The place Always has new treasures waiting to be found, & despite my low income & eclectic taste - I found engagement rings that were PERFECT! (We both got one.) Lars was particularly wonderful, & its not all jewelry - something for the special inside everyone. <3 this place! 02/15 <<<<>>>><<<<>>>><<<<>>>> :UPDATE: 02/17 We thought it would be nice to go back for some new rings and perhaps a few other trinkets as well. I tried to get their attention for almost five minutes as I waited outside one of the jewelry cases. Finally I decided it wasnt the jewelry for me and we moved on. At another jewelry case the same thing happened. It then happened at a third, at a trinket case, at a case of semi-precious stones, and at a fourth jewelry case where we waited particularly long because it was the one we had gotten our original rings at. They werent busy, they were looking at pictures of a customers dog on her phone, talking to a customer about the weather, and one was just standing there eating. We felt so blatantly ignored that we chose not to get the other things wed picked up and to not go back. 02/28/17

I cannot speak highly enough of this place. A tad eclectic, but once you get past the overload of extreme cool and beautiful things, time to go treasure hunting. The staff is always helpful and if they dont know, they either check around or look it up, no egos of "all-knowledge". Its kind of nice to hear someone just admit they dont know on occasion. From beautiful custom made jewelry to mythic statuary, nicknacks to tarot decks, I am always finding new things to look at, to learn about or to just buy and take home; Gold Door has become a must-go every time Im in Hawthorne.

So much cool stuff. So much art. Great mix of theological artifacts, furniture, rocks and jewelry (among other things) from across the globe, as well as local artists. Prices vary greatly from good deals to more expensive, comparably, so you got to shop, which you Will enjoy. Dont forget to go downstairs and see what other great worldly finds you can buy at the space they sublet to other worldly travelers selling their wares.

This is a cool place to find unique jewerly. Their selection is pretty big and really pretty. The prices are a little high, but you definitely get what you pay for. All the pieces Ive gotten there have been some of my favorite pieces in my collection. Perfect if youre shopping for that hard to shop for person!

Over the past 11yrs, Ive found all my jewelry desires at this store. From dainty little silver rings to mega large pendants. When I want UNIQUE, I head to The Gold Door. It never stopped at jewelry....the art is another pleasure. Theres indigenous art grin around the world.

Good Door did an absolutely amazing repair job on my vintage Mexican silver ring that had tragically snapped in half! Really excellent craftsmanship-- it looks good as new. Another repair shop said it couldnt be done, so I was delighted to find this place!

This place is Awesome! Great collection of gifts from around the world. I came here looking for mexican folk art shadow boxes and they had just what I was looking for and more. I will definitely return to spend more time exploring their treasures
