Wanted to see how this company would value my diamond ring. The security guard led me around the corner where I sat while my ring was inspected in front of me. The gentleman asked me if I had any grading documents on the stone, I told him no, which isnt true but I wanted to see how they would grade my 2 carat round diamond. They state that they are GIA certified, so they SHOULD know. He examined the ring under the microscope, did the white styrofoam cup exam to inspect the color of the gem. He thought he saw color, indeed it does have some color, I knew that when i purchase the stone in 1997. Yes I bought the stone had it mounted 19 years ago to the day, todays date. I purchase this GIA graded stone for which I have the paperwork in my possession from my brother who at the time owned a jewelry store in New Mexico. He recommended this particular stone because of the value. It is mounted in a yellow gold setting and anything with less color was a waste of money. His words not mine. For the record the stone is 2.01 carats VS1 I. The gentleman never told me the weight of the stone but I think he did scribble VS1 perhaps VS2 on the pad on the table. I believe the color range he wrote was K-L which is laughable! Seriously I did all I could to keep from laughing out loud! I think I did pretty good, maybe I should play poker professionally. Lets get back to when the gentleman thought he saw some color in the stone, but thought his fluorescent shirt..and yes it was very bright, was interfering with him seeing the proper color. His female associate examine it at this time. She maybe a pleasant woman, but I think I must have been invisible at that particular time. She sat down looked at the ring under the microscope never said hello, or smiled or even glance at me. She went back to where the gentleman was perusing the latest Rapaport issue on the computer and said something to him. He came back and gave me a rather LOW, no rather about it, it was a LOW offer. I never had any intention of selling the ring, I purchased the ring for my fiance while she was suffering with ovarian cancer. She only had the opportunity to wear the ring while in hospice...it doesnt have a scratch on it. It is worth more to me than any amount of $$$, but I wanted to see what they would offer just the same. Perhaps I came in on a bad day, not friendly at all. Maybe they are stocked up on gems at this time. Your experience may turn out more pleasant, I sure hope so. Reading the reviews on google they appear to have many satisfied customers. I originally rated my experience 1 star, but have decide 2 stars is probably more appropriate. They did measure the stone with jewelry calipers, and wrote the measurement down on the pad. Although the gentleman never mentioned the carat weight, the dimensions I saw him write down were accurate. Clarity of VS1 is correct and as I mentioned he wrote either VS1 or VS2. The color of the stone is where he missed the mark by quite a bit. I saw one review where a another gentleman appears to have had a similar experience. His stone was appraised H-I and I believe they told him it was K-L. For those of you not versed in diamonds, there is a HUGE price difference between this range of scale.

The jewelry buying company of tulsa has been my go to spot for the last few years. Being a young buyer seller "treasure hunter" I was ignorant to the fact that some of these other shops around tulsa had been giving me what seemed like lower than should be values. One day after leaving a store just down the street whos commercials had said "highest pay out" I received a very low quote on a piece that I knew for a fact was of worth, thes gentleman were more so playing on my ignorance . So angrily leaving there I drive by the jewelry buying Co decide to go in to see what they would offer... it was three times the amount of the first store, I was in shock that someone had tried to rip me off that bad. Ever since then Ive gone to jewelry buying Co its quick proffecional, youll leave with a smile a laugh, and the actual worth of your piece. I deffinetly recommend this company to others its the one and only in town that I feel prides itself on being honest. 10 out of 10. Id give them a sixth star If I could.

First, I would like to start off by saying to not be swayed by the poor review that J. Winters left below. If you look at his other reviews, none of them have been above a 2 star review. Quick to pass judgement. Now for my review. I worked with Leah because I was referral to her by a local jeweler. I was having an issue fighting against a internationally-known diamond seller that scammed me into buying a diamond that was misrepresented and worth less than half what was paid. Leah took time to explain every aspect of diamond grading to me and readied me with a diamond report that proved that the diamond was not as described. Because of her report, I was able to get a full refund after over a month of disputing with that company. She obviously takes pride in her work and kept me from falling victim to a company that has scammed so many! Her diamond report was very well done, and I owe her big time! Thank you, Leah!

I needed to get rid of my old wedding ring set and other jewelry I hadnt worn in over a decade. The Jewelry Buying Co. was my first stop to see what my jewelry was even worth nowadays. They were polite and very professional from start to finish. I ended up visiting 3 other jewelry and gold buyers, and none of them were even close to what The Jewelry Building Co. offered me. The "other guys" really didnt seem interested in my business in the first place. I thought it was funny that one of the largest jewelry buyers in town wouldnt even budge from their offer even after I showed them what The Jewelry Buying Co. had offered me in the first place. They almost seemed in shock that The Jewelry Buying Co. had beaten their offer for some reason. Im very happy with the money I got from my old jewelry and I plan on going back as soon as I get the chance.

I recently sold an engagement ring to Paul with this company, and while it was not an easy experience to go through a break up and then to get less than half of what I originally paid for the ring, Paul gave me 50% more than the highest offer Id gotten from any of the other diamond, gold and gem buyers around the city. I also had the ring listed on a nationwide diamond market website for some time as well as on craigslist, and never got any offers close to what Paul gave me. He even paid me a little extra when he learned that I had all the original paperwork, certificate, etc., which he didnt have to do since Id already accepted his initial offer. Really friendly and professional staff in a clean and modern environment. Id highly recommend them to anyone looking to sell!
