What do you dislike about it? Share a tip.Over this holiday weekend, my mother told me of her recent experience attempting to purchase furniture in your Akron, Ohio store. I am absolutely appalled by the customer service she was provided. She ordered a sofa from you in early November and by mid-December, it still hadnt arrived. I was NOT happy to hear of how she was treated when she went to the store to obtain a refund. The woman working in the business office that day should receive some sort of disciplinary action. Berating a customer that had paid for her purchase in full is NOT "good" business--especially when YOU, the company is at fault. I am going to get all the details from my mother again--ie dates/names/etc and I will be contacting the corporate office to let my feelings be known to the "higher-ups." After all of the nonsense that went on with her purchase, she was just satisfied that she was reimbursed within a week, but I believe it was settled in bad taste. Believe me, you will be hearing from me again--and you can be assured I will NEVER set foot in your store. In this day and age, when social media is so readily available, word travels incredibly quickly. Please know that any person I come in contact with--whether in person or online, will know of your EXTREMELY POOR business practices.

We purchased a three piece bonded leather sofa and two love seats from Levin Furniture 18 months ago. We paid nearly 2000 for the set on sale. The furniture started to show signs of wear on the arms after about 13 months. We called the manufacturer (Simmons) and they said it was out of warranty so they would not offer us any assistance. We called Levin Furniture who sold us the product. Part of the sales pitch was that iwas as good as leather and probably more durable. While the woman who took our call was friendly, she offered us nothing . She was sorry -- the set was out of warranty --- too bad for us (even though she had the date of purchase pulled up on her screen). She gave us the name of a repair service who could possibly help us but we would have to pay for the repairs. Its important to note that the problems we experienced with this set were due to only NORMAL wear and tear. There are no young children who live in our home. It was n ot destroyed by pets -- The peeling of the material was simply due to the poor quality of the product. Because Levin sold us this piece and then dismissed our complaints (they said it was most likely due to sweat and body fluids!!) we will NEVER shop at any Levin Furniture store again nor will we EVER purchase anything from Simmons.

Stephanie sold us our furniture and she was so great! We had an awesome in store experience and love our furniture. BUT the customer service we received when the furniture was delivered was awful. They barely said a word.. I asked them to put the furniture in certain places and they more or less left it sitting in the middle of my living room so we had to move it. I had stayed up all night carpet scrubbing my living room and they walked into the room with their dirty shoes on and got dirt and leaves everywhere. Im not trying to be ridiculous but seriously? My carpet is white and they had to walk through my dining room first where they had plenty of time to take their shoes off. They didnt ask us to look over it; they set it down asked us to sign and walked out the door. We bought furniture from Ashleys as well and they put the little shoe protectors on and put protectors on the door ways so they wouldnt scratch anything. I was incredibly surprised by how unprofessional Levin was especially for a place that sells such expensive furniture.

Barbara sold us our furniture 4 years ago. She was very lacking in communicating waiting times for certain designs, so we chose to take what they had on the floor rather than have something shipped because the difference was about 10 weeks (which she neglected to tell us prior to us spending hours there picking things out) and we needed furniture. They also screwed up our pillow order, which meant we had to wait for two custom shipments for pillows. No discount for screwing up, no offer to keep the pillows they screwed up while they ordered the correct ones, just a cheap "Im sorry about that". Fast forward to now and we find out that she also lied about the protection plan she sold us. "Covers pet accidents" doesnt mean smells; only stains. You want that cat urine smell out of your cushion? You get to buy a new one. Overall, its about what Id expect given the atmosphere there. We got our last couch from La-Z-Boy and we love it. Were never going back to Levin after all of this.

So after months of research, we decide to buy a Tempurpedic HD mattress. The sales guy was good enough... but then it all falls a part with the delivery. First it was all set to be delivered one week later. A couple days later the sales guy calls and said the foundation was out of stock, did I want to wait for it to be delivered "when the foundation came in?" I said, "of course not, since you dont know when it will come in, bring out the mattress so we can at least use that. Well, someone at the delivery department took the mattress off anyway. We sat around, moved furniture, etc waiting for the mattress. The window of time closed, so I called them and found this all out. At this point, I have no idea when any of it will be delivered. We paid in CASH close to $5000 and have no product. No date of any product being delivered. After reading all the reviews... heaven help us...

It was professionalism at its best. When we came into the Levins, we were just going to look around. But Mr. Lee A. Harris Ii informed us of your special discounts and after which we made a mental plan to purchase as we looked around. He told us if we needed any help to come see him or anyone else on the floor, but no one else said anything to us. So, we stayed and looked and narrowed it down to 2 pleasant leather sets. MR LEE had patience and he helped us compare the 2 prices and qualities. Then he went away again. My husband noticed that he was a sleep specialist and also wanted a new mattress and Mr. Lee patiently helped him with that too. He was very knowledgable about his products and your vendors. We are so happy we stopped by and trust the value of our purchases. I just wanted to take the time to acknowledge his excellent professionalism. He was awesome.

Awful sales experience. Furniture was delivered wrong size for bed frame. Movers couldnt get manager on phone to clarify confusing in order. DO NOT BUY floor model furniture...Was not ready for pickup and I had to go into showroom with an employee and struggle and wrestle a dresser out of the showroom. Noone else in company was willing to help us move the furniture that was supposed to be at loading dock but was never instructed by manager to have ready. While buying my furniture at the check out table a sales person and office staff were having an arguement on which one was at fault for messing up a customers loan for furniture...should of walked right then but had to buy furniture asap for family coming in out of town for the holidays. JUST GO TO WAYSIDE OR ANYWHERE ELSE BUT LEVIN FURNITURE!!!...They are terrible people to deal with.
