I ordered a book from here, very reasonably priced which I was pretty pumped to get. When I got it it looked like the packaging had been friction burned and about half the book was fused together. Not their fault at all, thats the post office and I understand that. I called them and they said they would be happy to replace it if I would bring it in. I made the 2 hour drive from Waco to return the book under the premise it would be EXCHANGED. When I got here I wad told they would have to order another copy and it would be another week. No attempt was made to make up for my losses here. I was planning on starting the adventure for my group on Friday so I offered to buy the damaged copy of the book and made an offer of $5 because I was going to have to steam the pages apart and it would be pretty much worthless after that but it would get me through until the other copy got here. I was told they would have to talk to the manager and he wasnt there. They could have offered expedited shipping or any number of things and I would have been fine. In 20 years of customer service I have never seen a business care less as to how displeased a customer was. 2nd and Charles is a much better store.

Half Price Books is almost always where I go to find books. My thing is that I never know exactly what Im looking for, so the reduced price for used books allows me to select and purchase multiple books on the same subject for my budget. During this particular visit, I bought a total of 5 books at discounted prices, which reduced the chances of not selecting the book which best suited my interest. Trinkets and toys, games, etc. are available, as well.

Dont even think of selling your used items to this place because youll get only a pittance for them while they turn around and charge 500-600% more for them on the sales floor. I have a friend who went in there with his books in a sack and he got quoted a pathetic price without the guy even bothering to look what books were in the bag! Pathetic.

I would say that some times the prices could be lower, but hey, it is good to explore and find books you did not know that you wanted. I particularly enjoy thumbing through the theology and religious sections! I can usually find what I surmise to be text books from former seminarians and these would usually be quite expensive books.

Despite being a small store, they have a bit of everything and they have most genres. The video games were priced pretty fairly being 5-20 mostly (for older systems). Their trade in is not really worth it as you make barely anything but Its better than nothing. The employees were nice, helpful, and fast.

What a shock - competent, courteous , honest people work in this store. This must say something about the management - it is so rare to find this kind of staff any where in this day and age. What a wonderful experience.

Too much waste than any other store sold all my GRE BOOKS WORTH of 200$ They gave me 15 dollar frankly they are stealing opportunity from others I sold them for low price as I am moving out of the town

This location is smaller and its really hit or miss whether they are going to have what you are looking for. It is very clean and organized. Id head to 75 & NW highway.
