Heres what I dont get: The little store always has what I need, I find it MUCH faster than at HD or Lowes, and the help is nearly always instantaneous YET... its an 1/8th the size of HD. Point is, you dont NEED to walk through a lumber yard or miles of kitchen and carpet just to pick up some screws and a saw blade. The organization is so good it encourages you to browse and discover something nifty you never knew existed that just gets lost in the huge stores. I think people will start coming back to these stores despite the higher prices. And thats the only ding I give this place--at times the prices are a good 20% higher on little things like hinges, brackets, and such. Dont let that dissuade you--a terrific local store.

Do NOT rent a carpet scrubber from them. I have been overtly happy with ACE until I rented their carpet cleaner. When I returned it, they said it wasnt clean and wanted 300$ so they can replace the whole thing instead of cleaning it themselves. Then days later I get another call with a completely different story saying it was broken and not working. I tried going in to talk to a manager and get a copy of the contract for my attorney and was given the runaround and told "we dont have the contract anymore. We sent it to corporate" and couldnt show me any contract. Such horrible service and they lost a good customer. I loved them until this incident.

Very professional, knowledgeable and helpful people work here. I always find exactly what I came for and am never disappointed with the great prices. Much better shopping experience than at a big box store.
