Tom Madison (owner) is the type of retailer one always hopes to run into (and so rarely does) at any establishment where money, in large amounts or small, is going to change hands. He is extremely knowledgeable about clocks and watches in particular (that has been my primary experience with him) and is not only willing to educate the customer but seems to take genuine pleasure in doing so. His enthusiasm for his products is completely sincere. When you buy a timepiece from Tom, you come out of the store feeling confident that you have bought what you wanted and needed even if what you bought was something different than you thought you wanted upon arriving. I have dealt with Tom for about four years now and even though I dont always buy something from him, he almost always makes time to continue my education when needed.

I spent many years working in the Jewelry business. When I moved to Portland I looked for a safe place to take my jewelry. I wanted a goldsmith and watch maker that keep their repairs in house. I have seen and heard horror stories about jewelry and watching being lost in the mail. At Crown, Tony is the goldsmith and Tom is the watch maker. Both men have fixed my belonging and I have been thrilled with their workmanship. The girls out front have also impressed me. Especially when they remember my name when I come in every few months. Trustworthy is the best words to describes this place.

Have taken my jewelry repairs here for years. The do excellent work, give honest opinions and offer opinions/options to help fit budgets....and do their work in house. I also love that they take the time to discuss my repairs showing they value their customers and their concerns. I think theyre very affordable when compared to big name jewelry stores. I only trust Tony to repair our wedding rings and other jewelry. So glad we found them years ago. He does outstanding work and I agree that they are very honest and helpful. Im a jewelry designer but dont set stones or do the repairs. Therefore, I refer all my clients to Crown Jewelers knowing my clients will be taken care of and will be very satisifed with the service they receive.

All of my jewelry business has been done here for the last 10 years. Tony designed a unique and stunning wedding ring for me. My husband purchased the perfect wedding band too. The service has always been friendly, and the prices extremely reasonable. I refuse to go anywhere else, and I truly hope they never retire!

I got my wifes engagement ring here and these guys were extremely helpful and honest. Gave me a great price on a very nice diamond and even though I live in Los Angeles, made it work out smoothly. Highly recommended if you want a place that really knows what theyre doing.
