I am sitting here honestly trying to piece together the absolute best words to describe the service and help I received today. Beverly the owner, her husband, and staff are real people who didnt just provide great service but also understood me as a customer and she went beyond what any place I have dealt with have gone to make a customer happy. Second to none! Just to say the least. I wouldnt recommend anyone else! The attention and care that was given to my computer issues still has me replaying todays event their and feeling great with my transaction. You can be an average daily user of computers and know your way around many things but there will always be an issue you cant resolve unless you are an expert... with that said Pak Computers thank you! You are my new experts and I do appreciate what you have been able to do for me today! I hope whoever reading this if nothing else just stop by the place and ask whatever question that it is you have and just see the type of assistance and expertise you receive. I would venture to say it would be nothing less than what I received today as I am a hard customer to satisfy. That is why I took the time out to actually write this review. It has been well earned!

I recently purchased over $50.00 of merchandise to hook up 2 monitors to my laptop. The "tech" told me what to buy and it would work. Unfortunately the parts did not even hook up together so I was unable to even try it. I did find out today that the parts he gave me to purchase would not have worked either way. I tried to take back the products for a refund, but I had lost my receipt so they said they couldnt return it. I found my receipt 2 days later and now they want to charge a 20% restocking fee because I was past 7 days. The manager states the owner of the company will not authorize the return or honor the fact that I came in within 7 days. I have requested the owner to call me 3 separate times and left my number. I am not even sure the owner knows that the employee gave me the parts. I did not come in an tell him what I needed, he told me what to use. I cant help but feel I am being ripped off.

Ive never written a review on Google before, but I had to about this place. Ive worked for big tech companies, educational institutions, and small computer shops throughout my years in I.T., so I know a scam when I see one. I went into this shop to find some parts for a build I was working on for my nephew. Without talking to anyone past the usual "What are you looking for today?" pleasantries, I took one look at their pricing on services and walked out the door. I wasnt even in the market for a service of any kind, but anyone that charges hundreds of dollars for a virus removal, a hard drive replacement, or even an OS reformat is a total scam artist that I will not do business with, and you shouldnt either. Were talking north of $250 for a job that should take an hour. The only people that probably give business to this place are elderly folks that just dont know any better.

Ive had three dealings with PAK. The first I needed a power supply for a homebuild. I needed a certain connector that they did not have, but after many reassurances they convinced me that a 4-pin (instead of 8-pin) would work. Even though I was sure it wouldnt I do know that Im a computer rookie, so I went with it. I also bought a Windows 7 CD. I dont know what was on the burnt CD they gave me, but I can assure you it was not Windows. Since I live out of town I called and asked if my mom could return the parts for me. I double checked that all she needs is the receipt. After an assurance that it will all work, she took the parts in and then found out that my card was needed to swipe for the refund. Ugh. Although I love local business, this place has felt a little scammy from the start. I know longer trust their word nor their knowledge.

I have never been more disgusted in my entire life. Everything in this store is overpriced (even best buy is cheaper), and their tech services are a complete ripoff (again best buy is cheaper). You could buy two new computers for the price they charge to fix anything more than a simple tuneup (which is also way overpriced). How anyone could become WORSE and MORE EXPENSIVE than the geek squad is beyond me. Ill take my business elsewhere. EDIT: To the response to the owner. I am not a former employee. How professional is it for you to take an honest review such as mine and blame it on a "former employee"? Maybe focus more on providing honest services to people instead of overcharging for everything.

Im frustrated with this shop. They sold me a video card and it turns out the video card that was in the box was a different part number than what the box showed. Turns out the actual card only had half the memory. Amendment to the above review. I returned to the shop the following day and the issues were rectified in a satisfactory manner. Im sure now it was an honest mistake. I do recommend Pak Computers to my friends because they are part of our community and deserve our support when ever feasible. I would rather deal with a real person instead of a website based out of China.

PAK Computers is a complete embarrassment. They are way overpriced. They buy laptops from Best Buy or Walmart and mark them up to sell in their store by A LOT. All of their repair parts are also marked up a ridiculous amount. You can have your computer repaired way cheaper elsewhere. This is a store ran by greedy people that have completely changed what once was a great local shop before it was sold.

I found the staff to be very polite & patient with me (an elderly customer). I do not have a "tech geek" vocabulary. I described issues & was assisted with guidance until the staff figured out what problem I was trying to describe. They gave me an estimate & called me to advise me of additional cost for parts before going ahead with the repair...No surprises! Reasonable fees.

I wish i could leave a 0 star review. This place is terrible. After reading these reviews I am happy I am not the only one who feels that way. For all of you that remember PAK, THIS IS NOT THE SAME COMPANY!!!! New owners bought the place a few years ago and turned a nice local business that was there to help people into the GARBAGE it is today. Take your money elsewhere.

This place overcharges by so much. Virus removal shouldnt cost that much. Nothing they do should cost what it does. Clearly greedy people. Ill take my business elsewhere and I suggest you do the same.

Edit: I have no desire to punish this business and wish only to warn potential customers by telling them how I feel about them. I feel they deserve 0/5 stars, but sadly, that wasnt an option.

Mike at PAK Computers spent numerous hours cleaning up a virus & reinstalling files. The customer service was superb & I would highly recommend them. He went over and above what I expected.
