Ive had bad experiences here as a member of WIC. I was new to WIC, and they started me off telling me one thing about the baby food, and then FOUR MONTHS later they suddenly changed and treated me like I was a liar when I asked about it, explaining what had happened every trip since. Processing WIC transactions can be a pain, since the checker has to run each check as an individual purchase. So, to help them out, I used my reusable bags to divide the groceries up per check: all produce together, eggs, cheese, and bananas together, etc. Most tellers who checked me out appreciated the effort. Then I got the checker from hell. She started off treating me like I was some sort of free loader because I used WIC. Then she dumped out all my stuff, mixed it up, and then proceeded to complain about what a pain it was checking out WIC people and how long it took. I was mortified. I pay my taxes, thank you very much. I dont smoke, do any kind of drug and dont drink! Not only that, but the store gets reembursed by the government for all the WIC stuff, so I wasnt, as she implied, stealing from Safeway!!! (Thankfully, the three ladies behind me in line had all been WIC moms! So the only person who had a problem with all of it was the teller!) Because she was taking SO long, my 8 month old started to fuss, and she got pissed off about that, too. Im sorry. Hes TEETHING, for crying out loud. He has a wet diaper, is bored, AND theres a scary lady glaring at him and Mommy. That day was the straw that broke the camels back. Im taking my business to Ukiah, where I can get better prices, better options, AND better service!

Of all the Safeway stores I havebeenin this is the worst!! My reasons are as follows: 1. Items are discontinued without notice. 2. When the milk shelves become empty at noon time the stock is not replenished automatically. Someone has to be told. 3. After 8 or 9 pm there is only 1 checker available most of the time. 4. The wait at the deli is way too long and no continuity in the bakery. 5. Prices are constantly going up. This is a very small country town without a lot of options, and it seems safeway is taking advantage of that. This town is 75% retirees and senior citizens on fixed Incomes. I have to go to several stores because its cheaper for me. I feel Safeway should adhere to the surrounding community.

Safeways PayPower Card is a SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!! I loaded 1500.00 on three cards on 10/6/2010 its now 10 14 2010 and I still dont have access to my funds. The clerk at customer service said it was easy and I could have as many PayPower Visa cards as I needed. Its now 10/14/2010 and still no credit on my three PayPower Visa Cards. When I called PayPower they told me that Safeway would refund my money, so I went to Safeway they told me that PayPower visa will refund my money. I have talked with several PayPower reps and supervisors and everyone there have different stories still waiting. Dont get a prepaid visa from SAFEWAY LAKEPORT. !!! i ALSO FOUND OUT THAT SAFEWAY OWNS PAYPOWER VISA

Its too expensive. I rarely go there. The lines are so long and it takes too long to get to a checker to buy two things. The employees and managers can see how long the lines are and they wont call up any checkers to help. The isles are being blocked. A lot of people shop there. I find most of their prices too high. Their meat prices are outrageously high. Wont buy any meat items. I dont like the fact that if you want to get something on sale, you have to use a card so they can track what youre buying. These large corporate stores are out to make their money. Customer service doesnt matter anymore.

Some of the staff here are really great. But for most of the safe their customer service is just lacking. Especially in the deli area but across the store you can tell people are not happy there. And they dont keep their unhappiness to themselves either. The vegetables are awful. I havent purchased a cucumber from them in years because theyre always going bad. The fruit flies around the tomato area are disgusting. And this occurs year round, not just in the spring after a rain. But this store is really our only choice, otherwise I would go elsewhere.

Ive known Justis for years hes always been the light of my day whenever I saw him. Hes kind warm hearted and funny hes always helped me out whenever I needed it even at safeway. All those bad revews about him are just him simply doing his job to the best of his knowledge or ability. Such poorly selfish heard headed people these days. Stop trying to ruin someones life just because youre being stubborn about everything.

Wide variety, lots of organic options, prices are a bit high but that seems to be the case everywhere. They have a great bakery with fresh baked bread and desserts made daily. They also have a Starbucks inside the store and a Wells Fargo bank. There are 4 self checkouts, which can be more convenient at times and there is also a Hallmark, CVS, shoe store and Subway in the same shopping center.

This is a great addition to Lakeport there are other smaller groceries that should not be forgotten lest they be put out of business but for good deals and a brand new expensive layout with fine quality and great parking areas you cant beat it but lets not forget the little guys once in awhile competition keeps the prices low

Whenever I go into Starbucks I make sure Justis makes my drink. He always does a good job and is smiling. I also personally know him and this other review on here was made purely out of frustration because the customer was called out. Justis is a good worker and I will continue to shop at the Lakeport Safeway because of him.

For those rating Starbucks on the Safe way rating...thats not the correct thing to do...this is for Safeway...I love Safeway...in fact, I used to work there. I love the promotions and sales. This store is always clean and the cashiers are friendly. Ive made many lifelong friends from my time working at this Safeway.

Absolutely love this safeway. 90% of all the employees, greet, smile, and are very helpful. Great sushi!! Overall great deli. The safeway bread is delicious and made fresh several times a day, and is way cheaper than the name brand. The Bucher department has the most helpful staff.

I didnt like anything about it! I went in to Starbucks to get a frappuccino, the manager taking our orders was super nice, the kid who made them was RUDE!!! His name was Justis and because of him I will no longer ever go into the lake port Safeway!

The produce department is awesome. They have a great variety of organics. Also very helpful produce guy Brad. He helped by answering questions, was courteous, and even helped me find the dressings which wasnt even hi department.

When I go to Starbucks and see Justis behind the counter, I know that my drink will be right, my order filled quickly, and he always has a smile. Hes great! Im actually more inclined to get a coffee if I see that hes there.
