I agree with all the other excellent reviews, but have to add that Beechwood Hardware strives to be competitive with prices also, unusual for a smaller business. Several times, theyve even given me small things for free, with no additional purchase. They understand that does bring customers back. Great, knowledgeable help and they know about older homes. Ive found things there that I couldnt find anywhere else. For a small store, their service range is great (lawnmower maintenance, tool and knife sharpening, screen installation, pipe-cutting, etc.). And no, they did not pay me for this review...a customer for almost 30 years!

Awesome service that the other hardware stores cant beat. They have an amazing base of knowledge for any project you want advice on. Ive gone in there and theyve been able to answer questions I had from blacksmithing to woodworking and other projects. They also have some really good deals on claps, grit paper(they sell them by the sheet for like a dollar a piece! From 60 to 1500 grit if I remember correctly), tool handles, and a bunch of other things. So yeah definitely my go to shop for tool buying(except for fletching drill bits, Lowes has an amazing deal on those).

The staff were super friendly. I came in to get the screws I needed to put my license plate on after an auto parts store didnt have the correct ones. I didnt really know what I needed, but the staff were helpful and never condescending. The employee who helped me took a look at my car, grabbed what he thought we needed, and then actually put the plates on for me to make sure it was what I needed before charging me for the screws. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for fast, friendly, knowledgeable service.

This hardware store has all the best qualities you could hope for - staff who are friendly and knowledgeable, great selection of products, long hours, neighborhood feel... They have had solid advice on projects for me, and are also willing to be upfront when they cant solve something. This location also has a fabulous storm window and screen repair shop! No matter how old your storm windows/screen are. I had four screens replaced and hardware repaired.

Combination of a shockingly complete inventory and superb service makes this one of my go-tos for home improvement projects. Lost a star because key copies have never worked for us the first time :( - they are happy to remake them, but its just too much hassle. Come here for everything but keys :) You will save so much time with their helpful staff vs wandering around Menards/Lowes for an hour trying to find someone to help.

I have been in Beechwold Hardware at least a hundred times, and nine times out of ten, they have the item Im looking for! The staff actually knows what they are talking about, and if you have a problem with something, theyll switch it out or fix it or return it for you. I have never been disappointed choosing Beechwold Hardware over Lowes. Why do I still go to Lowes at all?

The best hardware store in the area. This place consistently has plenty of staff on hand who know what they are talking about and are more than willing to help you find what you are looking for. One of the few real old-school hardware stores left around. Wouldnt go anywhere else for help with around-the-home fixes.

If you need crap buy it from Lowes or Home Depot. If you need expert advice, have an old house, and want the advice to be correct then I would highly recommend Beechwold Hardware. They are honest, local and know what they are doing. They wont steer you wrong. Also, great for recommending contractors too.

Wonderful family owned hardware store with a knowledgeable staff. Each time I go, I typically find what I think I need, then when I explain what my small home project is, they steer me towards a cheaper and better alternative. Cant say enough, they are just fantastic.

I stopped there today after being turned away from a nearby lawnmover repair shop because it had just closed. They took care of my problem right away and charged me virtually nothing for it. It is so rare and so refreshing to see someone who is so customer-focused.

Good people. Good service. A nice change from the big, cookie-cutter chain stores. I will purposefully hold off buying something if I think I can get it from Beechwold later. I grew up during a time when stores like this were the norm and I miss those times.

Locally owned mom and pop hardware store that can hang with the big box stores any day. Its very rare they dont have something I need in stock and the people there know what theyre talking about when it comes to advice on repairs, materials, hardware, etc.
