The store in general is clean and orderly and everyone is pretty friendly and helpful with one exception. The deli department. I went there a week and a half ago to get some deli ham and turkey. I stood at the counter for about 5 minutes while three employees stood at the register talking. One of them appeared to be from the bakery. One of the other women she would be right there and continued to B.S. with the other two. In the mean time a customer came to the register to buy something and they helped her right away. I am still waiting. I went to the register and asked for help, got what I wanted and left. Tonight I went to the service deli and no body was there at all. I stood there for at least five or six minutes and then finally a asian gentlemen came in put on an apron and got what I wanted. He did not look happy and could not speak very good english. He also told the lady behind me he couldnt help her because he could not make cuts so she could not get what she wanted. I hope something gets done about this, i know if the Safeway brass came in for inspection, this level of service would not fly.. Dear Safeway Canby: Fix your problem !!!

Clean and well-organized, typical prices and friendly staff. However, the lines are often long and theres no self-checkout. They dont often open more than 3 check-out lanes even during peak business hours, which can be really frustrating when you have impatient young children with you. On the plus side, they have the best kind of kid-friendly carts IMO: the kind where kids sit right in front of whoevers pushing the cart but the cart itself isnt any longer overall than a standard cart. Much better than the unwieldy oversized kid carts at Target, for example.

Long lines poor quality costumer service with cans long lines machine none of them work and coustrrmer service when asked cant seem to find it in thier job parameters to do so I think this store had a little more feed back and accountability this would be a great store but for now needs a lot of shift meetings and incentives for the employees to work better together as the 5 stars team we all know they can be bit something just not right thank you

Went in for a roast chicken and they were all so overdone they nearly looked like theyd been cooked in a house fire. The checker was a bit of a loon, yammering about his guns and that ty hey were so extreme that Texas wouldnt allow them there and the they were all military issue... I tried not to engage the guy especially when he was saying he wished he could bring them to work. Totally surreal experience.

This was not the best Safeway experience. The staff either ignored me or were so overly friendly as to almost be creepy! Worst of all, this particular store does not have a section for gluten free like other Safeways! Instead you have to hunt and search to see if they even had a particular product which they most often didnt! I found 1 out of 5 things on my list. It was truly disappointing.

Check out can be slow at times need more checkers. I like that they have $5.00 Friday on different items each week. They have a reward program to where you can save up to a dollar a gallon on gas.They are over priced on alot of items. Shop the sale prices because the next week different items save money that way.

Typical Safeway, aside from the fact that theres no wifi and zero mobile connectivity from inside the store. This renders the Just For U features or mobile app completely worthless. Add complimentary wifi and you would gain 3 stars for me personally.

Been to many safeways and our most common problem is theres only one or two checkstands open and no self checkout. I didnt notice if this location had self checkout but there were plenty of checkstands open and no lines. :)

Small location with a fairly plain staff, not very focused on customer service. Not much variety. I prefer going to Thriftway or Fred Meyer for my Canby shopping.
