There is a very defined line between being helpful and being obnoxious and the Lewisville b&n staff clearly have no issue stepping right over it. I went there today with a money to spend and time to browse. In my first 15 minutes I was "greeted" by three separate employees seemingly offering to help me and when I replied that I was ok was then told in long winded detail about the membership or what was on sale. Great...useful information. They probably didnt know that someone else had already told me about the same thing. None the less, I thanked them and continued to shop. I know they are merely doing what b&n undoubtedly requires them to do. A few minutes went by and I was interrupted from my title browsing or synopsis reading to be asked again if I needed any help...by the same three employees and a few new ones too. One of them even made me feel like I was dumb for merely looking over a shelf of books. She seemed concerned that I didnt know exactly what I was looking for even though I had already told her that I was simply just shopping.While I can appreciate their friendliness and the amazing customer service Im sure they would have given I found myself dodging aisles to avoid the employees. All I wanted to do was browse leisurely until I found something that I wanted. What I did not want was to feel accosted or to be treated like an idiot. I just wanted a damn book and instead found myself choking on all the "benefits" and services they kept trying to cram down my throat. B&N really needs to reshape their employee requirements more towards customer service and less salesmanship. Obviously Im in the store to spend money but I dont want to to be treated like Im just a dollar sign.

Nook wasnt working right, so I came into barnes & noble with absolutely nothing but the nook itself and the case it was in. Didnt know who to speak to about it so I went to the front desk and spoke to who I assume was the manager about my nook. She was friendly and ecstatic. Seemed honestly sympathetic about my nook and directed me to customer service. The guy then looked at my nook for a good 15 minutes and determined it was a manufacturer problem and without my receipt or anything they gave me a pre-owned certified nook that works perfect! I am so happy and will be visiting soon again to make further purchases from this location.

Very very helpful staff. A good deal of the books I was looking for werent in stock and had to be ordered, which is okay but I kind of wanted them now. Only down side was the cashier pushing the membership card on me so heavily. Persistence is okay in sales but after I say no twice that should be it. Asking seven times was a bit upsetting.

The staff isnt very friendly, in fact, pretty rude. Every time I ask where a book is, somebody just points the way, and I have to find it myself. If I get lucky, somebody will show me where it is, then slap the book in my hand, then walk away rudely. The layout is great, though. It is very easy to find things.

Got a variety of graphic novels, UK magazines, books, Lego kit, and inquired if it was possible to order a single comic. Checkout clerk looked but was unable to find it. Overall a very productive and expensive trip even with rewards card. Glad I still have a reward card for these trips!

This Barnes and Noble generally has a pretty good selection of books, but it can be hard to find someone to help you out if you dont know where to look. The Starbucks attached makes it easy to sit down with a book and some good coffee and just relax for a while.

Love the smell of an old bookstore which is what this place smells like. You can always find friendly staff and the book or such in this store. Make sure you visit the clearance section towards the middle of the store. Always a great deal to be found.

When its raining or my daughter and I want a quiet day, we go here and I read to her. There is a childs section where we can sit and play and also read. There is a Starbucks here as well, so we get a snack before we sit down to read. I love this place.

Great place for both books and gifts. They were just completely decked out in items that all make great gifts. they had everything from gadgets to calenders to home brewing kits. It was like going to an Adults Scholastic book fair.

The staff is good and they have a good environment with the coffee shop and everything and they have all the good books and book series as well as board games and more. They sell cheap e-readers also so that is a plus. 4 stars.

Im not sure if theres even a Barnes & Noble out there that doesnt deserve a five star rating. The employees are always top noch, the layout and organization of the store is perfect and the bathroom was clean as can be.
