Used to be a great place, then they took the focus off the love of books & put it onto the love of money. Heres why I will not be endorsing Barnes & Nobles anymore: Barnes & Nobles just refused to speak to me after I pointed out one of their listings is completely false. Its advertising the book as Volumes 1-10, when its actually issues 1-10. So people buy it, thinking its a great deal for 10 volumes, only to discover that its actually only 1 volume at a price thats 4x the normal amount its sold for! After I contacted them about this & politely pointed it out, their customer support said "Most marketplace sellers are actually really awesome" & then cut off communication. When I tried to reconnect as soon as they knew it was me, they terminated the chat box again. Apparently Barnes & Nobles now facilitates liars & cheaters to gain a little extra money on the side. Definitely not shopping there anymore!

I wish we had more variety for bookstores around here, but I really do like Barnes & Noble so Im definitely not too broken up over it. Theres a couple of used bookstores around that are nice to check out on occasion as well. At B&N though its nice to just take your time browsing, and maybe stumble upon a gem youve never read. Ive never had an issue with staff being overly annoying either which is great... Theyre there ready to help when you need them, but not constantly bugging you while youre on the hunt. Buy a book or two, grab some coffee, relax, and make an experience of it.

Pretty good selection and a very nice store. But, be sure to call before you come looking for a book that their website lists as "in stock" at this location. We came here looking for a book that B&N claimed was on stock here, and after searching for it for 20 minutes they finally located it in the "customer hold" section, and would still be there for several days. So, we were unable to purchase this last copy of the book and made a trip here for nothing based on this.

Was fairly large and had a good selection of rhe mainstream magazines and current best selling publications etc.. I was looking for import tuner car, technology and car audio magazines but there were only a few select titles. Could not find most of my favorites. I was told most of the requests they get are for domestic muscle car magazines etc.. Over all pretty good location right off the main shopping strip on 13th st South Fargo.

Nice decor. Clean building. Polite service. Variety in books, magazines, journals, calendars, etc. Very limiting seating and no where to charge your laptop or phone while you look through books or relax in the Starbucks seating area. This makes it unwelcoming and not want to stay awhile to shop. In the past they did have many seats and plugins for the public. It was wonderful and came to Barnes all the time. I miss those days.

Terrible customer service. Found a book online on the Barnes and noble website and wanted to start reading right away so I went to the brick and mortar store only to find out that they dont match their own pricing online that they do in the store. How stupid! 2017 people. Ordered the book on Amazon for less money even though I tried to buy it locally for more money but guess its their choice.

I needed help in the childrens section and the lady who assisted me was wonderful! But when I got to the checkout, the only things the gentleman said to me were "Is this it?" and "Here you go". No "Hello" or "Thank you". If Im going to make a special trip to Barnes & Noble it would be nice if the person who checked me out looked like theyre happy Im there.

This is a great Barnes & Noble store. It has a fantastic selection of books and magazines, and has a nice Starbucks coffee shop in it as well. In the digital age of books, its always nice to stop here from time to time to see what gems they have. They also have a great selection of discounted books on sale.

A nice space, many book, and great staff willing to show you a good read. The only thing is I wish there was a cozier space to sit down and read here. I know its a book store and not a library but itd be nice. Also they didnt have up to date books on a test I was going to be taking that had a new study guide.

Very nice and peaceful store. Great place to relax and browse books or music and/or grab a cup of coffee and read. Store is very clean, isles are wide and clear of obstructions and selection is excellent. They have a cool gift section too thats always fun to walk through.

Very nice and inviting book store. However, it could stand to physically carry more titles on the shelves than it does, unlike stores in larger urban areas. Sometimes they just say they can order books online for you.

Very impressive atmosphere, quite relaxing. The in store Starbucks is my favorite in town. The service while shopping for books or CDs is nice and I never have a problem finding help when I need it.

Its the most up to date library in Fargo. Browse, read, drink a beverage, converse, be informed and then return the book or magazine. Low cost, good interaction, and relaxing atmosphere.
