I had a good experience! A friend had recommended the shop so I went looking for a gender neutral bike for my niece; I picked a cute blue, orange & white bike with black tires. Now because of my "germaphobia" and touch of OCD I didnt want one of the bikes from the floor so I asked Kyle, the associate assisting me, if I could get one straight from the box. He was able to find one & although it was late & close to closing time, Kyle took the time to put my bike together & made sure it didnt touch the ground :-). He checked it for balance & made sure every nut & bolt was safely secured which made me feel confident giving it to my niece (love of my life). The only suggestion for the company is to maybe have more of a selection for helmets, bells, knee & elbow pads; nothing matched the bike I chose lol. Kyle is pretty awesome. Just saying. Going there for my bike. Great Warranty. Just for the readers: Found out her dad had already bought her a bike months ago & for the party I had given her a second selection: a "Frozen" bike from Toy R Us (only because she watches this movie daily & for her last birthday I bought her tons of frozen gear); she went with Anna. Girls!!! lol I was going to let her keep both but my family told me that was too excessive; and now looking back, it was. Too much info. First review.

Im sure they do great work on new bikes, but I had a bad experience. Everything they did turned out to make my bike worse, and it cost me $70. I took my 87 Lotus here so they could install my back brake and cable (I was missing a screw), fix my shifters, replace my shifting cables, and place the adjusting screw into the rear derailer (the bike was missing some things). This is what happened. The brake was put on incorrectly, they "fixed" my shifters, replaced only one cable because they did not have the screw for the rear derailer (was told this is a very rear and specialized piece). When I got home I tested the one gear they did fix. It was not tightened enough and ended up stripping the cable. The shifter was clearly installed incorrectly and was making a weird noise. I took my bike to Blazing Saddle and found out the brake was put on incorrectly, both shifters were installed incorrectly, the front derailer was way too high. Also, that "rear" screw for my back derailer was a standard screw that is used on many bikes. Blazing Saddles turned my 87 Lotus into a brand new bike. Like I said they probably do great work on new bikes, and the people working there are very friendly, but if your bike is older dont waste your $.

I bought a cheapy bike from walmart because it was all I could afford at the time. Understandably, things started to break down. I took the bike to a shop close to my house for minor repairs and the man there refused to even look at it (because it was from walmart) and tried to sell me a bike I could not even afford. When I took it into Performance, Brad was very helpful and was confident he could fix the bike so it was comfortable and safe. Another gentleman helped me look at a bike, which I really liked, and was in NO WAY pushy or overbearing. Leo, the store manager, was also very welcoming and friendly. I will absolutely buy my next bike from performance and highly recommend this particular store because of the GREAT customer service.

Wife had terrible experience today! --- old man sales rep says the following to my wife during her visit (she went there to buy shoes and cleats) -- its almost unbelievable!: “Do you NOT understand anything about this stuff?” Repeatedly says “Are you understanding what I’m saying?” Repeatedly says “Is this too much information for you?” “What does your husband think of all this? ...because he might have some strong opinions about this” “I used to ride a tandem bike because my wife couldn’t keep up, and I could do the heavy lifting” “Do you understand the benefit of getting these?” referring to the cleats and shoes.

This is the best LBS there is in East Cleveland area. Customer service is topmost. Alicia and the bike mechanic (sorry i forgot his name, ill supply his name next time) are the best in assisting customers. This bike shop has discounts on top of discounts, bikes or components. You should also see the clearance section for the clothings theyre almost half priced. Inquire about their point system. Youll buy the bike and then you can buy helmets, water bottles and tools the day after with your points. GREAT BRAND BIKES ARE CHEAPEST HERE!

GREAT PLACE TO BUY A BIKE, JUST DONT LET THEM TOUCH IT AFTER YOU WALK OUT THE DOOR. i had them fix a blown hyd. brake line, once i got out the door i rode it to the car and the line blew again, they didnt even test ride it. they rubbed off all the graphic on the brake lever and cut up my carbon handlebars rotating the brake while the clamp was still tight. well they can keep my $30 because i dont want them to make it worse trying to fix it.

stopped by on Sunday and was ready to drop $1,000 on a bike, stood in front of the bikes for 10 minutes while nobody helped me. there were several workers standing at the front and back counter talking to themselves (other workers not customers) and nobody offered help. there was an old guy walking around collecting signage and he walked right by me. so i left and will not shop there again, your loss performance.

I was selling a bike on Craigslist for my parents and noticed just before I was supposed to meet the buyer that the brake cable for the front left handle bar came loose. I fiddled with it and then called Matt at the shop who told me to bring it by. The buyer followed me to the shop. Someone else in the repair area took care of it in 30 seconds or less. Always a great experience!

Dear friends at Performance: Please stop advertising hours of operation on your website that you DO NOT HONOR in your store. It causes people to MAKE A 20-MINUTE TRIP TO DISCOVER YOU ARE CLOSED! Otherwise, a good shop with friendly staff and an unbeatable selection and good prices on everything - except (ironically enough) bikes.

They (Alicia) helped me pick a bike that is right for me. Great fitting, they (Anthony) are very patient and experienced. Also, their mechanics (Aaron) are very good. Overall, I would go there for anything related to bikes and would recommend this location for others too.

These are the best people for a bike shop that you could ever imagine. They spent hours with me to find the right bike, including size and everything else involved, so that Id be satisfied with the purchase. Love these guys, and wont go anywhere else.

I ordered a bike online and had it delivered to the store. It was one of the nicest experiences Ive ever had in a bike shop. Very friendly and helpful staff, they made the entire experience delightful from beginning to end.
