I went straight to the meat section. There was a gentlemen packaging what look like chicken in the back. I looked for a bell or something to let him know I was there and needed help but I eventually had to give him a little yell for assistants..... This guy was amazingly helpful.He asked me how my day was going, then asked me what I needed. I told him I needed a list of things... He said Great! Let me escort you to all the things your looking for, and brought me to everything I needed, while helping 2 others along the way. Great employee. I wish I could have remebered his name, but he worked the meat department on 5/13/2017 around noon, all by himself. Its people like this that make me want to return to this location for my everyday needs. Great job on the decision to hire this great employee Safeway.

Horrendous waiting time literally every time Im in the store. This store needs more cashiers or they need to be more strict Im these ridiculous couponers. Note to staff, if your customer is spending more than 30 seconds looking for coupons or more than 30 seconds negotiating, move them to the front desk! Im so sick of these coupon people taking up everyones time. Youre not making any money on them, youre losing money, your time, and your customers time in the store. One lady today spent over 10 minutes going back and forth on her phone and the ad, arguing about deals and coupons and blah blah. If I had a $20 in my pocket Id have told her to get the eff out of the line and accept her checkout as is with my $20. Its not just this time. Its every time. KEEP THE LINE MOVING.

THE SLOWEST STORE IVE EVER GONE TO! I work in the sunset esplanade. & I DESPISE having to run over to safety for ANYTHING. its not even worth going to unless you grab a basket full of food cus youll be waiting in like for 20 minutes or longer! I would go to the customer service desk & LEGIT WAIT for like 15 minutes before anyone even came to help me. everyone saw me. but no one came to help or let anyone know. all the workers there are really nice. just EXTREMELY SLOWWW SERVICE.

This exoerience was fine. Nice, friendly employees. Bathrooms and floor cleanliness are horrific. I do not buy my produce here becase it never outlives the expiration date. Most of the long term employees have left under new management. I have shopped here since it opened. Now I only go to this store for a few items. I do the bulk of my grocery shopping elsewhere. The store is convenient for a limited number of items.

This is my neighborhood Safeway and it is the worst safeway I have ever been in, they usually only have one casher working the register the lines are to long and I have repeatedly asked them to carry more sugar free items for the Hollidays in there candy corner and no change I have completely given up on this store and would rather drive to Aloha where the service is better.

I went in with my wife and a 16 mth old son to get two things, when i entered the register the checker said "im sorry im closed" i got in the only other register opened. Shortly after there were 8 customers in line, so the checker paged for a back up. A while later the same checker comes back up and gets me rang up... why the hell would she not ring me up in the first place?

The lady in the deli was extremely helpful in my order of a sandwich platter for a party. She got me a great deal and went above expectations to help me pick exactly what I needed. Everyone loved them. I wish I would have caught her name so I could give her recognition. She had a thick accent. Will definitely be coming back for future parties.

Not my favorite Safeway, but its the closest and they have a reasonable selection. Lots of Hispanic foods, which I like. The deli and meat counters are a bit limited, and not much in the way of organic like you get at the bigger stores. They have more checkers now, but its still painfully slow sometimes.

My faborite place to get Chinese food in Hillsboro, I have been trying many different places but Chinese food from safeway to me... Is like no other. Also the service to check out less that 3 people in line thats means they really care about my valuable time. Keep up the great job safeway!!!

The bathrooms were, at the time I went to use them, almost unusable because of the smell and the appearance of the bathroom. There is no self-checkout which means I had to wait in line for me to purchase three drinks that I hand carried. I wish the process was faster at this location.

When I really needed some string to tie up a turkey, I had to ask them to help me find it. When they could not find it, either, they just cut me a length of string from the back for free. Its the little things like this that keep me coming back (There is no Starbucks, though).

Good place to shop recommend a visit if in the area . Also best to have a membership card as some of the prices on goods very if youre a member. Only down side is when checking out half the time not enough registers open almost 15 to 20min wait skip if your in a hurry..

Descent selection of food but this location always smells awful indicating less than stellar cleaning practices around meat/seafood and dairy where the smell is the worst. It really shouldnt be that difficult to mop properly to reduce the smell

This location usually sells out, or at least doesnt replenish the shelves, on sale items. Everytime I come in it is a slow process to get checked out.

I go to Safeway at the Esplanade mall daily, I thoroughly enjoy the people that work there, marked down pastries, lots of bargains

I always find expired food on the shelves. I bought frozen breakfast sandwiches last week and noticed it expired in 2015
