your customers backs.

Really the only Supermarket in Dallas. Competition just does not have all of the items that Safeway has. Beer selection is great. Fresh fruit and veggies good. The reason for the drop in star is that they rarely have the sale items in stock or people hoard it that they need to get more in. More than once is a sale item promoted and they just do not have any in stock. Other items like butter flavored Crisco - for baking cookies - they have all the other items, but would have bare shelves for something like that which is well used this time of year. Overall a good store though.

We went to Dallas the night before solar eclipse. A lot of people were in this small town for this rare opportunity, just as expected. At night, we came here to fill our gas tank, did some grocery shopping and decided to sleep in the car in the parking lot, just like many others in this area. Its not because we wanted to save money on hotels, but because they are all booked out much ahead of time. At 1:15 am the manager came to knock on our car window to let us leave. So we left peacefully with a single star review for you.

Normally I have really good service here today however was different the guy that was tracking us out Im getting all of our items ready we asked him specifically to separate our sandwiches so we knew whose was whose he put them both in the same bag alone so there was no excuse before that he took my two monsters that I had bought and slammed them down other side in the bagging area there was no smile and I honestly think he should be either be berated or fired

I was picking out some meat this morning in the meat department. When a young Spanish girl brought her cart over full of meat and totally pushed me out of the way and took over the whole meat display where I was trying to buy meat. She never said excuse me nothing not one word literally just bullied me right out of the aisle. I hate driving all the way to Salem but after this I think I will I feel very disrespected

My error, but thwy still fixed it and made it right! Last month - bought icky oranges and the return was not questioned at all. I did have my receipt! They have been super nice. They have hired new staff so it did tKe a little patience on my part. Thanks Safeway

This is my go to shopping location. The self checkout has so many problems it becomes a hassle to use and you are constantly trying to get help. The customer service is usually mediocre. Ive never had an extremely good visit to safeway. Just not so bad visits.

Safeway needs a coupon redeemer isle...watched a customer and 2 clerks dispute coupons for 10 minutes. Finally packed up my groceries and moved to another line. The store is nice inside and the clerk was apologetic.
