So annoyed. I always shop at Safeway. Today for some reason the cashier just rubbed me the wrong way. As Ive shopped there and buy water a lot I always just tell the cashier its on the bottom of my cart. I always help bag my groceries. Today she rings my groceries up and I start bagging. Then walks around with my milk to put it in my cart. Asks did I get the ice tea? Ya first thing you rang up...or you can look at the receipt. It was the way she asked. Then I bought a $25 gift card. I have bought many from Safeway. I go to pay my bill with my credit card and she asked for my id because Im buying a gift card. This made no sense to me because why do you need my id for that. She said many years ago people stole someones credit card and bought a whole bunch of gift cards so she likes to make sure who is buying the gift card is the owner of the credit card. It still makes zero sense to me. After I already put my credit card in she snapped saying I need your id. I told her hold on a second so I can sign. She said it wont work until I see your id. She was rude. I feel she implemented her own rules. I think its ludicrous. If she wanted to check my id because I was using a credit card no worries. But because a gift card that is ridiculous. I will never go in her line. She was rude and tried to make it seem like I was stupid because it makes no sense to me. Perhaps you can let your checkers no to hold back on making up their own rules.

On January 18th I went shopping at Safeway. I have been a loyal customer since they opened . I have lived in Windsor since 1990. I found the store was out of many items that day, not the normal thing I have experienced....what really set me off was the check out Gal. .I wont name names here but should a Manager care to discuss face to face I am available. Here is what happened... I put my items on the counter and said "Hello" " How are you today", she said "Its 2 more days till doomsday, how do you think I am doing?" I said" What do you mean? She said "dont you know? Trump gets into office!....I said "oh , thats right" " I support him" and it was ON! She started down this verbal beating of Trump, of me for supporting him, of anyone who did. She said he was a "User" of women " ( she forgot about Monica Lewenski and Bill Clinton) and he was disgusting etc. All while 3 others waited in line. Everyone has an opinion. Americans have had issue with the last 4 presidents over their "Legitimacy- . " But for an employee to be voicing their un -educated opinion, to be using their check out counter as a soap box is warrant for Termination......I was approached by 2 customers as I loaded my car with the $300 worth of items and they were also "appalled" There is a time and place .....this was neither. So, Raleys.....will you accept me as a customer without prejudice?

This store has hit rock bottom over the last 6 months, they dont ever reorder top sold items, sending you across the street to their competitors who clearly knows it sales so they keep it in stock. They cant keep staff and have a high turn over. They flt sighns across the store with bs that your time is valuable so threes a crowed and they will open another register. Well that never happens, and Tuesday I opted to go there vs the competitor..big mistake for me and my very last. It was the busiest time of the night they had two checkers on staff, no speed register was open. Lines were over 15 people deep in both lines it took me 25 min to get to check out. I walked out and said this is my final purchase in this store. Ill now shop both of their competitor stores and for my big ticket weekly shopping, Ill now drive to the next city and start to shop at Luckys.

I have tried to call 7 times-- each time it is supposed to go to customer service-- IT HANGS UP IMMEDIATELY! You have the WORST customer service I have ever seen-- except your other Safeways...like Guerneville where you wait over 20 min in line to check out because corporate will not approve more labor hours even tho it is the only store and customers complain as well as the employees. For the prices you charge, you can afford more labor hours to satisfy your customers as well as ANSWER THE PHONE!

I just moved to Windsor,and find there are only two choices of full grocery stores, Safeway and Raleys. I have always chosen a cheaper store instead of these two, and their higher prices. So I get some staples at the local Walmart and any fresh food at Safeway! Watch for sales and get ok buys. Otherwise I prefer Luckys off Mendicino in Santa Rosa for my stock-up groceries. Shop around and you will find things up to a dollar cheaper! A senior on limited income.

Place is crowded, long lines with limited checkouts open, employees are usually disgruntled and bitter, rotten food in produce sometimes with bugs. This place sucks and his it got 4 starts is amazingly inaccurate. Go to Olivers because Raleys is almost worse and smelled like S.

Everything you need to stock your fridge and cupboard with reasonable prices and lots of selection that LOTS of people shop at. Doesnt seem like a happy place to work though, which may affect service.

A great store just got even better! A good example would be the "Late July" snack crackers. Safeway has them selling for a lower price than other stores. And that is just one example. Thanks!

As others have said it contains a Starbucks and Jamba juice. Normally very clean well run store. However, sometimes the produce is less than ideal and the herb selection is lacking.

I havent really been a fan of Safeway for a long time, but thats just the chain, not any particular store. This one is nice, well stocked and a relatively convenient location

EXCELLENT DELI Love spicy foods, they had Habanero Ham!! Oh i was super satisfied, great selection everywhere else too. They are a big enough store to handle the inventory.

Prices here arent the best, but with the club card its worth it. Also great because it is 24 hours. No other super market in Windsor is 24 hours that I know of.

Their prices are getting higher and higher. The produce is sometimes so-so. Meats are ok. Overpriced as well. I only shop there for the convenience.

Im not sure why they do not offer the same price on lunch specials as in the Healdsburg Safeway. But it was a quick place to pick up lunch anyway.

Good pricing because of so much local competitors. $1.50 difference between the same item in Headlsburg and Windsor.
