There is so much to tell I am not sure where to begin. I contacted Alex about getting my 2000 Klein Quantum in purple haze repainted. Over the years this exceptional bike had accumulated scratches and chips all over the frame. I decided that this bike rode too well to get rid of and deserved to look better than it did. Once I contacted Alex he encouraged me to bring it by to discuss the options. So on a day off I set out on the hour and forty-five minute drive to have him look. While there we discussed the options. I had originally wanted to keep the purple haze color, but because of the cost of the paint it was not an option I could afford. Alex was extremely patient and allowed me as much time as needed to select a color that I would like. He offered his opinions and ideas throughout the process. We eventually decided the bike would look awesome in a matte black with yellow Klein logos. He kept in contact with me the whole time and sent pictures of the bike as it went through the paint booth. Now while Alex was working hard on making my bike awesome I was unfortunately having some repair bills popping up depleting the money I had saved up for this. I let Alex know and he told me he understood and would hold on to it until I got the money. This took me over a month to recoup the money needed. Today I finally got to go pick it up and wow the bike looks amazing now. He did such a great job with the whole thing. Not only did he repaint it, but he replaced all the cables, re-gripped the handlebars, and re-did all the bearings and re-greased everything. The biggest surprise though is when he was painting the bike he noticed my carbon fork was cracked in two places. (Needless to say I was lucky it never gave out on me) When he noticed this he replaced the fork and did not raise the price on me. That was an amazing surprise and just awesome customer service. Alex did such a great job that I would consider making him my bike shop for all my needs even though he is almost 2 hours from my house. If you have not checked him out yet you definitely should. If you have a bike that you love but needs a little TLC take it to him! He will make it look brand new. Seriously cant say enough. An absolute amazing job by and awesome guy.

This place sucks and the (foreign)guy is a COMPLETE LIAR. I guess I should have listened to my intuition when I thought to take a video of my bike before I handed it off. I also should have REALLY listened when the guy comes up in an unmarked truck and other bikes are just thrown on the back of it. He didnt even respect the scheduled time to come and pick-up the bike. Nevertheless, on to my issue. My bike was basically in perfect condition when he got it from me. Thing is I hadnt rode the bike in awhile and it was stored outside. The tires were flattened and even when I pumped them up they constantly needed to be repumped so I figured the tune-up would be perfect. I guess me being a woman he thought I wasnt wise enough to inspect my freaking bike beforehand. He emails me the next day saying he changed the inner-tubes(without my permission first) and that the derail was broken and needed to be fixed costing an additional $40. Probably to his surprise I said no to the service. I get the bike back and the part he is saying is broken you can clearly see that some type of cutters were used to cut it. There is no way a human could have broken it even by accident. It was an absolute intentional damage. I told the foreign guy in the white truck this and he bascially argued with me saying that he hadnt done it and he is the only one in the shop. He couldnt even keep up with his lies, one moment he says he didnt inspect the bike before he took it the next moment he says it was damaged beforehand. Are you freaking kidding me? We both literally stood there looking at the bike and talking about it before he took it and he even acknowledged that it was a good bike in good shape and the only thing he said he was going to do was to put air in the tires. He then has the audacity to ask me for money. Last time I checked you dont build a clientele by robbing them. Also, as a business if I say that this is an issue of your fault you should be willing to work with me to get it resolved instead of going back and forth with me for a lousy $40. Karma will come back on you good mr

I normally dont write reviews, but this experience was so bad that other needs to know to avoid this place. Took in my mountain bike for the first time for a tune up (had a Groupon). Owner took my bike without asking for ANY information.Told him it was shifting a bit rough and the hydraulic brakes were loose and had too much "play". I asked, "dont you want my name and contact info?" "Nope, I got your bike if you want it back." This should have been the first red flag. Came back 6 days later to pick my bike up, and it was chained up OUTSIDE covered with dirt and pollen in a group of other bikes. I dont store my bike outside (its a $1,000 bike), and to see it outside in the elements and with the possibility of being stolen was a bit shocking. Red flag #2. The owner then preceded to tell me he was unable to fix the brakes after attempting to bleed them at least 3 times and asked me if the bike was old, suggesting I needed new brake pads. The bike is only 6 months old with less than 100 miles on it and it CLEARLY did not need new brake pads. Red flag #3. He then told me this is why most people use cable brakes. I am not a bike expert but I know that many high-end bikes have hydraulic brakes and they have certain advantages (although harder to maintain). Well what could I say at this point (at least I thought he tried to fix it). Worst part is that when I got home and test road the bike, it would not even downshift to the small chain ring (instead just making a horrible clacking noise). Even when I took it in, it would at least shift into all 24 gears (now I have only 16 gears). So essential I paid to have my bike sit outside in the rain and get dirty and then operate WORSE than when I brought it in! What kind of quality check was done? I contemplated calling to complain, but I did not feel comfortable taking my bike back. Maybe I got poor service because I had a Groupon? Regardless, I will not be going back and advise other to stay away and not be tempted by the good price of the Groupon.

When I was looking for a bike one of my friends told me about a bike shop on Phillips Highway. So I walked into the Bicycle Clinic and I was amazed of the quality of bikes and the restored bikes that were there in the shop too. This was not the bike shop that my friend told me about but I`m so happy that I went into this one. When Alex noticed me he asked me to get a coffee or a cold drink. He asked me where I ride and what I ride, I felt very relaxed and comfortable. Alex made sure he gave me 100% attention and was very professional as he described what he does here at the shop. His prices were very reasonable for the bikes and repairs. So I ended up buying a Hybrid Villano. I love the bike, I`ve had it for over a year now and Alex maintains it for me and does an excellent job on tune ups, and other repairs. So I started doing some more road biking and Alex hooked me up with a road bike to start out with (cheap) great deal. I really started to like the rode riding so I moved up to another bike that Alex set me up with. So I really, really, really started liking the road riding so Alex and I got together and we came up with the 2014 Schwinn rode bike. If you look at the Bicycle Clinic web page and you see the Blue and Orange (Gator Colors) rode bike, that bike is in my garage, all mine. I highly recommend Alex, (The Bicycle Clinic) to anyone that is looking to buy, restore or need repairs done to any bike. Thank you Alex for helping me and being such a professional in all aspects. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE BICYCLE CLINIC, NO DOUBT !!!!!!!!!!
